Guys it’s 1 million times harder than it looks. I spent all day doing this and there was glass all over my room and the metal that the glass rests on was bent after all that pressure 😭 glad it’s finally done and taking it to a repair shop was not an option. Do this at your own risk 😂

Stop using metal to unclip connectors in the beginning when disconnecting the screen, you can short someting, better use a plastic spudger, it's much safer.

You need to replace the adhesive around the display and I think it is, not fully like it was from factory, but still water proof.

This is a great tutorial. But my back glass is broken but my camera lens isn’t so do I still take those parts out or can I just leave it as is and not have to

Just don't do anything with the lenses if not broken, you just leave them on. You still have to remove the lense "housing" around the actual lenses for the new glass to be able to fit.

if only need to replace cracked glass in the back, is it necessary or better to remove the battery and some components so the heat gun won't deteriorate them? I guess mostly the battery. thanks
You should only be using the heat gun to get everything to around 90° just enough to soften the glue which won’t be much warmer than the phone staying in your pocket or gaming for a long time on the phone. Removing the battery shouldn’t be necessary just make sure to not have the heat gun too close or in one spot for too long. I’ve been doing repairs on these phones for years and never removed the battery for this.
