Thank you so much for posting this. My 10 year olds phone screen was broken so I paid someone to replace it, 2 days later he dropped it down the toilet!!! I refused to pay someone to replace it screen again for it to not work, purchased a screen on amazon and followed this step by step. DIY Mum to the rescue with a easy step by step tutorial 👌
you make removing the screws on the inside look so easy i have a .6 pentalobe screwdriver that i got in a replacement kit on amazon and the screws are not loosening
I just received my replacement battery for my iPhone 11, and I’m ready to put everything together probably tomorrow. Your voice sounds familiar to me as my ex-wife‘s mother is from Sussex. I miss bubble and squeak, bangers and mash, and steak and kidney pie. It’s been 30+ years since I’ve had it, and watching your video makes me ‘Jones’ for it. Thank you for your time.
U rock man. Everything was fine. But without special tools it would be impossible to do. So first U got to purchase Pentalobe 0,8 / Philips 1,5mm and Tri-wing screwdriver 1,5mm. U'll also need some pliers and a pick to open it would be helpfull.
Cheers for the video mate 🙏🏻 although after replacement I'm still getting a black screen . All cables connected, face sensor done in optimal light etc, any ideas?
You can buy all the tools I use in the video from good quality phone repair parts suppliers or if you’re struggling to find them, AliExpress has them too
For anyone planning on doing this replacement: Buy a quality tri-wing screwdriver, even though cheap repair kit screwdrivers are good enough for other screws, for this type of screw it is worth investing and buying a good tool.
That was awesome but what if i dont have access to the screen data programmer? I bought an after market iPhone 11 screen kit - you think it will just work as is?
@@iDoctorUK cheers man. I wasn’t sure what would be missing so I bought one for only €100 which seems to be a good deal and I can also resell it. I also want to fit a new battery in my iPad Air 2 Thanks for taking the time to reply and wish me luck!
@@iDoctorUK I managed to get a programmer same as your for 100 Euro. about to start my screen replacement shortly.. And it worked flaelessly, just as you showed. The only thing I would add is for a liitle more guidance on using the hot air to release the sensors. I used a hot air gun on a solder rework station like you, starting at 100 degC but went up to 125 degC before it really worked. When I came to repgrogramme the new screen - it didnt work coz the Monkey I bought the device off had not left the battery in - so I wound up closing the phone without programming, and besides my iphone had been assembled with a fold in one of the two screen flexi tracks and the end broke off while trying to adttach to the reprogrammer. I supose I could buy a iphone 6 battery and a new seal for my 11 and open it up again and then reprogramme. But man those little screws are fiddly especially when my interchangeable bits are magnetic. btw - I did it all one-handed without assistance - due to a stroke 4 and half years ago - but it worked - excellent video. cheers
Nice video mate. Is there any program tool that can fix Batterys and Displays on iphones. So you can the % afterwards. And skip the anoying doesnt raconices display and battery messages? / Sweden!
This might help some people: When I replaced the cables and tried to turn it on to test it is working before actually putting the cover back on, it didn't turn on at all. At the end I disconnected and connected back the battery cable and hey presto it came alive when I pressed the power on button.
Hi there! your tutorial are very interesting and easy to follow, I got an ip11 with touch issue (ghost touch) does replacing its entire LCD like what you have did would fix the issue? I got it serviced twice but same problem appear. I still have an old ip7+ and this ip11 is very important to me because it has all the pictures of my son when he was newly born. And I would like to fix it to transfer all of its photos onto my pc.
@@iovedroses4369 No I was wrong, it was my fault for bad research. I’ve recently done a screen repair with programming the screen and it did not take off the notification. However yes transferring the IC to supported replacement screen does take away the notification
@@iovedroses4369 It really is!! I still have to invest to get the tools needed to do so :/ However learning it and just having a dummy phone to practice on isn’t a bad thing to do!! Need a urgent response if possible I got the screen off and everything but I can’t seem to get the shield off I could only get two screws out can I forcefully take it off or no
The guidance for the mechanical repair was great, however the screen software transfer described as "optional" is leading to my screen not being recognized and flagged an "unknown part." What do you recommend?
I tried this on my old 11, I ended up getting it working, but when I dropped it down a flight of carpeted stairs the screen came off, and the tumbling ended up pulling the wires out, so I cant even use this screen again lol ill probably end up getting a new screen anyways just to have as a working backup
when i tried to open it from the left, there is some black ribbon holding the top of the screen to the top of the ‘chassis’ of the phone, do i cut that?
So the last screw next to the face id thing it wont let me retighten it the other three was fine im using a tri point screw driver let me unscrew it though

were you able to get the screws out
@ yeah the manufactur put the screws in backwards somehow so I had to twist right to loosen it
Nailed it! Got it fixed up with absolutely no issues! Thanks!
Thank you so much for the no-nonsense tutorial. I managed to fix my sons phone and saved paying out for a shop repair.

Great video. Is the screen programming process necessary , which i do not have. Just trying my own DIY. Thanks
Excellent tutorial! It's so nice to have a responsive screen again! ☺

Thanks for your detailed video. I was able to replace iphone screen without any issues.👍🏻👍🏻 good job
May I know what screen you used ? Is it OEM or OLED ?... Im confused on what to buy
Same here any luck ?
OEM is the package it comes in. Oled and lcd are the two screen technologies
where did you get your screen, programmer ? and can it also be used for reading and writing during a battery repair also ?
Mate. This tutorial worked for me better than the ifixit one
Thank you.
Excellent video, very clear… thank you …
Does it matter which oled I buy from screen surgery?
And do they all come with the things need to replace it?
Thank you so much for your video❤. I can done this job at home rather than pay a lot $ in Apple Store. Thanks again!

please what is the name of the device you used in the transfer of data?
is it a requirement to transfer the data from yhe old screen to the new one?
Does transfering the true tone data make it so my iphone doesnt complain about a fake screen ?

what kit did you use?
Do u have to transfer the data to the new screen ? What if u don’t have that little reader
tysm, helped me a lot! Greetings from germany.
Replacement done, no issues, detailed and helpful , thanks
Glad it helped
hi where do you get the screens from?
These come from a company called the screen surgery
I’m in South Africa and no one her wants to share this kind of information but soon I’ll find out as I want to repair iphone as my side hustle in the near future 😊
Are you using an LCD or an OLED
Only LCD for iPhone 11
Thank youuuu!
is it necessary to program something when replacing the LCD from one phone to another? or I can exchange piece by piece
The programmer is just to transfer True Tone over. It is not a necessary step for a functioning display
Bro you are the best continue 😊
Thank you for your support 🙏

Whats the name of your true tone tool?
The guidance for the mechanical repair was great, however the screen software transfer described as "optional" is leading to my screen not being recognized and flagged an "unknown part." What do you recommend?
That happens
How often do you get the notification?
Excellent. Thank you for your effort.
what tools do u use ?
Mate what brand of UV resin do you use? People ask nearly every video you use it and I am yet to see a response.
This does the job nicely:

Awesome job, man. Thanks! Very helpful and detailed explanation :)
I recently changed my screen on my iPhone, and yesterday i dropped it and landed one the edge of a stair step. It landed where the LCD is, I think.
What brand after market screen is that
Is USing the Jcid prpgram Necessary will not using cause problems?

if the data don't go over will the phone be like new again? meaning i don't have to put in any password to get into it?
You pretty much just answered your own question
that's a lifesaver
I’m glad it helped
I'm lost... The data is stored in the screen?!! So if we don't have this tool and we didn't back up the phone, will the data be lost?
I should have been clearer, the True Tone data is stored in the screen
when i tried to open it from the left, there is some black ribbon holding the top of the screen to the top of the ‘chassis’ of the phone, do i cut that?
How’d it go?
what happen if i dont use the clipboard to transferring data from old to new...is it causing effect or something please i need to know
it doesn't effect anything but the true tone function which, unless it's something you really value, doesn't matter much.
