But if this is Edain's intent on making Gandalf the White full Maiar with the One Ring, then yes, he should actually be equal.

Even if he is still weakened, he could challenge Sauron with the Ring (that is, if he wanted to break the rules of Manwe)- remember Elendil and Gil-galad? Gandalf with the One Ring has (or should have) at least as much power as both. This Sauron blademaster is BS, I think he should just have a higher regular attack. Sauron's main focus as a hero should be creating massive orc armies, making them stronger, and possibly creating industry, along with a few good army killers... :P
