Good morning 😊 crying sentimental tears. My youngest graduated on Sunday. Looking back, I have tons of moments I miss, but also remember being in the thick of it. I have three kids who were close in age. Like you guys, I didn't have much family support, I sometimes thought bedtime would never come 😂 Now when I miss the kids being little, I get to enjoy my grandbaby ❤
So much to do so little time😬 I too have an Amazon warehouse (father's day, back porch redecorate, 4 bdays, summer cookouts) one of the bday is a surprise 70s summer bash-with costumes... MY MOM HAS 8 KIDS(4B/4G)😁 she kept saying she was done🥴 til the last one and she had her procedure to make sure.....my lil bro graduates high school next year.......oh no the picture frame, glad y'all r ok.....I'm decluttering my closet .....great job as always
I have a 22 - and 25 year old. And , yes, when they were little, everyone said to enjoy the time with them. And when you're in the middle of it, you feel so overwhelmed that it's hard to enjoy it! We were just with our kids this weekend for my FIL funeral. And they are such a joy now, and I really do miss them being little. And I miss seeing them every day. But, it's just a different phase of life to enjoy!

Kim!! I wanted to say thank you! From watching you clean all this time I learned so much! The scrub daddy and mommies. AND especially my mop vacuum!! I love mopping my floors now! And I got a corded shark vacuum that includes the hand vacuum and attachments and I even enjoy vacuuming because it gets so clean without the heavy awkward vacuum and easily gets the walls the corners and edges and yes the window and door jams ets. So thank you for sharing all the things you discover. Wolfgang is adorable! My daughter had her baby girl at almost the same time maybe a couple days later but she watched the birthing process. Kim….. you are like my northern hemisphere twin… I recently had my fifth baby at the end of March (NZ autumn), almost exactly 6 months after you. My eldest was 10.5 years and I’m in my mid 30s ! Watching what you are doing and managing to do, 6 months ahead of me is encouraging!
Please give yourself grace. I had two kids and the youngest graduated high school last year. I cannot explain the mental load of schedules and responsibilities that has been lifted this past year. I feel like a new woman. Plus, having people over all the time doubles stress. I would take a week off from work to get the house ready for birthday parties. A normal house is lived in and not what you see on TV or TH-cam ready houses! We presure ourselves to live up to false expectations. You are killing it in our eyes!
you should get the outdoor windex cleaner for your outdoor windows, it hooks up to your hose and all you do is spray your windows with it and it leaves them clean and no water marks left behind.
We have 5 kiddos too ages 22,21,19,15,14…I love watching you because it reminds me of how life was when mine were small. Even though they all still live at home, life for us has slowed down a bit. Enjoy every chaotic second it goes by soooo fast!

I have three kids 29, 28, & 24 (25 next week). I was dx with MS right after my youngest turned five. I had to stop working six months later, I had my own business working 60-70+ hours per week. This let me spend so much more time with my kids especially my youngest. It 2012 both of my older ones went to college, leaving just me and my youngest. When she went to college, I bawled for at least a week!! This weekend I’m throwing her a birthday and engagement party!! It absolutely blows me away where the time went!! My middle got married a couple years ago. My daughter in law brought her son aka my grandson into our family. They blessed all of us with my granddaughter in 2017!! My oldest just graduated with her Masters in Education. She ran a full marathon last December and now she’s getting ready for her first bodybuilding competition in September!! When everyone’s together it makes me so proud that everyone’s there because I gave birth to all of them!! Yes, I had been married for 17 years with their dad who became an alcoholic, meth addict, liar, thief, mentally & emotionally abusive to me, never had a job, and of course had numerous affairs!! They all turned out great because I never participated in any of those activities. He’s still a bum so neither of my daughters have anything to do with him. My son only does bc he wants a male figure in his life and bc he has my kids half sister who’s only 11. Yes, it goes by too fast but you already know that!!
Our youngest is 3.5 and I truly miss the snuggles but outside of that. A full night sleep, a hot coffee, not having to juggle dinner with one hands. I DO NOT MISS!! I feel like we’re in such a new phase of life, no more diapers, night wakings ect 🎉🎉. You’ll get there and it will be glorious ❤
Make sure Alex does follow up tests to make sure the snippity snippity has worked. I think it has to be done at 2-3 months and another around 6 months to make sure things didn't grow back together. Once those tests come back, you can rest assured it is permanent. Then no double trouble for you! 😂
Was going to comment this myself! Its been researched, SO MANY men DON'T go for the second check up to 100% confirm that their swimmers aint swimming any more and thats why "oops babbies" can happen. So i very much second, make sure that he goes to the second check up 🤗

Murphys oil soap is good on many surfaces. When I cleaned houses we used it on all floor surfaces. (We cleaned by hand) but even with a mop it will work well.
You can use a mop to clean the walls. I've seen folks use a spin mop to clean walls and tall cabinets. Even cleaning baseboards. I've used a cheap dollar tree mop as they have removable mop pads. I love it. Also on the slider track try a brush with a handle to scrub them. Dollar tree has a few different styles. They are really good for scrubbing.
Hi Kim! Empty nester here! We raised 6 kids who are now adults. We have 3 grandsons and 2 sons getting married next year (3 months apart -$$$$$ LOL). Its been a tough transition to this season of life BUT our job is to raise them to be happy,independent adults and indeed they are! Many times I wish they were little again but this is the circle of life and we are going with that.
I like that you keep it real. No one's home is picture perfect all the time. Some do, but with 5 kids, not realistic. Don't eat yourself over it. You're awesome 😊

Murphy's Oil Soap! My mom used it on our cabinets and certain laundry stains. It's the best b/c like dissolves like. So it actually breaks down oil and grime really well. She also used spic and span but you had to rinse it and I'm like you, I don't want to clean something twice! Ever considered pulling your couches up onto the area rug to make the room cozier? I wish I had our energy again. I used to but not since I was in my 40s due to health issues. You do an amazing job managing your household- color me impressed!
Hahahaha I love all your sound effects. I enjoyed my babies and did not look forward to being an empty nest although my husband was lolol. But after I got used to it and cried over them. I am actually enjoying this! 😂😂😂 and my kids are new parents and I'm enjoying watching them be good parents. It was all worth it. Now it's me and my husband and we love the outdoors. Just started kayaking! You're doing a super great job! Yes you do inspire me to clean more! 😂❤

I was almost an empty nester but then we had three more 😂 and waiting on first grand to arrive this year 😂 so I’m in the thick of it enjoying everything I can while I can lol I wish I had stoped and soaked in the moments of the oldest kids I was just in survival mode and really trying to make memories and stop and enjoy now.
Yea, I gave up on the cleaning machines too (little green machine). It seems like they're more trouble than they're worth. Yikes! I hate broken glass. One time a picture fell from my wall and through a glass topped side table. Oy!
We are empty nesters and I still don’t do it well. They both have graduated college and I still struggle with certain aspects of my roll. I miss them, so proud of them!
I just love how you carry your baby around while your cleaning! Our only child is adopted, everyone always told me to put her down but i said never! We waited so long to get her that i always wanted her next to me, so lol, i carried her til she was 7.
I had four children in five years and I know how it wears you out. I used to long for a break. Sometimes they were a joy and other times there were difficult days. After my youngest was 8 I had another. I think you are doing amazing 😻. Just make a bit of time for yourself and Alex if you get the chance. House work never ends, just do what you can. I work at amazon and can answer your package questions....the computer will tell the packers what box to use (even though common sense tells them not to). If the wrong size box gets used the box will get kicked out and the packer will "get coached".

Cleaning never ends It’s like Groundhog Day. Sometimes I love cleaning and other times I force myself to do it. When my kids were at home I had to be really organised, now they’re grown I still seem as if I’m cleaning a lot. I can remember how exhausting it was when they were young. Sometimes I used to think how lovely it would be to just relax and do my own thing and sleep . Because, my kids and grandkids live in England and we live in Spain, I get to enjoy them at different intervals and it soo lovely. I look forward to them coming. We have a large house to accommodate them as we want them to spend time with us. We now have time to do what we want when they go home, but alway look forward to their visits. It’s like being on a merry go round when their young, there never seems to be enough hours in the day. You can only do your best and to me you have a good balance. What does it really matter if there’s a mess at times, you get there in the end and do your best to have quality time. If people don’t like it, they can always stay at home. Love and best wishes. Your baby boy is a joy 🤩 you must be soo proud of them all. Xxx 😘

One thing I learned because I live in California where we have earthquakes, I hang my pictures up like normal but I add command strips to the bottom so it stays in place

Kim, I think there was a piece of glass on your rug but for the most part you got it up. Always so much to do but fun to watch. I’m cleaning from everyone being at the house for a grad party. My last grandson graduated. So much to wash and clean up but it was fun.
Kim, not to talk you into any more projects/renovations but… our cabinets were dark just like yours and I painted them light last summer when I was 40 weeks pregnant and let me tell you- they stay looking soooo much cleaner! I thought the same thing but wow they make me happy. Haha maybe you can put that idea on the backburner for a few years!
The window cleaner for the hose works great. It also cleans the screens and the tracks. I use it twice a year to clean the outside of the windows all around the house. For me that is good enough. Just remember to close all the windows before you use it. LOL

I love that your play room has color!!!! Your not on board with the beige and boring moms! Don’t get me wrong I love neutrals in my home in like the living room and in my bedroom but the play area for my child I think needs pops of color! Also, I do understand that a lot of kids stuff is just obnoxiously bright and “miss matchy” but some color is always really nice for the little ones!
Just had to chime in one more time about Meredith talking about the "2 babies". That is adorable by the way! I know you said you are done, and that is okay. I said I was done after my having my 4rth child, very emphatically, outloud so everyone would know! I immediately got a weird feeling that saying we were done was wrong. Then I had a dream about a little baby boy and a birth mom and we had adopted him. . A year later, we found out about a baby boy that needed placing quickly, as the Aunt he was with couldn't take him anymore. That baby is now our youngest son and happiest, funnest, best surprise ever! Maybe you will adopt? Who knows, God sometimes has other plans for your family.

My hubby & i thought we were well on our way to empty nesters, but we got a surprise lol. Our eldest daughter will be 18 in Sept and our youngest will be 3 in October.
I only had 2 kids and they are 12 years apart. I lost my oldest last June, and my youngest turns 21 this year. Do I miss the stage when my kids were young? Of course; seeing children grow, get their personalities, become who they’re meant to be is amazing to witness. (And remembering my daughter when she was little and missing her so very much everyday). However, I had a lot more energy when I was younger when my kids were little. I do not have little kid energy anymore! So I think two worked for me just fine.

great progress Kim, my rental has only one toilet downstairs, it's soo small if I bend with the door open,people walking their dogs could see my behind ;-) it's literally just the toilet and a basin so small there's no room for the hand soap, that lives on the toilet reservoir for now and nothing upstairs, that playroom toilet is at least 3 times bigger but I don't mind, less surface areas to clean haha, your amazon warehouse made me laugh
Morning! Our six weeks of summer vacay starts on Friday! I’m not ready! Looking forward to sleeping a little later, though. I’m definitely ready for that. Also, if the kids want more access to animals, the older ones can volunteer at animal shelters. That might scratch that itch.
Hey Kim, you kept me company while cleaning out my deepfreeze. You mentioned a couple of videos you wanted to do that. After i empty mine out i unplug it, come back in 30 minutes and I'm able to chip off all the frost with a plastic pancake flipper.
Put some poster tack under the bottom of your frames when you hang them and they will be more secure to the wall. You know that stuff, it’s like putty but it sticks things to the wall. Or command strips would work too.
When I had my 3rd and last , my husband got a VAS….. I had regrets and hoped and prayed for a months it didn’t work 😂😂 Was taking pregnancy test one after the other just knowing it didn’t work ! Well it worked ! I knew I was done , but had that instant feeling of final ! I got over it eventually but until this day I feel I should have had the 4th !! They say 4 is easier than 3.. IDK :) What we miss as Empty Nestor’s is the time . I don’t miss being in the thick of it , I miss when I was their rising and setting of the sun:) But what a amazing season to see them as adults and still being close :) I have one at home he’s 27 and works out of the country a lot . So it’s nice when he’s home :) And before you know it you’re grandparents :) Being a Grandma is the best and my Granddaughter is my absolute Sun! So trust when I say the home will never really be empty, just seasons change :) ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Agree on the chickens. They've been a great pet/science project for my girls. They love them so much and it's such a responsibility building project.

To get wride of your boxes put them around your plants to keep your garden watering down, put your compost or grass klipings on your plants
Make sure Alex does follow up tests to make sure the snippity snippity has worked. I think it has to be done at 2-3 months and another around 6 months to make sure things didn't grow back together. Once those tests come back, you can rest assured it is permanent. Then no double trouble for you! 😂

Murphys oil soap is good on many surfaces. When I cleaned houses we used it on all floor surfaces. (We cleaned by hand) but even with a mop it will work well.

You can use a mop to clean the walls. I've seen folks use a spin mop to clean walls and tall cabinets. Even cleaning baseboards. I've used a cheap dollar tree mop as they have removable mop pads. I love it.
Also on the slider track try a brush with a handle to scrub them. Dollar tree has a few different styles. They are really good for scrubbing.

Hi Kim! Empty nester here! We raised 6 kids who are now adults. We have 3 grandsons and 2 sons getting married next year (3 months apart -$$$$$ LOL). Its been a tough transition to this season of life BUT our job is to raise them to be happy,independent adults and indeed they are! Many times I wish they were little again but this is the circle of life and we are going with that.

I like that you keep it real. No one's home is picture perfect all the time. Some do, but with 5 kids, not realistic. Don't eat yourself over it. You're awesome 😊

Murphy's Oil Soap! My mom used it on our cabinets and certain laundry stains. It's the best b/c like dissolves like. So it actually breaks down oil and grime really well. She also used spic and span but you had to rinse it and I'm like you, I don't want to clean something twice! Ever considered pulling your couches up onto the area rug to make the room cozier? I wish I had our energy again. I used to but not since I was in my 40s due to health issues. You do an amazing job managing your household- color me impressed!
Hahahaha I love all your sound effects. I enjoyed my babies and did not look forward to being an empty nest although my husband was lolol. But after I got used to it and cried over them. I am actually enjoying this! 😂😂😂 and my kids are new parents and I'm enjoying watching them be good parents. It was all worth it. Now it's me and my husband and we love the outdoors. Yea, I gave up on the cleaning machines too (little green machine). It seems like they're more trouble than they're worth. Yikes! I hate broken glass. One time a picture fell from my wall and through a glass topped side table. Oy!
We are empty nesters and I still don’t do it well. They both have graduated college and I still struggle with certain aspects of my roll. I miss them, so proud of them!

We waited so long to get her that i always wanted her next to me, so lol, i carried her til she was 7.
I had four children in five years and I know how it wears you out. I used to long for a break. Sometimes they were a joy and other times there were difficult days. After my youngest was 8 I had another. I think you are doing amazing 😻. Just make a bit of time for yourself and Alex if you get the chance. House work never ends, just do what you can. I work at amazon and can answer your package questions....the computer will tell the packers what box to use (even though common sense tells them not to). If the wrong size box gets used the box will get kicked out and the packer will "get coached".

I am a single mom of 4 kids and the last one just graduated from high school. All the emotions for sure. I have 2 that still live at home but that will change in the future. Can't imagine being an empty nester. Your videos are awesome. Happy summer.
Cleaning never ends
It’s like Groundhog Day. Sometimes I love cleaning and other times I force myself to do it. When my kids were at home I had to be really organised, now they’re grown I still seem as if I’m cleaning a lot. I can remember how exhausting it was when they were young. Sometimes I used to think how lovely it would be to just relax and do my own thing and sleep
. Because, my kids and grandkids live in England and we live in Spain, I get to enjoy them at different intervals and it soo lovely. I look forward to them coming. We have a large house to accommodate them as we want them to spend time with us.
We now have time to do what we want when they go home, but alway look forward to their visits.
It’s like being on a merry go round when their young, there never seems to be enough hours in the day.
You can only do your best and to me you have a good balance. What does it really matter if there’s a mess at times, you get there in the end and do your best to have quality time. If people don’t like it, they can always stay at home. Love and best wishes. Your baby boy is a joy 🤩 you must be soo proud of them all. Xxx 😘

One thing I learned because I live in California where we have earthquakes, I hang my pictures up like normal but I add command strips to the bottom so it stays in place

Kim, not to talk you into any more projects/renovations but… our cabinets were dark just like yours and I painted them light last summer when I was 40 weeks pregnant and let me tell you- they stay looking soooo much cleaner! I thought the same thing but wow they make me happy. Haha maybe you can put that idea on the backburner for a few years!

The window cleaner for the hose works great. It also cleans the screens and the tracks. I use it twice a year to clean the outside of the windows all around the house. For me that is good enough. Just remember to close all the windows before you use it. LOL

Hey Kim, mom of 5 here. Lol my last little birdie is flying the coop this summer and it feels so weird! It's just my husband and I most days and we are still trying to figure it all out lol for the first time in 28 years I won't have a kid living with me anymore and I'm not sure how it's gonna go! Lol I sure do enjoy the peace and quiet but I also miss the noise too ❤
I love that your play room has color!!!! Your not on board with the beige and boring moms! Don’t get me wrong I love neutrals in my home in like the living room and in my bedroom but the play area for my child I think needs pops of color!
Also, I do understand that a lot of kids stuff is just obnoxiously bright and “miss matchy” but some color is always really nice for the little ones!
Just had to chime in one more time about Meredith talking about the "2 babies". That is adorable by the way! I know you said you are done, and that is okay. I said I was done after my having my 4rth child, very emphatically, outloud so everyone would know! I immediately got a weird feeling that saying we were done was wrong. Then I had a dream about a little baby boy and a birth mom and we had adopted him. . A year later, we found out about a baby boy that needed placing quickly, as the Aunt he was with couldn't take him anymore. That baby is now our youngest son and happiest, funnest, best surprise ever! Maybe you will adopt? Who knows, God sometimes has other plans for your family.
Just store your cutting board on the dining room table with a centerpiece on top. It will look nice and be handy when you need it.

My hubby & i thought we were well on our way to empty nesters, but we got a surprise lol. Our eldest daughter will be 18 in Sept and our youngest will be 3 in October.
I only had 2 kids and they are 12 years apart. I lost my oldest last June, and my youngest turns 21 this year. Do I miss the stage when my kids were young? Of course; seeing children grow, get their personalities, become who they’re meant to be is amazing to witness. (And remembering my daughter when she was little and missing her so very much everyday). However, I had a lot more energy when I was younger when my kids were little. I do not have little kid energy anymore! So I think two worked for me just fine.

great progress Kim, my rental has only one toilet downstairs, it's soo small if I bend with the door open,people walking their dogs could see my behind ;-) it's literally just the toilet and a basin so small there's no room for the hand soap, that lives on the toilet reservoir for now and nothing upstairs, that playroom toilet is at least 3 times bigger but I don't mind, less surface areas to clean haha, your amazon warehouse made me laugh

Hey Kim, you kept me company while cleaning out my deepfreeze. You mentioned a couple of videos you wanted to do that. After i empty mine out i unplug it, come back in 30 minutes and I'm able to chip off all the frost with a plastic pancake flipper.

Put some poster tack under the bottom of your frames when you hang them and they will be more secure to the wall. You know that stuff, it’s like putty but it sticks things to the wall. Or command strips would work too.

The trick is to get the procedure that snips and then knots and not just knots, lol. Also, Murphy soap works so much better than everything else when cleaning cabinets! It's so good!
I only use one cleaner lysol I use it on everything (not glass )
