- Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me while I decluttered my closet! It was a huge declutter job and wow was it a satisfying before and after! I was so happy to declutter so many things that have been piling up the past couple of years as I navigate pregnancy and postpartum for the last time. Hope this gave you some motivation to declutter something around your space too!

Get yourself a donations bin IN YOUR closet so when you try something on and dont like the way it fits it goes right into the donate bin! When the bin is full, get rid of it! :)
Its so fun to watch these. Whenever stuff in my closet falls on me I scream out and my husband yells from another room CRAPALANCHE?

I had my fourth baby a little over a year ago, and this is my first summer in seven and a half years where I’m not pregnant or nursing a baby! I went through my whole closet too and got rid of maternity, nursing clothes, the postpartum clothes, and the middle ground not postpartum but not my pre-pregnancy size either clothes. It’s bittersweet to be done having babies, but it was also a huge relief to get rid of the clothes for three of my other bodies!
You’re such a joy, you are without a doubt my favorite person to watch declutter. ❤

Something that’s very helpful to me: keep a (labeled!) donate bin in your closet. If you put something on and don’t like it, it doesn’t flatter, doesn’t fit, throw it straight in the donate box. When it’s full, donate it. I have one in my kids’ closets too for when they outgrow their clothes.

Also I do the same and squirrel away presents in my closet too! Maybe you can find another place for gifts and upcoming holiday items so your closets doesn’t become the spot things get forgotten about. I moved our school supplies and gifts to a hall closet.

Hey girl! I love a good declutter its so motivating! I had an idea, though... what if you added a basket inside your closet dedicated to donations? Once you realize something doesn't fit, isn't flattering, just changed your mind, etc toss it in the bin immediately. Then, the closest stays decluttered and it's easy to bag it up and drop it off! ❤
This is the second time watching the closet organization. You’re right, get rid of the ottoman, it will become a catch all. Put a big hamper or basket, no lid, where the dresser was, that way you can toss things in it without using the floor.
Shoes: I have three kids, my feet grew a half size with each pregnancy. Started size 5 1/2, then 6, now 6 1/2.
Kim, I'm not postpartum like you but I'm on the same journey of coming back to life, and I swear it is still recovering from the pandemic. I know I can't be the only one! Anyway, love following you 😍

You did a really fantastic job! I like hanging stuff up - it takes only two seconds to hang up one item of clothing. After I declutter, I keep only a few extra hangers and get rid of all the other ones. I also space my clothes out across the rods to give them room to “breathe”. It also gives the impression that the closet is full and it prevents me from going out and buying more.
I would love a closet that big. But I could never fill it,I got rid of over 6 garbage bags full over the last year. You are so hilarious in your videos,you should be a comedian.

When you finally move into your office, you ought to consider some built-in storage pieces. Think about being able to move the wrapping paper, and Cricut, and office stuff into a new office! Fun!
You’re a hoot! It might help you to keep control of your closet, one…deal with your stuff immediately instead of storing it and two, if you bring in more clothes, you declutter the same amount of new items. It works for me…just a thought! Have a great weekend Kim! Love your videos.

Its funny you asked if people feet grew after pregnancy. Yes! I gained 1/2 a size and my hair changed colors with both pregnancies I had. It went from blonde to a brownish/reddish color-so weird!!

Hanging stuff never happened consistently for me until I kept some hangers in my laundry room so while I’m folding laundry I can hang it at the same time and just rotate hangers back and forth as they empty and fill.

When I look at your closet I am again amazed how wealthy we in the US are. When there are people who do not even have food we in the US are "hoarders" in many ways, just with our clothing.
