Hi Tyler, I had just completed a similar tool rack for my shed yesterday and just saw this video now. The difference is that mine is rectangular. They really are a space saver. I made a notched shelf that uses high space to hang mattocks and picks. I really like the use of door as shelf space, as I go along I will see what I can adapt. I don’t have as much room. Thanks for sharing your creation.
My only concern would be the door hinges. Those leaf hinges are holding a lot of weight. You might consider piano hinges as an upgrade. Can't believe how much you crammed in there! Good job!
Great job using the space to store things. When it started showing all the shelves up to the top, it reminded me of building shelves above my garage door tracks. Great ideas indeed! Thanks for sharing!
this is about the exact same size i'm going to make mine...lots of great ideas..love the door idea...mine will be 4 deep by 7 wide...i plan on making it a little taller for more shelf space though...i'm aiming for 8 to 9 feet
Although u have Drip edge on your shed (which is good), shingles should still overhang about an inch. Also the OSB shouldn't ever be exposed to the elements long term. Otherwise great job 👏🏽 👍🏼 👌🏽
That chip board ply-board is never OK on exterior or exposure to wet conditions. A good soaking from a thunderstorm and closing the shed up wet for a few days and you've got big big de-lamination issues with chip board. I like some of the storage ideas, just use exterior grade plywood to survive the elements.
I drilled a large hole in the top front of the wheelbarrow and then screwed in a large J hook (like you'd hang a bike from) into the rafter. I think I had to bend the hook a little to get it to fit in easily.
Q #1: Are those nails or screws that are holding the gardening hand-tools on the inside door @ the 1:02 mark. :) I worry about driving a nail or screw thru the other side of the wall and it poking outside! lol We're getting our Tuff Shed installed soon and I'm combing thru TH-cam videos for organization ideas. Q#2: Were those shelves on the door (by the tools) bought pre-made or did you make those yourself? Nice job either way! thanks for posting this.
#1 They are construction screws. The door frame is built out of 2x2s with OSB on the exterior and then some OSB on the interior at the bottom for those hand tools. The screws are only about an inch long and only penetrate into the dead space behind the interior sheet of OSB. #2 The shelves are custom made out of 1/4 inch plywood brad nailed together and then screwed into the 2x2 frame (on the sides). Thanks for the compliments.
Thats awsome , you built yourself a bomb! Storing gas above fertilizer is not a good idea. If you mix the two and light it up you get kaboom! Its great if you life insurance taken out on the ocupants inside the house next door.
You should turn the smooth laminated side to the outside so that rain water, etc. bead off, and the shed will last much longer, and don't forget to paint that ugly thing.
Your video is 12 seconds longer than my video lol. I like your rake rack. I have 8 by 10. Check mine out. How I organize a shed 2 kingbing entertainment.
Looks good hope u did the outside of your shed so all that hard work won’t go down the drain . Maybe u should post a follow up on your completed shed

Great ideas indeed! Thanks for sharing!
Like the storage ideas.
My admiration for your organization. Thank for the inspiring ideas.
I'm making a garden shed soon, So I will be taking every tip from this video. THANK YOU :D
Looks nice man. The only thing missing, is a beer mini fridge.
WOW!!!! Incredible job and thank you for sharing. This is just what I needed to see!!!!!
Very nice! Should do an update of what it looks like all finished
the shelf idea on the doors its a very great idea
Great she’s. Do you have the plans available?
Great idea using the doors as extra storage space!

Hope your osb doesn't get wet a few times. When it does it will swell and fall apart.

Awesome use of space great job. I'm going to organise mine tomoro and will be using the tool stand idea👍
Decent design. Only thing that pops up is that it needs paint or covering of some sort.
Very utilitarian. Where do keep the snow blower and chipper shredder?
I think those doors will rack and sag from the weight of the shelf items. It's not a robust door and I'm guessing in a year it won't line up anymore.
I’m nearly six years since building it. No problems yet.
@@TylerWangsgard The OSB held up 6 years in the rain
Very cool shed!
Liked the ideas Ty
Great Job!!!
that OSB dont melt in rain?
Thats worst wood you can use. Interior great. But better put siding on. Paint wont do
he said he was gonna put some "masonry siding". i would prefer vinyl or some other plastic siding but yeah.
Here we are 6 years later.... how is the door sag with all that extra weight? I like the ideas still!
No sagging at all.
Good ideas
How are you hanging the wheelbarrow? You've done a really nice job. Thank you for sharing.

@@TylerWangsgard Thanks for responding. I'm going to organize my storage shed this spring and many of your ideas will be helpful.

Hi what are the measurements for the door shelves?
Very smart!!!
I like the shed tho.. good job on that.
So perfect
Shed looks great how tall is the front and back walls
Back wall is 8 ft, front wall is 6 ft if I remember correctly.
Smart
your tools won't last long outside like tht will get rusted from moisture I have a 10 x10 with ac inside on window
I live in the second driest state in the nation. Humidity is definitely not a problem. But thanks for the words of caution.
