I just love seeing you back again, Monica. The Weekender is one of my favorite all-time series, I have watched each season over and over many times. I think my favorite this season was the mid-century modern makeover, it was just balanced so beautifully and wasn't all "satellite" late 1950s-to mid 1960s gone wild style. You really have the perfect touch, a real gift for design and decor.
I’ve loved each of the makeovers for different reasons that are specific to my own space and abilities. This channel is what I’ve been missing since I canceled cable and lost access to a certain channel that I used to watch regularly. I will occasionally see a show and realize it has gone so high-end as to be unachievable. And, frankly, with a negative tone. I love this series because Monica is so engaging and encouraging. The homeowners’ reactions are fun to see. I particularly liked this episode when the homeowner absolutely went after the vanity demo. I even appreciate the skeptics because the tone doesn’t read as if they are fighting every choice like it’s their jobs. I like to see the style choices for inspiration. I may not want a green bathroom for myself but I can take all the inspiration to make better style decisions in my own space. And it encourages me to tackle some projects that I might doubt myself. Like tile! I really love this series and hope more seasons are to come.
I think someone has mentioned this before but Monica really is the Mary Poppins of interior design 🤩Brilliant job as usual, love the cosy feel of the bathroom and the tile choice is just awesome, really lovely couple too, they were so appreciative, go the Weekender! Also, special shout out to Matty, we need to see more of him cause we have missed him too! ☺

This video is right on time! I have a 1983 townhome with similar bathrooms and issues. I carefully removed the old vanities as I donated them. I'm keeping the existing tile floor too. The checkerboard tile isn't my style but I can appreciate it. I purchased a vanity and the base fit perfectly in the nook. Unfortunately, the included marble top extends on the side, so I've got to get it shaved off on each side. Most importantly, the couple loves their bathroom, great job!
Often while it is in the works some things (like the tiles here) seem kind of odd but in the end it always comes out great looking. This bathroom really is something special.
My fav was mcm L shaped livingroom diningroom entryway combo lol! But this season has been magnificent and am so looking forward to the next one and beyond 🙏🏼❤️
I was very skeptical of the checkerboard tile application but seeing it altogether really is beautiful. I love love the arched mirrors! Monica you always stretch my thinking by going just outside the box! Can you just do these videos full time? Like no season but all year?!

Luv the whole bathroom, of course. Monica is just that person that comes up With ideas that make any room look great. But the tiles...luv, luv the different colour on the edges. So unique!! And sad that's the last episode for the season 😔. And I don't have a fourite, they were all great, beautiful. Awesome 👌 job Monica ❤️
i love this overall espically the tile - but the silver show handle, black faccuet and black hardware then gold lights look a little mixmatched. I think a gold shower handle to bring it together, as well as elimate one of the 3 metal colors, would look so much better.
OK! The bathroom is very beautiful, I do think that the retro 80s look that you took out the bathroom you kind of put back in with the tile but your homeowner is more than extremely happy with it all and that’s really all that counts! But that was there pretty semi-easy but massive transformation! With some of the others on this channel end of season !?!?! Lord I hope it doesn’t take another two years I hope you take Leica a month off and start up again lol
Yes! The checkerboard tile is very outdated and 80’s. When I saw the preview , I thought the after pic was the before picture. I really don’t like it at all.
I've got a really similar kitchen to that Industrial Farmhouse Kitchen episode, so it was the most inspiring for me! I've been debating staining my butcherblock counters darker, but I might leave them light and just paint my cabinets dark instead! It came out so beautifully.
There's none from all what monica designed that i don't like. They all look gorgeous! The episode i love the most was when you redesigned a victorian kitchen and took out some massive cabinets and put in some open shelving, forgot what episode that was. Cant wait for the next season, make it the soonest please.
Nice update, however I wish you guys did the shower doorframe in black to match the fixtures plus that ugly mixer shower knob...not so nice 😞 I love mix-metals but black, gold and the silver/ aluminium in that small space don't likely!
I usually love your design choices. And this bathroom was no different than usual except for the checkerboard tiles. Not a fan. It makes me think of a diner kitchen even though the colors aren't the same. I did like the colors that you chose for the walls and the ceiling although I would have done the entire room walls and ceiling with the ceiling color. I look forward to Saturdays because I get my dose of Weekender!
Thank you again for another great season! Monica and team really get it done, and I'm always inspired to stop by Lowes to grab the items she shares with her tips. This show is by far one of my favorite series to watch. I'm hopeful there will be more to come in the future!
Love the show, and they seem so happy with their new space! It's not my style, with the rustic tiles, and the darker ceiling. I would prefer a closed laundry hamper (don't look at my delicates, please!) and I would love to see a plant /small chair in the corner to fill that space,; a pretty runner in front of the sinks; and a change to the bathroom door. The mirrors, vanity and new lighting are great and the shower doors are a nice upgrade, but I wonder why you didn't centre the towel hooks under the shelf?
The bathroom. We need a new bathroom so bad and now we have my 91 year old mom with really bad knee’s and we only have tubs. We’re try hard to save to get it done!! Just hard being retired too. Love watching you to get great ideas thank you
I couldn't agree more with you! I have gotten so much inspiration from Monica over the seasons, and at 71 I'm still undertaking smallish-projects thanks to her inspiration. I have watched her Weekender Series several times over the past years and I never get tired of seeing them over and over again. She fires me up with inspiration.
I never understand the 3 ways faucets, like is it high end going back in time, where you need to adjust the temperature of the water little by little, instead of the one hand adjuster?
Looks like it's straight out of the 70s. Especially the curved mirrors and checkerboard tile. I should know, I was there! It's all way too busy... No thanks!
I like everything (paint, vanity, shelves, art, etc.) except the tiles. The brown edges make them look dirty. For myself, I would go for the not aged green and white tiles. Not bad for a weekend and it's giving me " I can do this" makeover vibes.

I like your projects, but I can't get past the multiple metal colors in this bathroom. You have stainless, black, and brass mixed in one small bathroom. It looks mis-matched and kind of cluttered to me. I would have picked one and stuck with it. Otherwise I really liked it!
Monica lives in the Philly area. That's why the makeovers are there. They're probably not doing them right now. It took them like three years just to do this season, lol.

Anyone whose lived in an apartment would never pick that ceiling color. Renter’s beige 😖 I wish I was more of a fan of this one. I like the idea they were going for but I feel like execution fell flat. The brown around the tile makes it look dirty like old grout.
Nope, this one's not working for me..I really don't like chequered wall tiles, I think just the green tiles would be better..I don't like the ceiling colour either or the mirrors..Everything else I like..As long as they are happy, that's what matters :-)
This is not updated, not even cohesive. That checkerboard pattern is bold and will become tiring very quickly. The ceiling is too dark, too orange, and the walls are too light. They don't have the strength to carry the ceiling.The vanity was the object of contention. Nice choice. I would have added pull out slides and drawers. Love the shower doors. New Lighting was already outdated
Looks like the builder wanted to make the counter fir under the window. Must have been don by a man. He could have made the 2 sinks same height & make up table lower. 30" high max. Need a pony wall between toilet & door if room.
Those type of Showers/ walls are horrible... they " yellow " over time ...looks like it already started. A tub would have looked much better . I like the Tile wall but I think a lighter Green ( Sage Colour family) would have been a bit more " Neutral ". I hate those Towel Hook things, EVERYONE'S got that. There was enough space for a lovely piece of " bathroom Furniture ", like a pretty corner cabinet, and a nice bathroom chair..... Every bathroom needs some kind of stool/ chair .
Monica is very skilled but all these makeovers for homes has gotten so sad. The owners are usually so aloof and pretentious. Do they realize how blessed they really are ? Do they know the he'll people are going through in countries that are in war torn areas and so poor? Just had to get it off my chest.
But if Monica came to your house and did a free house makeover, you would have no complaints. i don't understand this mentality of "Oh, everyone is rich, but I'm poor, so it's OK if I get free stuff and they don't." wtf.
