The best source of evidence-based physical therapy education on TH-cam. Your work is absolutely amazing guys, thank you so much for putting this out for free ❤
Do you actually cured yourself of this and don’t experience pain anymore? I’ve been dealing with this on and off for about two years now…. I admit, up until recently I was let consistent with doing my PT exercises or stretches. I had hoped enough time away from activities + a little pt exercises thrown in here and there would fix this up… clearly I was wrong. I hope that with consistency and a routine I can finally kick this thing in the butt… It’s relieving to read about other people having success with this video and getting to live a pain free life. I want to go back to lifting weights so badly!
It feels almost like stealing, that amount of comprehensive knowledge and guidelines for free! I struggle with elbow pain myself and will definitely incoporate some of the exercises. Thank you!
Brilliant video, as a guy who has been suffering from this for a long time, noted that 'rest and do nothing' is both impossible and doesn't work, and often tried to do too much too soon, this is going to be my go to guide now. Thanks for putting such a comprehensive video together. Doctor this week just told me rest for another 3 months, but I'm going with your approach :)
As a rock climber I've spent the past 2 weeks researching treatments for this. This is basically a comprehensive summary of everything I found. Thank you!
By far and away the best resource I have come across for rehabing my elbow issues. Incredible information, concise and flawlessly delivered with excellent suggestions on treatment. Yeah, great job to all those over there at E3 Rehab, a huge thank you to you all.
I've had medial elbow tendinopathy for over a month from lifting. From what I've heard, recovery time can be pretty long (between 6 months and one year, even longer). It would be nice to talk about it in your videos because at first I thought it would be gone in a few weeks. That being said, great video with tons of useful info !
Fantastic video. Put a smile on my face that I don’t need to stop exercise and ‘rest’. Not so keen on this taking 3 months to heal but oh well. I’ll follow your program and tailor as needed.
Excellent video! Very clear and comprehensive presentation delivering a large amount of information in very organized manner with no bs. Thanks for the great content!
All the injuries I’ve had in life have eventually caught up with me and this video seems to target every imbalance and deficiency. Thank you for showing us what we really need to do for rehab.
This is a great video, super informative and well structured. 2 weeks ago i fell backwards on my hands while skateboarding and i felt my left elbow kind of not taking it well. It was not broked, coz i was able to flex and extend it imediatelly afterwards, but the next day the movements were restricted. The xray showed nothing is broken, but the doctor was kind of a bad guy and kicked me out of the cabinet saying i am alright. Now my ragne of motion is back to normal, but i feel pain after training.with weights. I am gonna give a week or two of rest and start wiith the rehab exercises from the vid and little by little will go back to my normal training sessions. Thanx a lot for this video! Peace!
From start to finish this video was a wealth of information. About 2 years ago I was having an awesome workout and at the end I decided to do some easy bar curls to finish things off. I could say they were nothing close to easy and I flared up my left inner elbow so bad the next week I lost 40 lbs on my bench. Never again. My left shoulder also gives me problems with squats. I have a hard time getting it back under the bar and releasing hurts even worse. There is also this snapping sting that happens after heavy upper body or pulling exercises. Afterwards the prone angel progression is unbelievably painful. I've had these problems with my elbow and shoulders for quite some time and I've come to the conclusion the techniques you're showing in this video are going to be a way of life if I want to start moving towards being pain free.
Jeff Cavalier nailed this one years ago. He fixed my pain, one that I had for years, within a matter of a few weeks and I have been able to go back to lifting without issues ever since. God bless the physical therapy industry. If it wasn't for you guys and especially in my case him, I'd never have been able to continue my career as a competitive weightlifter.
Thanks for this! I had my first physical therapy visit days ago, was given this diagnosis (too-much too-fast inflammation). Now, thanks to your video, I see how this too-much too-fast error has injured other tendons in my body. You video's specific, applicable wisdom gives me a new hope that I can navigate the many adjustment-choices necessary to make my essential physical-maintenance workouts more conducive to recovery, and less likely to cause another too-much too-fast injury.
Amazing content. I have facing for almost a 10 months everything that you mentioned in the video. It started with my elbow , wrist and now shoulder. I’ll make this exercises. Thanks !!
Just want to point out that if you are taking boron...make sure you get enough B2... otherwise it can lead to tendon issues. Wish i knew this a little earlier.
Thanks for this, yup my golf swing has improved. I just don't want to stop playing. I did stop hitting a lot of balls on the range using my bore instead of my elbow.
Many thanks! Great video--a full range of exercises, clearly presented. My "golfer's elbow" came from playing guitar, from overworking my left hand fingering chords. I got over-enthusiastic and started playing many hours a day but didn't work up to it gradually. I'm going to give this program a try. Some of the exercises I recognize from my tennis elbow rehab (which did come from playing tennis).
Hi Brad, I also got it from guitar. I feel so sad and depressive. I used to play at least 5 to 6 hours a day but one day it felt terribly bad. I thought I was strengthening my fingers by playing but oh man I was so wrong. I'm also going to give a try to this problem. Please share your recovery progress with us too :)
Excellent video with new nuances compared to what I have read. However, I am consed about the recommendation to do grip strength and wrist curls. I feel that these type of movements are the cause of my elbow pain.
I have this from time to time but it usually goes away by itself most likely as you suggested because of changes in my program regardless of the injury balance out the load and recovery
Great educational video. I would add that I got this as a drummer on tour, being in a vehicle all day didn't seem to help. I usually have a very regular training routine, so sitting all day in a car felt terrible, and my arms would feel stiff even after warming up before performing.
Hello. Thank you a lot for your videos. I am a powerlifter. I recently turned to low bar. I think that when I did my max on this technique i wrecked my techique and did put my nerves under waaay too luch pressure. I felt the most pain I ever felt in my life. And I had numbness on the last 3 fingers. I read that this was in french a nevralgie. Coule you do a video about that please 🙏🏽🙏🏽
i have that pain from pull ups and now i dont do then no more. Its 3 years gone and still have that pain mostly on left side... Its that grip when i have my ( palms up ) and that way i get pain the most when lifting weights if i do hammer curls its no problem.
hey, amazing videos as always. i wanted to ask, if you could do a video on the difference of patellar tendinopathy and quadriceps tendinopathy. would love some clearing up of different approaches in reha!
I play 60+ rounds of golf per year and a couple of years ago I developed golfers elbow which I naturally attributed to....golfing!!! After trying many different remedies (including the ones in this video) it just wasn't going away. Eventually I realized that the condition was being caused by a stapler I was using at work that I was continually hammering on as it was getting old and wasn't able to handle the paper load. I wasn't prepared to part with "my trusty old tool". Finally one day I got a new stapler that was super easy to use and could handle the volume of paper I was subjecting it to. A few weeks after I ditched the old stapler for the new and super easy one the golfers elbow went away. I was blown away that I didn't realize the load I was putting on my elbow from using the old stapler was exactly what was causing the condition, especially because I attributed it to the golfing. The point is, think outside the box when diagnosing the condition and try your best to address the cause rather than knee jerk treating the symptoms.
Awesome video! I have one question about the Ulnar Nerve and that is: Is there a way I can find out if the pain is coming from the nerve without an MRI? Thanks in advance ☺️
I have chronic medial elbow tendinopathy. Exercises haven’t made a difference and now I’m wondering if the plate in my wrist could be the cause of the problem. I broke my wrist about 10 years ago, both bones, and had a plate inserted to repair them. Would love to hear what you think.
Question! Should I do these excersices before or after my normal workout? Or it doesn´t matter? Are they good to use as warm up excersices? Great video, very informative.
My biggest question is what if my load tolerance is extremely low? I'm an 31 year old athlete that has been dealing with daily pain in this area. Even the smallest of loads can unexpectedly cause my pain to flare up. I've completely cut weights out of my routine but still seem to have pain in my elbow and forearms. Thoughts on how to progress? Thanks in advance.
How would you progres these exercises once you’re asymptomatic? Could these be replaced by something like chin ups eventually or would it always be a good idea to do these as maintenance?
Mine was too far gone to fix. Tried PT , rest, cortisone and a PRP injection. Nothing helped. Probably from years of labor/Army and then playing a tons of golf the last couple years. I’m having a tendon release with debridement done next week. Really hoping I get some relief and the recovery isn’t too bad. I’d like to be playing golf by August if possible. Wish me luck.
Every time I experience this issue it is immediately after or even during a cut. Makes sense since the body's ability to recover is lessened on a cut. I guess I need to be better about reducing volume while in a cutting phase.
An excellent overview of elbow tendinopathy rehab, with one exception, you don’t mention cross fibre massage across the point of pain. I originally got this from Bob and Brad although I can’t find the original video just now. Perform a firm but not more that 5-6/10 pain level stroke using your opposite hand thumb, across the point of pain for up to 30 seconds, say 10 strokes in total. If the pain increases over the session stop, it may be some other issue. The pain should decrease and this should be performed just once a day. After 2 weeks you will tend to forget to continue with this as the pain has gone and all the content of this video should be used to ensure the problem doesn’t reoccur. I had a problematic tendinopathy that kept twinging over a 6 month period but was resolved with the above procedure.
I believe this is the Bob and Brad video you're referring to: th-cam.com/video/MOw6UFelld0/w-d-xo.html Though they suggest 5 - 10 minutes a day or every other day.
I’m curious if you have any experience with using a flex bar for this? To date that has been the best thing I’ve done for the golfer & tennis elbow problem. I’m going to incorporate your recommendations as well.
Feel like people are shilling for this flexbar. Its super hard to do correctly, doesnt feel great, and is awkward as hell. Also takes way longer than regular wrist curls. Feel like its a fake internet hype. I stopped using mine after a week. Felt useless
I occasionally get twinges in that area doing pull ups. Looked up exercises that would help. Discovered exercises that I was already doing a LOT of. Took a minute or two for the light bulb to go off.
Should I incorporate forearm exercises from the start or wait until the pain gets better? I always feel like I'm aggravating my elbow when I'm loading it too much at work + with the exercises.
What do you call medial epicondyle pain that isn't in the forearm, but instead is in the biceps area, just above the epicondyleM? My pain isn't in the forearm muscles or tendons, it is in the tendon ABOVE the elbow, in the bicep.
That sounds like distal bic eps tendinosis. It is an overuse syndrome. Get it looked at by your doc and reduce your loads. My brother in law ignored the pain and ruptured his requiring surgery.
Hi, it's been 80 days since my anterior cruciate ligament repair and my foot still doesn't straighten normally without pressure. Is this a problem and will it cause trouble for me later?
Brother i have pain in my upper bump corner area. I seen several TH-cam video they were saying it’s osgood schlatter occer to teen adolescent. But I’m 29. While walking or walking upstairs isn’t hard but when i pressures it while running or walking down stairs. It’s mild inflammation. I wanna know it’s osgood or patellar tendinopathy.
The best source of evidence-based physical therapy education on TH-cam. Your work is absolutely amazing guys, thank you so much for putting this out for free ❤
Totally agree. The best
Very comprehensive and clear. Good job and thanks. I hope it works…
As an athlete that had to go through this 3 times, I can affirm that this video is gold. Thanks for your work man, this will help tons of people.
How did you recover ? Your experience may be golden.
Do you actually cured yourself of this and don’t experience pain anymore? I’ve been dealing with this on and off for about two years now…. Excellent. Best, most comprehensive video out there on this condition, and I’ve seen a lot of them.

Thanks for making this, its comprehensive and super helpful.
Your channel is the best channel for injuries on TH-cam, I gained a lot of knowledge and treated a lot of my injuries because of you, Thanks!
By far and away the best resource I have come across for rehabing my elbow issues.
Incredible information, concise and flawlessly delivered with excellent suggestions on treatment.
Yeah, great job to all those over there at E3 Rehab, a huge thank you to you all.
Great video and explanation of everything, fantastic will give these a try for sure 👍

Same here
He does mention a potential 3 month recovery time frame at the very end of the video.

as a climber, this is the best video for medial elbow tendinopathy, even having watched videos by climbers *lattice training*
Best video for Golfer's Elbow treatment & rehab I have ever wathed.
Best video that I’ve seen on this topic. Thanks!!!
Just want to point out that if you are taking boron...make sure you get enough B2... otherwise it can lead to tendon issues. Wish i knew this a little earlier.
this is excellent, comprehensive, and clearly explained. thank you!
Thank you for a thorough and scientific explanation and exercise routine! It's nice to hear that I can still do exercise while rehab.
great video as always. could you do a video on the use of ice for injuries?
Thanks for this, yup my golf swing has improved. I just don't want to stop playing. I did stop hitting a lot of balls on the range using my bore instead of my elbow.
incredible, This video is by far the BEST resource for understanding golfers elbow and what to do to fix it. subbed to your channel!

If you guys are open to suggestions, I suggest about Ulnar Nerve Entrapment and how it sometimes happen without any reason at all hehe
I play 60+ rounds of golf per year and a couple of years ago I developed golfers elbow which I naturally attributed to....golfing!!!

What to do when you cannot stop the activitie causing the golfer's elbow?
Awesome video! I have one question about the Ulnar Nerve and that is: Is there a way I can find out if the pain is coming from the nerve without an MRI?
Thanks in advance ☺️
Best video I've found yet on this subject
Thank you for the best TH-cam video on these subject.
Awesome video dude, really insightful!
How do you distinguish between medial elbow Tendinopathy and Ucl injury?
I have chronic medial elbow tendinopathy. Exercises haven’t made a difference and now I’m wondering if the plate in my wrist could be the cause of the problem. I broke my wrist about 10 years ago, both bones, and had a plate inserted to repair them. Would love to hear what you think.

Hows ur elbow m8?
Please do a video on cubital tunnel syndrome and exercises to address.
Perfect for an osteo student 🔥
Very nice information
That burger at 18:34 was worth a little tendonopathy.
What fixed mine was free hanging and increasing the duration over time
Thank you so much for sharing this video❤❤❤

My elbow hurts at the tendon above the forearm. Will this work for that
I occasionally get twinges in that area doing pull ups. Looked up exercises that would help. Discovered exercises that I was already doing a LOT of. Took a minute or two for the light bulb to go off.

How About Armwrestling injuries? please!
Excellent
Hey question, how long should i expect this (golfers elbow, mild that gets exacerbated only when i do hangs or pull ups or dips) to last?
Hi, it's been 80 days since my anterior cruciate ligament repair and my foot still doesn't straighten normally without pressure. Is this a problem and will it cause trouble for me later?
life saver thank you for this
How do you tackle hand pain?
Amazing amazing amazing thank you❤
i only have pain in that area with a flat open hand and pressing on or down on something?
Great work
Life changer!
Absolutelly superb
Healthy educational video
What if the trigger was due to carrying around a kid and kid items (carseats, bags, etc.) without much outlet to decrease the load demands?
Brother i have pain in my upper bump corner area. I seen several TH-cam video they were saying it’s osgood schlatter occer to teen adolescent. But I’m 29. While walking or walking upstairs isn’t hard but when i pressures it while running or walking down stairs. It’s mild inflammation. I wanna know it’s osgood or patellar tendinopathy.
how much times in week?
gofer on the track arms imitate on endurance..
i have this M25.52 pain in elbow. tendinopatia upper body musculus flexor carpi ulnaris left.....any ideas? thanks :)
Thanks!
