Hey doc. I've had pain for a year suffering from a pain that is on the back of my elbow. As in directly opposite. My PT said its cause of the Anconeus muscle. I don't know how to treat it. I'm at the point where even 5 kg bench press is tough & at night there's some constant irritation and burning issues. What could i do?

This is excellent advice. Thank you for the pro tips! This will help me a lot.
One thing worth mentioning is repetitive motion preventing healing. I gave myself golfers elbow and tennis elbow to both arms from overtraining while waiting for a grocery job at Trader Joe’s. I did not heal for three years because i was using my hands and arms so much every day at work. The pain was severe. Couldn’t hardly drive or open doors. It wasn’t until I quit that the healing started. Thank you again for the great tips. I love your channel. PS: massage gun was a game changer. Blood flow will heal you.

Good stuff. I've suffered from chronic golfer's elbow for over a couple decades. About 2 years ago a PT had me start doing a lot of chest/shoulder stretching work, mainly lying on a foam roll on my back and doing "snow angel" and "touchdown" type movements, basically stretching my chest/shoulders while trying to touch the floor with the "snow angels" and rotating my hand towards the floor with the "touchdown" movements. With both movements I'm squeezing my shoulder blades back and towards to roller to increase the stretch/range of motion. I was dubious that stretching my chest/shoulders was going to positively impact my elbow tendonitis but damn, much to my astonishment (and delight!) it works great! I now do those stretches after all my workouts and even at night after a long day sitting in front of my computer. I rarely have any elbow flare ups any more after being plagued by them for 20+ years. 😁 I'm definitely a case study for weaknesses/tightness in other areas causing elbow pain.

Wish you guys a speedy recovery !

I’m a calisthenics athlete dealing with golfers elbow for about 3 weeks. I was having some progress with my rehab but I hit a plateau and I wasn’t able to get back to doing pull-ups. I’m going to try adding in the scapular pull-up exercise. Thank you Aaron!

@@zackantwan6219 I’m back to doing pull ups and muscle ups now. There is still some pain to the touch and soreness after a session. My best advice is to massage it in the morning and stretch it throughout the day. Ice it before bed
