They do look great in White, deffo the best colour for all Type R's.
White is the official racing colour for Japan. Like silver is for Germany and British racing green is in the name. The more you know 🇩🇪🇯🇵🇬🇧
Not mugen splitter. That’s what’s called the GP pack. Quite an expensive dealer option and fairly rare.
One of the best looking type r’s in my opinion, however my personal favourite would be the FK2 looks so aggressive and mechanically it’s incredible
Agree I love my fk2 but I do still look at the fn2 as a better looking car
91 k ain't low? These engines can do 200k easy. My dad has a CRV with a k20 petrol engine - over 400 thousand miles.....90k? 09 plate, for a k20 it's just run in.

Even the non LSD version is arguably the best hot hatch you can buy for £4k to £5k in terms of the overall package (performance, reliability, and aftermarket support).
Lsd is great though 🥴
weight reduction makes a huge difference with these cars.
I Chucked out rear seats, spare tire, light weight 17 inch wheels, carbon hood, and full aftermarket exhaust and all that is roughly 90kg lighter !
All the later ones have LSD
It has the GP bodykit which was an option from the factory I believe. I've got a red FN2 and the white versions certainly look better.
I agree, I too have a Milano red type s with the gp kit wrapped in white with full type r interior and styling.
Everyone take cover, the EP3 boys won't like it that the FN2 was quicker in Calvin's test! Haha

I like both the ep3 and fn2 but the fn is certainly more suitable for daily driving as it has more space and is more comfortable.
Finally got my very own fn2 type R as my new daily and honestly... What a car it is, and I say that without even having pushed the car to its limits
Love my FN2. Its 11 years old this year. I've owned it 9 years and has been very reliable. Brilliant engine. Think it will be a future classic.
That's so kl that you've had it that long. I have a fn2 type s coming upto my first year. and yes I can agree that the engine is great, even when you challenge the engine, it always responds great. I couldn't find a low mileage type r so just went for a low mileage type s. I hope to have it for a very long time. Reliable and good looking cars!

Not long sold my Championship White.
With the FN2, if you put some good tyres, Eibach springs and a Marlin ECU on it, and you won't find a better Hot Hatch for the money.
Exactly what's on mine - lighter wheels, PS4 tyres, eibach springs and remapped with lower VTEC on ECUTEK. Its great for the money!

People harp on about Clarksons review of the car so much. At the same time the Magazine gave it hot hatch of the year.
The best Renaultsport Hot Hatches also never had independent rear suspension, and they do just fine 😅
I've actually owned one, gave me back ache after a short drive.
Was also a jittery ride. Its no way a worthy successor to a ep3 / type r brand

I had a 1 owner CW for 7 years. Number 234. Loved it. Had a GP kit on it for about 500 miles and removed it. Preferred standard look (still have the the GP kit in their boxes if anyone is interested)
I had Goodyears on mine and it would rarely spin. LSD is great.
There was 2000 worldwide. 600 for UK. The white plaque is numbered out of 2000 so there is some UK cars numbered 6xx.
Don't suppose you still have the GP kit do you 2 years later? lol
Love the civys! Fantastic cars! Ep3's look dope n clean👌🏻, although the FN2 looks a bit more bulkier but I reckon personal preference it's got a better dash! 😃

Had a crash and my i30N was written off and picked up an FN2 for 4k. Its so much fun to drive, nothing better than bouncing off the limiter and planting your foot down. Handles superbly too! Also, it's super, super reliable too. Worth a cheap pick up if you want to have fun but have reliability!
How much mileage did it have?

No dc2 integer b18 type R that's a fun car I miss mine
EP3 is definitely nicer than the FN2 but the EK9 would be the original Civic Type-R
I remember seeing the FN2 vs the EP3 in a drag race on top gear following the launch and due to the increased weight and lack of additional power, the EP3 was quicker 🤷🏻♂️ the FN2 looks cool IMO but I’d rather the EP3.
It's just refine compared to the ep3.
Ep3 all the way and it has independent suspension.
That is my opinion.

The FN2 was faster around the Top Gear track than the EP3 and there was never a drag race on Top Gear, only a negative review from Jeremy Clarkson even though Top Gear rated it the best hot hatch the year it came out. Also they're pretty much neck and neck in acceleration, the FN2 has a better gearbox with shorter ratios. The EP3 is more nimble and raw buts its not more planted, although the K20A in the EP3 responds better than the K20Z4 to mods due to the exhaust layout and the FN2s oil pump.
Fn2 was quicker around the too gear test track. It's a far better car than an ep3 and doesn't look like a breadvan
Fn2 is only 80kg heavier than ep3. Most of that can easily be shaved by some weight reduction.
Love the Civics Type R
Park the premier edition and the white edition up tuck them away calv both rare examples and both already massively loved in the car world there values are both rising an I think with them being special editions these could be a good investment in the not too distant future
I did prefer my FN2 over the EP3 had a EP3 stock and a EP3 track car weapon. But yeah my mugen fn2 tuned up I loved it one of the best car I’ve ever owned along with the Astra vxr

I love the rear spoiler on mine especially at night when someone is up your arse because the spoiler blocks out the headlights 👌🏻

EP3 was the classic hot hatch - hum drum hatchback with a screaming engine. This FN2 by Honda moved up into a slightly bigger class

Like the fn2 but you feel the weight when braking drove my ep3 and the old man's fn2 back to back same road rather the ep3. fn2 was so stiff aswell no need for it to be like that might only be 80 odd kg but you can feel it

Thing is my mate has had two ep3 a and ranted about them. Then one day I let him at my FN2 and suddenly went and sold his ep3 and got a FN2. I think the biggest thing here is many ep3 fanatics haven’t driven the FN2

i had one of these for 8 years, I wanted to drive it till it died but after 150k miles and only replaced shocks, springs and clutch it just refused to give up so ended up selling it! Such a reliable car, never failed an MOT or broke down once in my whole ownership

Calvin it’s 2022 now , 91k miles is low for 14 years, average is 142k miles .
Tried getting a valuation on the car buying shop it gives me a valuation .but when I book an appointment .it won't give me any options or go any further.
Got an Fn2 myself had its year’s brilliant car with loads of affordable mods - don’t take much to get more drive ability out them - you should show it some love calv

Mugen m200 not that rare. It's the M20 that's very very rare. Last one I saw was selling for around 60k.
I know a doctor that got one 2.2 Mugen but i like the ep3 even though alot got smashed lmao. The Mugen is sh!t off a shovel. Im into older stuff datsun 260z my cup of tea.
