@thandomthembu4913 hey man. So I bought mine with 170000kms, it's now on 210000kms. What can I say, its been a great 40000kms over the last 2 years. I travel quite abit for work. When the car hit 190000kms I needed new shocks and clutch as the standard ones were flogged, so I upgraded to coilovers which most of us will do anyway. At 200000kms the bushings gave out, replaced with nolathane bushes (some people will upgrade to these anyway) and just recently did upper pulley and alternator at 210000kms. All in all, you'll have trouble free driving up till 200000kms and the rest is just abit of care and love. I flog the car most times hitting redline, track days, hill runs you name it and it comes back for more. The engines are stout you can count on that. Just do regular servicing, good synthetic oil, top it up as needed, will burn abit from time to time with very hard driving, be kind and let it warm up before a flogging and she will look after you.
Thank you very much for the info. I have already saved up money for it. Just waiting to find a clean example now. The tune (hondata or any other one) won't affect the car negatively? If you drive normally, what consumption should one expect in the city and highway?
@thandomthembu4913 a tune will improve your driving experience. Be aware that most tuners will tune the car on pump 98 (if you're in aus) so expect to pay more for the fuel. You'll make more power in the mid range where it needs it and brings the car to life, you won't have to wait till 5900rpm to get the car really moving as vtec engagement will be lowered to 4000rpm. Expect to see around 450kms to a 50L tank with a heavy foot in city traffic and 500km plus on highway driving. I'd say a fair exchange of approx 10-12L per 100kms (better mileage if you don't hit vtec of course)

I’ve got the 2008, 4 door 1.8 liter vtec sport as a daily driver for more than 11 years with now almost 300.000 km on the clock. Such a clever designed car, had some little things here and there but no big serious issues. Give it some love and care and they keep on going for a lifetime.

6 Years of ownership on my FN2 (4.5 years at stock) and so far 0 problems minus a battery change and tires! Added a cold air intake, remap and exhaust and it's truly a different car. Can't recommend them enough.
Lol sounds like a dream , I'm 2 month into ownership and mines needed a driveshaft , clutch and a timing chain lol. Only just finished bedding the clutch in gently but I do love her so far
I bought mine fn2 12 years ago, still 0 issues i change 1 battery brake pads front/rear and just normal service every second year. But i change oil every 5000-8000km.
Love how everyone says “the worst” as if it’s awful it’s still a bloody good type r and a better car than most on the market even today to be fair. If anything under valued.
Hi all, had a 2020 fk8 Civic type R update model 18:38 for a year. Last model to be built at Swindon, tight with no rattles, best built car I have ever owned. Brilliant drive but the ride after recovering from cancer treatment was too much. Miss that car. Cheers.
The Guy Ritchie film skit was so perfect I want to cry. And the backing track behind it even sounds like the intro music to snatch! Bonus points for reviewing my favourite car too, keep up the good work legends! Have watched every video so far.
I’ve had my 2010 R Car for 6 years and still love it. Planned on it becoming a future classic along with my old 1977 Holden. You never know it’s true fun factor until you take it somewhere like Kangaroo Valley NSW and keep it in the Vtec zone where it’s at its happiest. The only negatives I can say is a firm ride (which I’m now used to) and the digital radio display soldering issues which I am yet to repair. A true drivers car like the MX5 but not for everyone.
Great video! I really looked into getting that type R before finally getting my Kia Proceed. As mentioned in the video, these Type Rs were undervalued before covid. The problem is that Honda is too old / too high kays, hard to find unmolested examples, and have to rev the balls off it to overtake. Proceed has 80% peak torque from 1500rpm, which is all the difference in a daily driver. I had an EK civic SOHC 5MT before, and that's the only thing I didn't like about it, no torque, so in daily drive you're at mercy of traffic. Proceed feels like a V6 torque wise compared to it. Still love the look and engine note of that Type R though Ps Adam, still have the STI if you want to review it, mileage is still low 😆
@@filopride619 I bought old beat up type r for 6500 then put 50000 trouble free kms and sold it for 9k with the lockdown prices. Then regretted my decision and bought a nice clean one.
I’ve abused the shit out of mine, and it’s missing about 25,000kms of service history but it hasn’t skipped a beat now sitting at 180,XXXkms. Handles 500+km road trips with ease, fires up first time every time, loves to live in VTEC territory, and the gearbox is still as smooth as butter. It’s truly a great car, glad to have it in my possession before the prices went ballistic. Gonna see how high I can push that odometer before that K20 gives up
Great review! Awesome to actually cover how easy it is for the back passenger to get in and out, and good to know how it works and roomy it is. Barely or I didn't see any reviews showing this. Awesome and keep it up mate!
This is still a stunning design! Both 3 and 5 door hatch’s of the Gen 8. Test drove one when it was first released, beautiful gear change! , but sat at 3600 RPM at 100km/h (in 6th gear). So kept my 350z at the time. Great review !
The FN2 is a great car , i got one as daily since a few years now ( 160 000 km ) and i love it But i had to modify it, i bought all the parts and asked a experienced mechanic to install them. But i kept all the stock parts. I change the oil every 7000 - 8000 km -The stock brakes were a bit weak in my opinion so i bought a BBk yellowspeed racing 6 pots calipers for the front and some stoptech discs and ferodo performance pads for the rear. the BBk wasn't really worth the price -An invidia catback exhaust for the sound and it's great - Some KW v1 coilovers, stainless steel so no corrosion and they are amazing on the twisty roads here. - Oz racing wheels 18" with some michelin PS4 for summer and the stocks wheels for winter - Full powerflex kit ( just an amazing mod ) - a double din inside , i did not like the stock radio - and a mugen wing for the exterior wich is the only mod i wanted to comlplete the look of the car - New clutch is coming soon with a light flywheel exedy stage 1 - engine is stock and will stay as it is , i need this car to go to work so i take care of it ( and i never reached the rev limiter ) i really love this car, every time i open the garage door i smile looking at it. just buy one if you can, it is reallyu worth it.
I'd get one of these over a Kia. The engine has far more soul than any Kia and I love having to rev a car out; not much beats a Honda for that. Having said that, both of the ones I've driven (both when they were only a couple of years old) had extremely firm (to the point of being uncomfortable) suspension. Perhaps they'd had coilovers fitted already.
I have had 2009 regular Type R and currently have 2010 Championship white edition Type R. Both cars were/are stock and the difference in ride quality was noticable. Championship white edition was more comfortable and less crashy. I wonder if there is actually some kind of difference in suspenison setting or something. Cant' find anything official about suspension differences tho so who knows.
I have a 2008 with 100k and a full service history, in beautiful condition and bought it for £3.5k. I'm 46 and have had my fair share of sporty cars but this little hot hatch makes me smile every time I drive it.
Yeah, the K24 solves the torque problem :) Which is why I love my Accord. And people are anti-social in traffic already, bit of exhaust noise wont be noticed. I did put a 4-2-1 header and a catback on it, but kept the kat and mufflers. That's the only mod I did.
Used uk prices are starting from 2k now private sellers, bought a stock clean 2009 2 owner 160k mile one from a dealer for sub 3k a month ago and loving it.

I've owned one for the last five years and it's a great car. One thing you didn't cover is how they rot underneath. I've just had a new rear axle fitted and some rusting sorted. All good now, but worth checking underneath before buying. I will be selling my 'unmolested' FN2 soon which is a shame as i have back issues.
My wife has an FN civic, but hers is the 1.8 si. Dispite being abused by her and maintained on a shoe string it has remained 100% reliable. Currently sitting at 140,000 miles and it keeps going! She keeps talking about getting another car but really theres no point because its pretty worthless as it is and has never let her down.
Thanks for this one guys! I wish that this would be my next Honda (or CL9 Type S). I've driven one for a short time a few years ago and I enjoyed it. Cheers!
Not the car I was expecting for today's review but it's in the same category lol. This review has definitely given me things to consider for if/when I eventually go to pick a new car. The safety features overview was les Guy Ritchie more parody East End gangster but still gave me a chuckle lol. You should do on of the safety features overviews as Cartman from South Park. Good work as always guys and definitely looking forward to what you've got in store for next week's batch of videos. Have a safe weekend guys and good work on today's video as always 👍.
The concept with FN2s is simple - they're an EP3 you can daily drive. Cruise control, good A/C, decent seats, huge boot, good drive and reasonable to service...and the fun of VTEC. Team them with a good shifter (Hybrid Racing), cable bushes and detent springs and the shift is also pretty bombproof too. Also, the re: the whole Swindon thing...the EP3s were built in Swindon too, and that includes the JDM ones for both models (JDM EP3 and JDM FN2 Civic Type R Euro).
Great video again! Simply love a hot hatch. They will always be one of the best vehicle-types you can buy!a jack of all trades. If you don’t like a hot-hatch, you don’t like cars, end of… Never really knew how I felt about this gen of Type-R, but this video has given me much more respect for it - well done.👍I still see a fair bit of them on the road. They do still look great, sharp and fairly modern, which is a testament to great design, aging very well. Most surprising of the whole review was definitely the levels of practicality, who woulda thought huh?! Great stuff all round👍
I really enjoyed this review, but just to be clear: The FN2 has a torsion beam, and not a torsion bar rear axle like a Peugeot 205, megane RS etc. - huge difference! It's a cost cutting measure, and unlike a torsion bar rear suspension, the wheels aren't suspended independent. I really want a Space ship civic non the less :)
The FN2 has a twist beam rear suspension, it's the same setup as on the Megane/Clio RS etc. :) You should get one if you can, they're a great all around car and very rewarding to drive!
I do like these but they feel a little heavy and detached from the driving experience therefore the lack of torque is very apparent and they feel slower than they are. The EP3 Tyoe R is far superior in performance and handling. The FN2 easier to live with
Ironically the so called worst Type R is still actually a VERY Good Car. It's not quite as nimble in stock form as the EP3 but comparing them for day to day (non track use) the FN2 starts to look a little better and budget friendly.
Yep, many reviews actually praise this car to be practical hot hatch to daily. EP3 is great as a track car, but not really as refined and thats okay. Even FN2 still have potential for mods anyways if anybody wants it to be a track car.
Seriously under-rated, mine has nearly 200k of heavy hard driving, its aged super well and has been cares for properly. The interior has aged super well and it's such a nice place to sit in and surprisingly spacious, I've had it 5yrs and it's a pleasure to drive every day. Check the oil as often as you check your balls, service it regularly, I promise it will last forever.
Had mine for a year, absolutely love it. I bought it to get something fun but still reliable after very unreliable old bmw ownership, and it’s not missed a beat. A map lowering vtec to 4K makes the power much more usable and wakes the car up a bit! The seats are high cos they’re right above the fuel tank which I believe was to improve storage in the boot and so the back seats can fold right down, so you can’t really lower it any further. But the steering, gear changes and pedal set up are so nice that it still feels really sporty. I think it gets a lot more criticism than it deserves, and usually only from people who haven’t driven one (me included before I drove one). It’s a great car and the last of the screaming NA type Rs. Edit: mine is a 2011 LSD model, so the cornering is amazing, really pulls you in, so I can’t speak for non LSD models. I can imagine no LSD would be more understeer prone.
I've been WAITING for this one😂🔥 I'm so interested in getting one some day. Other than a GTi. I think it's a Perfect and affordable Hot Hatch to buy🔥 that looks absolutely insane in the Process🔥😂
This is what I've got right now, with 150k miles, and it's driving beautifully. Really fun car to drive on a daily basis. Very comfortable and practical. The Milano Red peeling painting is the only thing I would complain about. Definitely recommend 👍
No mention of water leaks? If you're looking to buy one, have a look in the "hidden" compartment under the boot floor. If nobody's already fixed it, it WILL be wet in there. It's not "difficult" to fix but it's a pretty big job because there's a lot of potential sources for leaks and you need to remove a lot of trim to get to the places that leak. Fortunately, because it's such a common problem, there's a heap of video's on YT explaining what to look for and how to fix it.
I test drove one of these at a dealership when I was in the market for a fun little weekender. I'd have probably bought it if I didn't end up finding the Dc5 Integra Type S that now lives under my car port. If I was looking for a car I had to daily drive, I definitely would have bought the fn2 though. The fn2 feels more like a K swapped Golf GTI when you compare it to a DC5 or even its direct predecessor, the EP3. That's not exactly a bad thing, but people aren't buying a Type R to have all these extra features that just add weight and ultimately diminish the raw driving experience they became renown for.
I've seen a number of EP3's that have gone off road. The car has great handling but can very easily catch you out, fun to drive though. I found the FN2 suspension to be less harsh than the EP3 on poor roads
I've owned both ep3r and fn2r, the ep3r had liftoff oversteer characteristics and bad steering geometry which led to alot of torque steer, where as the fn2 tracks straight while accelerating and a more stable rear end when coming off throttle.
Id buy the cl9 accord euro over this. Its a way better daily and has just as much tuning potential but will have the better low/mid range touque that the K20 is missing.
you're sitting up high because the fuel tanks under the seat... and yeah, there's no lowering brackets for them, hence why I never felt comfortable in mine before i sold it
one common problem with the interior is the radio/aircon screen having the symbols blanking out... this is because the solder on the pins on the board inside are weak and fail, I've had to re-solder half a dozen of these because they all fail...
Love your stuff mate. Subscribed. What are your thoughts on a clio rs 3rd phase compared to the fn2? It also has 200hp, but it's more compact and lighter. I'm currently looking for one of these two.
I owned one in the United States for about a year and a half. It was perfect reliability wise but the lack of torque and the constant shifting got to be annoying in stop and go inter city traffic. The final straw was a cross country trip with the engine spinning along at 4, 000 to 4,500 RPM trying to keep pace with interstate traffic. It got tiring pretty quickly.
@@tigoid I work for family owned component manufacturer and yes you can own so called "FORBIDDEN FRUIT" in the United States as long as it is for "RESEARCH" purposes and the vehicle can't be resold. I was looking for one of these and drove a few of them. But ended up with a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST that had half of the KMs most of the fn2r's for similar prices had and it was a 1 owner car.
Civic over proceed gt. Not that the proceed gt is a bad car but they are really rare and getting parts for them is going to be harder. Plus the type r would be more enjoyable in a twisty country road due to the front differential. And honesty the nostalgia factor and love of VTEC helps the civic win.
Just sold mine, Alot of car for the money, however as a daily the ride is just horrendous coupled with the noise in 6th gear cruising, it's just ridiculous. Went for a z4 e89 after and it's alot nicer place to be despite being a "sports car". The civic is a fun b road basher though if that's what you're after.
not sure what this body kit hes going on about? maybe the fugen wing? if that is the case - i'm guilty! but this is the most reliable car i've ever owned i kinda want to get a Megane RS 265 but unsure if i'll be buying something that might implode on me
Why do reviews always complain about the load lip? Try a long trip with a full boot in a car without a load lip, you end up juggling all your stuff as it comes tumbling out
Great video, and a great car - I think it's unfairly derided as not living up to the predecessors. While it may be true the EK / DC2 Integra were some legendary cars, and the EP & DC5 in their own right, there's nothing wrong with this being a bit softer - they're still very special compared to 95% of other appliances on the road, and more usable every day than the earlier models. Great stuff, although personally having driven both I would probably pick a Megane 3 RS if I was buying a car in this class.
Could a new turbo Suzuki Swift Sport with it's 4,200RPM redline keep up with one of these with it's 9,000RPM redline on a tight track? Wouldn't be surprised to learn it could.
I sold drugs in one of these. My mate owned it and I borrowed it sometimes. Sounds great, shifts great, handles great, looks weird. Like driving a HotWheels car as an adult.
Hey, I recently got an fn2. Wanted to ask, which cold air intake and exhaust do you have, and are they road legal? Cheers!
I bought mine fn2 12 years ago, still 0 issues i change 1 battery brake pads front/rear and just normal service every second year. But i change oil every 5000-8000km.
So good with a intake I had a skunk2 on mine
Love how everyone says “the worst” as if it’s awful it’s still a bloody good type r and a better car than most on the market even today to be fair. If anything under valued.
It's just unlucky of being the "worst" in a series of amazing car. If you compare it to competition it's still part of an amazing line of cars.
Still futuristic looking after all these years
Seen this comment on a lot of videos
I buy this car in 2008 NEW. Today I still have my car . It is the best car in this world.
Great channel! So hard to find an Aussie channel that does reviews.
Aussie rhetoric and the Foo Fighters metaphor...? I'm subbed!
Ive owned the dc5, ep3 and fn2, this by far was my favourite to drive out of the 3
Interesting
4:22 That K20 sounds so nice
Still love the look and engine note of that Type R though
Ps Adam, still have the STI if you want to review it, mileage is still low 😆
Oh my goodness, I sold my FN2 right before the height of the lockdowns. Lost so much potential profit... 🤧
Gonna see how high I can push that odometer before that K20 gives up
Its a Honda, they dont die easy
I love the Honda Integra DC5 Type R and FD2 Civic, yet it’s amazing how great the supposed “worst” is as a daily family driver
The type R hold their value compared to ANY Kia proceed or otherwise.
I wish the 350z revved like a type r, the power delivery is so smooth you don't get any sense of acceleration from them.
The FN2 is a great car , i got one as daily since a few years now ( 160 000 km ) and i love it
But i had to modify it, i bought all the parts and asked a experienced mechanic to install them. But i kept all the stock parts.
I change the oil every 7000 - 8000 km
-The stock brakes were a bit weak in my opinion so i bought a BBk yellowspeed racing 6 pots calipers for the front and some stoptech discs and ferodo performance pads for the rear. the BBk wasn't really worth the price
-An invidia catback exhaust for the sound and it's great
- Some KW v1 coilovers, stainless steel so no corrosion and they are amazing on the twisty roads here.
- Oz racing wheels 18" with some michelin PS4 for summer and the stocks wheels for winter
- Full powerflex kit ( just an amazing mod )
- a double din inside , i did not like the stock radio
- and a mugen wing for the exterior wich is the only mod i wanted to comlplete the look of the car
- New clutch is coming soon with a light flywheel exedy stage 1
- engine is stock and will stay as it is , i need this car to go to work so i take care of it ( and i never reached the rev limiter )
i really love this car, every time i open the garage door i smile looking at it. just buy one if you can, it is reallyu worth it.
Loved the video. Damn you I've been lurking on these and now I want one even more.
Have had a 09 fn2 for 4 years now. Its still an absolute blast to drive
That Jeremy Clarkson Top Gear review really did this car a number.
(It's really not that bad, -- former FN2R owner).
These mk8 civics are known for having a ride stiffer than a corpse on viagra. Even the non Type R models.
@@peter7582 I've driven and been in a few non-Type R examples and the ride was great.
@@skilgour44 Perhaps the road quality where I live just sucks lol. It's not a bone breaker but you really can feel everything on the road surface
I bought one earlier in the year and absolutely love it
I have a 2008 with 100k and a full service history, in beautiful condition and bought it for £3.5k. I'm 46 and have had my fair share of sporty cars but this little hot hatch makes me smile every time I drive it.
You guys HAVE to do a safety tech mash up video of all your reviews to date, pure gold.
8000k though 😂
@@yukonstriker1703 7600 with a reflash on the k24
Used uk prices are starting from 2k now private sellers, bought a stock clean 2009 2 owner 160k mile one from a dealer for sub 3k a month ago and loving it.
I love how these look! Just like a spaceship and they even made the interieur the same! It's so awesome :)
Keep up the great content! Would love to see you guys review either:
Volvo S60 T6 or even the Polestar! (2013-2015)
BMW 340i/440i
BMW M235i/M240i
Audi A6 (3.0 Supercharged or Bi-turbo diesel) C7
Audi S4 B8
All of them are looking like performance bargains as they age, would love to see how good they really are
4:24. Wow! That actually sounds awesome!
I have one the issues i have are as follows.
Rev counter lights not working intermittent fault simple fix
Auto wipers lose resting position also a home fix
3rd gear synchro is an issue not user fault (current sympathetic owner anywayl.
Cam cover oil leak.
All these issues irrelevent when i drive it steering precise like a go kart
Engine revs for days when wanted and car imo looks spot on love it. Buy one
That voiceover is fire 👌🏼
Thanks for this one guys! I wish that this would be my next Honda (or CL9 Type S). I've driven one for a short time a few years ago and I enjoyed it. Cheers!
CL9 with a reflash is so nice
If you don’t like a hot-hatch, you don’t like cars, end of…
Never really knew how I felt about this gen of Type-R, but this video has given me much more respect for it - well done.👍I still see a fair bit of them on the road. They do still look great, sharp and fairly modern, which is a testament to great design, aging very well.
Most surprising of the whole review was definitely the levels of practicality, who woulda thought huh?!
Great stuff all round👍
Mine is my daily driver, never had any issues with it.
It's a space saving measure lifted from the Jazz/ Fit.
After watching your vid Just bought one. And love it so far. And got a CRV 2005 as well :)😊
Swindon represent :) 😀
I do like these but they feel a little heavy and detached from the driving experience therefore the lack of torque is very apparent and they feel slower than they are. The EP3 Tyoe R is far superior in performance and handling. The FN2 easier to live with
Almost bought one in 2021 but couldnt believe how much wear and tear they have. Maybe later as a 2nd car
I don't think it's necessary to check the oil 5 times a day
The car looks like a spaceship.
Sitting in the back seat feels comforting and cosy, like you're sitting in a space pod. 🚀
I would have loved to seen those seats put in the FL5 ... they look fantastic.
Type R has the name and the history but I would go for the Pro_ceed because its much better value
The Fn2 is a massively underated vehicle and imo is ageing very well
This is what I've got right now, with 150k miles, and it's driving beautifully. Really fun car to drive on a daily basis. Very comfortable and practical. The Milano Red peeling painting is the only thing I would complain about. Definitely recommend 👍
Peeling paint seems to be a Honda thing unfortunately, my 2012 9th gen has that issue around the windshield corners
Great review. Type R all the way. This is a great example. Props to the owner.
Fortunately, because it's such a common problem, there's a heap of video's on YT explaining what to look for and how to fix it.
there is a drivability remap that moves a load of torque into the midrange
I test drove one of these at a dealership when I was in the market for a fun little weekender. I'd have probably bought it if I didn't end up finding the Dc5 Integra Type S that now lives under my car port. If I was looking for a car I had to daily drive, I definitely would have bought the fn2 though. The fn2 feels more like a K swapped Golf GTI when you compare it to a DC5 or even its direct predecessor, the EP3. That's not exactly a bad thing, but people aren't buying a Type R to have all these extra features that just add weight and ultimately diminish the raw driving experience they became renown for.
Integra type s? Were the RSX called integras in other parts of the world?
I sold mine and I loved it but the mpg was shockingly bad for the power and the ride was far to firm even with aftermarket springs.
White FN2 is just delicious! Almost as good as Alpine white
Owner of FN2 n love driving every minute.
Love your stuff mate. Subscribed. What are your thoughts on a clio rs 3rd phase compared to the fn2? It also has 200hp, but it's more compact and lighter. I'm currently looking for one of these two.
Had one some years ago - loved it, but it drank more petrol than my Mercedes C350 v6
People underestimate just how practical this Type R compared to all its siblings.
You had one in the US? These weren't sold there and aren't allowed for import either so I'm not sure how you had one
@@tigoid I work for family owned component manufacturer and yes you can own so called "FORBIDDEN FRUIT" in the United States as long as it is for "RESEARCH" purposes and the vehicle can't be resold.
If you are registered with the government as a exporter and can prove that components that you manufacture are installed on a vehicle you can import one
It either has to be re-exported or crashed after a certain amount of time.
Does that answer your question?
@@williamegler8771 oh I see, I thought you were allowed to do that but it wasn't registerable or allowed on the road
@@tigoid You can.register them and you them drive them on the road easily.
The only thing you have to make sure of is the registration clearly states "TESTING PURPOSES".and that you have valid insurance.
Almost every vehicle and component manufacturer has testing facilities in North America and vehicles not available in the United States are driven on public roads for testing purposes all the time.
@@williamegler8771 ah that's good to know, I remember hearing about cars that get crushed due to not meeting the requirements for import so I was a little confused.
Adding wings.......mugen civic enters the chat, they look way better with the mugen wing added.
100% i agree 👌
Yeessss!!!! another great, detailed vids for me to watch. I got a cx7 in canberra if ya wanna come down and review it. Kp up the good work!👍👍👍👍👌👌😎😎😎😎
Gotta love an fn2 type r such good cars and more popular now in uk and can get some good bargains but yeah some bad ones too that haven’t been looked after
good sporty car but will take your word. doing good.
The mugen wing on this is very aesthetic tho
Fantastic video, i had one of these in the uk for nearly 5 years. I love your opinion on the car, i share a lot of the same opinion.
Nice, but base 10th Gen LX Sedan with some basic track upgrade is more capable.
They are not 'MADE' in Swindon. It's a Car 'ASSEMBLY' plant. They 'ASSEMBLE' the cars from Imported Parts.
MAKING is not the same ass ASSEMBLING is it?
Think about it..
I own one, also CW ( 2011 ) - The Best Car Ever!
The Honda Accord Euro R CL7 to the world!!! Best ever chasis made for the K series motor. Especially since it has the best K series motor of all time. The K20A. Praise it you ppl!!! 🙌🙏
The mugen wing makes this car unlike the new fk2 etc which is ott.
Love these cars they have a massive cult following back in South Africa
It's a great car,I have the 2009 model .
I was looking for one of these and drove a few of them. But ended up with a 2015 Ford Fiesta ST that had half of the KMs most of the fn2r's for similar prices had and it was a 1 owner car.
how have you found the reliability ?
Civic over proceed gt.
Not that the proceed gt is a bad car but they are really rare and getting parts for them is going to be harder. Plus the type r would be more enjoyable in a twisty country road due to the front differential. And honesty the nostalgia factor and love of VTEC helps the civic win.
please do the early 2010s Honda Insight
Just sold mine, Alot of car for the money, however as a daily the ride is just horrendous coupled with the noise in 6th gear cruising, it's just ridiculous. Went for a z4 e89 after and it's alot nicer place to be despite being a "sports car". The civic is a fun b road basher though if that's what you're after.
They are super fun to drive would totally buy another one
Not as raw as the ep3 one of the best cars ever
But fn2 great car
not sure what this body kit hes going on about? maybe the fugen wing? if that is the case - i'm guilty! but this is the most reliable car i've ever owned i kinda want to get a Megane RS 265 but unsure if i'll be buying something that might implode on me
Why do reviews always complain about the load lip? Try a long trip with a full boot in a car without a load lip, you end up juggling all your stuff as it comes tumbling out
Hey, any chance you could review a 90 series prado?
Super comfortable seats, super low though and being 6'4" this car was annoying to get into. Max seat adjust to the rear. Fuel efficient.
Feels like driving a go cart 24/7. pros and cons to this.
Pro: mad
Con: not ideal for when you need to drive sensibly but your car keeps asking you to flog it a little bit
Please review a FD2 Type R in a future video.
Have you done a vid about the Hyundai i30 yet and what the best one to get?
I'd still buy v6 RAV4. Over 200kw stock, more practicallity, and does offroad.
