I agree! Y’all should check out the extreme “rock bouncers” they make and film over on the Busted Knuckle YT channel. Not saying you need to go that extreme, but bigger tires and longer shock (more travel)would make a huge difference in how that buggy handles and it could smooth out the ride (somewhat).
2 per if sized right and on an actual manifold will work. 1 sized right on an actual manifold would even work. But 2 on that rigged up mess definitely ain't what it needs.
Thanks for putting out these videos I’ve been watching these thru my chemo and my little run in with pneumonia I’m going thru currently… you guys are the reason I built my CT70 love you guys
Glad the old cross cart is still kicking butt. On a side note...something small that i miss from the old vids is the trips to town. Always loved the way you guys edited it. Cheers and happy Monday
I've been watching your channel for a when now, you guys deserve to have so many more sponsors . The entertainment factor is great. And the dynamic between john and Issac is a perfect duo . If you guys ever make it out to Ohio hollar at me I have some toys I would donate to the channel. Issac is a mechanical genius .
these vintage engines work really well with Rotella 15/40 non synthetic oil. I use this oil in mostly SOHC 750 engines, and many XS650 Yamaha engines. Car type synthetic oil and oil with a friction modifier additive is what you want to stay away from. I wished I lived close to you guys I would drop by with a box of jets and tune some real power into that thing. :) Great work men this is some real enjoyable content.
After the crap day I've had I was happy to see I'd missed yesterdays episode, just what I needed!! Can't wait to see how it does when you guys get it all lined out! 🤘
It would be awesome on a paved road course. You guys definitely need to smooth out some bumps on the trail. Back bones don't last forever. I'd rent a road grader and just level it out all the way around.
Some bigger knobby tires would help it out. Skid plate for the engine would protect it. It may help to totally re do the suspension. Longer arms more travel taller tires. It's got the power. Just needs more tire and suspension in my opinion. Love the channel love this build. Thanks guys.
@@R1Flem last time I checked you ride a bicycle not drive, and also I have been subscribed to this channel for years and John drives fine and has lots of experience on Go-Karts and mini bikes.
@@CarsandCameras how is it possibly more comfortable it is incredibly awkward to watch. What would you do if you had a right hand drive car. Also you can tell Ike shifts are quicker because he uses the hand that's next to the shifter. Now that I've said it it doesn't annoy me as much. Keep up the good work fellas!
I dont know if you guys actually know this but fun fact, in percussion in particular percussive (drumming specialized) pieces, a brake drum is actually used as a brake drum. Sometimes we even will file it and sand it down to work on particular frequency responses.
Ok to the viewers giving the thumb down , can any of you build a kart like this , like these guys did , probably not ! Anyway ... Love. The Channel guys , ya all build , fix , correct and let them rip ! Great channel !! Guys maybe bigger tires ? And some grease lol.....
I ran Castrol 20-50 in my 82 CB 750 Custom!! NGK plugs! That oil was one that wouldn't breakdown in higher revs! I don't remember what oil I put and it would breakdown like skipping when revs were high
I cant wait to see the 670cc go kart! its going to be so cool and its especially exited because my sled has a 670 under the hood and it does 75 mph in 5 seconds lmao
I really enjoy this resurrection but I want to make sure I got it right and haven’t missed anything. John took the cross cart over the course and hit a rock and busted a hole in the pan. So you took the engine out put another engine in just like it didn’t put a skid pad underneath and now you’re going over the same course. I just hope I missed the episode where you put a skid pad underneath that aluminum crank case.
@Cars$Cams. Sounds like there is a small bolt or a nut maybe a piece of valve sitting on top of a piston. There is some kind of loose small metal bouncing around in your engine somewhere.
yeah thats not a bad idea. some big pins through a flange that mates two pipes together in front to close it. wouldnt be that hard to engineer, unless theyre relying on the upper bars for overall frame strength
Izac was complaining that the cart did not like to turn, the front wheels are so out of caster and camber that the wheels are laying on the ground when you turn. They can only get traction one wheel at a time.
The Cross Kart needs much taller tires to make it more off-road worthy. And and engine skid plate. :)
Definitely on the skid plate- we’re not sure the front suspension can handle bigger tires. Only one way to find out
@@CarsandCameras it'll be fine

@@CarsandCameras that's what oil pans are for, right?

Cross kart is BACK! We're putting it up against the Trophy Kart later this week!
Crosscart would play win B/c Of Weight And Control
Can’t wait 😜
That should be fun 🔥👍✌️
That'll be awesome!
And Keep Up the good work
Anyone else remember when John said it looks like it skipped leg day
Carbs, always the carbs, needs one per cylinder as much as a pain to tune them can be... :P
2 per if sized right and on an actual manifold will work. 1 sized right on an actual manifold would even work. But 2 on that rigged up mess definitely ain't what it needs.
I would 100% agree, BUT they had the old engine running perfectly on the exact same fuel system.
@@Lysdexis 4 Is always better than 2 for airflow, less restriction from the manifold ;)
@@tebibyte2357 Who said air flow here is an issue?
Ike: It wasn't running bad with the other engine... So... The only thing, that's different is, well, the engine.
I'm dead...😂
Made my day 100x better, hope you're all well

More trips to town! Noted.
MAN, it is GOOD to see the Cross Kart slinging DUST rather than MUD. Welcome back to better track conditions.
I love how ike always tells jon to take it easy, then goes all out himself!
Well thats cuz jokn has a habit of wrecking things and ike would like to make a pass while it aint broke!

I would guess that the center two cylinders are getting the lionshare of the fuel because of that intake setup.
I love how John just pushes it without trying to clear it up...
All i learned from this video is that a bigger shop is getting built…. Excitement level 100
HECK YEAH!!! Love the cross cart!
It would be a good idea to put some sort of protection plate in for the oil pan.
Glad to see this back you guys really should go back to the stock carb setup and this thing will roar.
When I watch this show I feel like I’m hanging with friends! Keep it up guys!! Love y’all’s channel!
I'm happy its back up and running

CB750! Now time to get the honduki rocking!
A removable skid plate under your engine is probably a good investment guys.
Yes finally back up and going, that’s great to hear….let her eat 👍👍😁
I love the look of total terror in John's eyes at 13:12.
Always loved this build! Reminds me of an x wing fighter!!!

This Old Man has faith y'all will get it done. Waiting now for the next video. Love you guys. 🛵💝💝
Just a suggestion here. Rebuild and put the FOUR carbs back on it and it will fly.
Glad to see it back i remember the videos when you were building the cross kart
Man alive I love that machine. I have a 1980 honda cb750c. Love it too.
It would be so much faster with quad carbs.
I can't image a more unbalanced fuel delivery than what they are using.
The outermost cylinders will be running lean. I'm surprised it even runs.
turbocharger.
4 carbs set up with merc sticks, and i didn't see the valve clearance being checked.
Some bigger knobby tires would help it out. Skid plate for the engine would protect it. It may help to totally re do the suspension. Longer arms more travel taller tires. It's got the power. Just needs more tire and suspension in my opinion. Love the channel love this build. Thanks guys.
That is definitely the most badass build y’all have done so far. Very cool.
Great build!
my wife and i love ya show!!!! just to good and fun to watch !!
Haha cotter pin engaged! You sound like my other favorite TH-camr, Derek.
VGG, baby!
These videos are so much better without ads :D
This by far is the best looking project.
My favorite is the drag rail (even though it's slow AF 🤣).
Why does John shift with his right hand when the shifter is on the left???
Yeah Wtf 😂
Because he can’t drive a bicycle much less a vehicle with an engine.
@@R1Flem last time I checked you ride a bicycle not drive, and also I have been subscribed to this channel for years and John drives fine and has lots of experience on Go-Karts and mini bikes.

I had forgotten the power
Good to see the crosskart back.
It was so funny watching John's eyes go from 😃 to 😳
"hey this is really fuWHOOOAAAAA!"
Ike treating that thing like it owed him money. Cheesus Crisp!!!!!
Wish list for the Crosscart, four carbs like its suppose to have, a skid plate, pinch in the top roll bars so you can get in and out easily.
The double up on the three wheeler in the background LOL amazing
You guys need to use 1/4 inch thick steel to make a good skid plate
Love to see you guys put a Hayabusa motor in a jet ski! Good video!
10 BIG thumbs up!!! Happy to see cross kart again

My favorite cart. Daya makes a whole coil and ignition for those Motors, and they make one for the 750 sohc.👍👊
Been watchin you guys for a year now..i do similar stuff in scotland.
John's favorite machine
Hell yeah. Your best build in my opinion. Nice work guys

John's eyes when he guns it after the oil change 🤣🤣
@Cars$Cams. Sounds like there is a small bolt or a nut maybe a piece of valve sitting on top of a piston. There is some kind of loose small metal bouncing around in your engine somewhere.
I've got a CB750 engine laying around and God knows I want to make one of these haha
That's amazing your eyes were getting wider and wider and your face paler . Great video guys .
Make a plenum between the carbs and the runners. Almost positive that'll make it run better. Plus you can keep the dual carbs
Hinge the top of the cage like a fighter jet. Would make it easier to get in and out.
yeah thats not a bad idea. some big pins through a flange that mates two pipes together in front to close it. wouldnt be that hard to engineer, unless theyre relying on the upper bars for overall frame strength
