btw vlad just want to let you no the g923 logitech steering wheel already comes with that mod so you dont need to add it to it unless you dont want that
It's not a load cell. It's actually using a hall effect sensor for position data inside the metal thing. The position moved directly corelates with the amount of pressure applied to the part. Simulating a load cell. Although the logitech pedals have a rubber block to simulate a stiff break, supposedly the true break makes it much easier to break using pressure memory instead of positional muscle memory.
I have a G923 with this (with 60% main spring), and it's a game changing difference. I couldn't imagine going back to the original brake pedal. Even though the pedal travel is minimal you can easily judge brake power by the amount of pressure you're applying and modulate it...making trail braking so much easier.
@@efrainarchilla4942 The OEM logitech spring? It's night and day...their 60% spring is stiffer than than the TM t-lcm pedals using the strongest springs and max spacers to give you an idea.
This works on the G923 for sure? I’ve read that the G29 and 920 haven’t different design pedals or something with the springs. I can’t find any specific videos on the G923 at all though.
Enjoyable? I hate that I will have to do this because I am not good with technical problems like this. I did an unboxing and testing of the G923 wheel this week and the brake is ridiculously stiff. The clamp on the wheel also got stuck, and I have to watch another video on how to fix it. This is my first racing wheel since Nintendo 64. I was going to get the Thrustmaster 300 rs gt, but they are sold out everywhere.
Pro Tips : This Pedals Trap, are exactly the same from the very first racing wheel from logitech the G25 (that i still have). And those potentiometers (or position sensors as you called it) need a bit of conductive lubricant regularly and most important things to do is either block that window they have in the metal housing or mount your Pedals Trap Upside down to avoid gathering dust, hair, crap and sort.. Just sayin' ! cheers !
Yeah for some reason my DFGT pedals crapped out and were relatively clean put the pedals don’t give any input and I’ve checked the pots. Probably wiring but still annoying
Highly recommend swapping the original brake spring into the clutch and the clutch spring into the accellerator. After you stiffen the brake so much they feel week otherwise
This mod doesn't use load cell, it uses a linear potentiometer to approximate a load cell pedal. So it doesn't respond to pressure, it still responds to travel like a regular potentiometer.
I seem to be the only one that loves the stock brake pedal. I moved the gas pedal all the way right and the clutch all the way left and they are perfect.
Thanks man thus vid really helped. My pedals where sticking on so I cleaned em out, put it back together and it turns out the pedal sensors are broken. Great vid man 😂
I'm a year late but do it. I took them out of the black case a couple of days ago and attached them to some wood and then the wall, inverted of course. I couldn't imagine going back
So I installed my pedal, paid £60 or so. Got the 60% spring, but to be honest I would recommend a stiffer spring as it's a little weak if I'm honest. The point is that the load sensor is not picking up much input until you reach the stopper, so whereas I thought the 60% spring (ok, 3/4 but still) would still have some resistance, it was really softer than I expected - I would rather a stiffer one to have more feel in the sense of lifting off the pedal when trailing, but of course that might just be me. Overall I have to say I'm a little disappointed, counter to most of the reviews on here. I wish I'd saved the money for CSL pedal set and at some point DD upgrade (when anything is in stock of course!). Maybe I'll change my mind, I've been using it for a week now. I would recommend maybe the 80% spring if this review resonates with you somehow!
When I did my research, those that already used a load-cell pedal and this one, recommended to use the bigger buffer metal cap and I'm glad I did. I got them around this time of 2020. There's already a V2 of this mod but the one I bought are the V1 which I think use a stiffer spring too. Hopefully you try the stiffer spring and enjoy it more.
Happy to say I changed my mind a little over time and got used to it with some minor sensitivity tweaks in the sims. I probably would still go for the 80% but the 60% is now working out quite well contrary to my earlier comment thankfully.
The force spring is inside the aluninium part...the spring you see is just for the small first travel of the pedal...i got mine with yellow spring 30kg
I think you made a mistake when you put all the assembly in the plastic cap...i dont think it got aligned with the 3 gaps in the bottom therefore you had less pedal travel at initial pressing.
I just changed the springs of the brake and the clutch on my G923, since I don't use the clutch. The brake ist much easier to use now, at least for me and I didn't have to buy new springs or any other product.
Did you put the clutch springs into the brakes? I have the g923 and the brake is way to stiff, do I just do as the video says or is their another solution.
