- This is a video of my old Daihatsu Charade GTti - miss that thing!
This is a dyno run after all of my mods were completed with a run of 146.4 hp at the wheels
The car was running a Cb70 1L 3 cylinder DOHC Twincam turbo engine which was fully rebuilt by Bob campbell racing, running a hybrid BP6 turbo, custom front mount intercooler, stainless steel dump pipe with separate wastegate line, 2.5" straight through stainless exhaust (Sounded mint on boost), 50mm custom throttle body, Microtech ECU, lightened flywheel and Xtreme 3 puk clutch - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Nice dude! I had one of the 30 complied GTti's (years after they were imported), flew to Brisbane to buy it, drove to Newcastle the next day then 7am-11pm the day after that to get home to Adelaide, the CB70 ran like a dream. I had two G11 CXT's, then a G201 Detomaso, the GTti then a G102 with a HD-E, never should have gotten rid of them, far better cars than people would have had you believe. Good to see theres still people mucking around with them!

Sure is hendo337, It was an 1987 model which originally an Australian delievered 1L carburetted turbo model which was quite slow, but an import Japanese twincam DOHC 3 cylinder turbo engine was put in and modded like crazy!
thanks for the compliment, I miss the sound the car makes since its runs an odd amount of cylinders it really gives it an unique exhaust note. That and the fact it had no mufflers ;)
Hi I own a Daihatsu Charade 1.3 16V with 13 inch wheels. What is the maximum rim/Tyre size I can put on my car. Thank you.
Maksimum for comfort driveability is 15" rim, and make sure offset is match with fender.
Is this car from 20 years ago? I think it's amazing that Daihatsu had Dohc turbo 1L I3 all those years ago and now Ford has just come out with their 1L Ecoboost engine that makes 125hp from the factory(for now) and it is considered so revolutionary. I like how it sounds, like a turbo I6 very cool car.

I had one around 15 years ago. Best car I ever had... One of the biggest regrets was selling it.

Unfortunately, the guy who bought it ended up writing it off very soon after taking ownership 😞
I had mine as a total sleeper apart from the exhaust. I even had a classic music radio station sticker on the back window and a knitted blanket over the back seat.
Seeing the look of shock on peoples faces as I effortlessly left them behind was always good fun. Some day I'd love to get one again but they're so hard to fund now.
I heard there's still a big scene in Malaysia and Indonesia for them.
Diaclub, would love to know what mods you were running at the time. Can you direct me to any further info about your old car on the net? or list the details here?

Beautiful sound and good numbers? What turbo do you have there, I have a GT ti with a IHI VF19 at 10 psi, O don't Know how many power I have, I don't a have a dyno in my city, and I don't know if the turbo I'm running is appropriate for the engine as well. The guys of mighty car mods in Australia, put a IHI vf16 in a Dahiatsu Mira 1.0L but do you know which turbo is bigger ? Vf16 or vf19 ? Greetings from Chile

Hi, unfortunately I sold this car over 6 years ago so haven't been in touch with the gtti scene. Your best bet would be to try wreckers or other charade forums or Facebook groups (not sure what they are). The UK was quite popular for these cars/parts in the past.

シャレードだって一リッターないエンジンだけど、ノーマルブーストで、102〜105馬力なだけだろう。ブーストアップしたら146馬力だってなるじゃないか。マーチRだってノーマルブーストで110馬力。ブーストアップなら150馬力台か。
