It also sounds like a bit of a mix of a skyline (tubular manifold)

Only engine that sounds bang on cut in half without altering the crank or firing is the 5cyl engines that sound almost like v10's. Anyways that's my know all comment for the week

I CAN EXPLAIN THIS! i know its been a year but idc lmao. so the i3 is basically an i6 doing half its rpm. so when u hear an i3 rev up to 10k, it'll sound similar to an inline 6 revving in 5k. go ahead and check it. i shit you not. both of 'em is going to sing a "b" note on those rpms. (b as in the musical "c-d-e-f-g-a-b" or "do-re-mi-fa-sol-la-ti" so i meant they're both singing a "ti" note).... im not entirely sure, it could be a b# but hey im not pitch perfect.

I just find it quite funny that you think you hear some inline 6 thing like a GTR etc. And then comes round a teeny litte coffee convertible at like 50 MPH screaming it's head off

Once heard a Peugeot 107 with a broken exhaust system and it made me think of old classic Saab cars with 2-stroke engines, they really sound good.

I love the sound of 3 cyls. Would love to mod the exhaust on my fabia lol. It used to have a small hole in it somewhere which made it sound amazing but then the hole got bigger and it had to be fixed unfortunately

here in brazil, 3-cylinder cars are; Hyundai HB20, Ford Ka, Chery qq, Renault Kwid, VW Virtus, VW Up TSI, Citroën C3, and etc ...

The one in the i8 is the only one making 220hp and if you use it without the electric engine in the i8 the engine wears off easy, the electic enine takes the load off the engine

That may not be possible, because size can affect the engine entirely, firstly it wouldn't able to rev high because of the tremendous amount of bore and stroke it has making the size of an LS it can be unreliable in a lot of ways, though you alternatively just use a regular inline 6 which can achieve its size to reach the size of an LS if you modify it.

When did bmw produce a 115i? There's a 1.6l 4-cyl (pre LCI) from 102 to 170 hp114i to 118i and a 1.5l 3-cyl starting at 109 hp up to 136 hp in the 118i LCI
