    I'm having issues with the screws holding the airbag in. Ive got a T30 attachment but the screw is not budging. Have you got any tips please?

      You have to be careful not to strip out the torx relief but sometimes they just a little impacting motion to break them loose

    Thanks!
    Pry up the yellow bit on the top of the orange airbag connector to release it.

      My apologies for not filming that part

    Thanks for the video, very helpful. Only thing I would add/change is that it's much easier to get to the spring clip with the Speedo out the way which is just a couple of 10mm screw bolts

    Most important parts like remove air bag clip and spilt the indicator stalk you don’t display

    How much does a new stalk cost and how long would it take a professional to complete this job? Thanks!

    • @maxautouk
      @maxautouk  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      From when I did this the part was 105 pound i believe from main dealer and it takes about 0.33 hours to fit
      At a normal garage because of rent and insurances which are mega expensive you can expect that 0.33/h labour to cost you 26 pound!

    Didn't realise so much work involved

    • @maxautouk
      @maxautouk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Id say the hardest part is removing the steering wheel itself

    Hi was the reason for changing the indicators due to them not working correctly and the instrument arrows not flashing thanks

    • @maxautouk
      @maxautouk  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there, yes that's right the instrument cluster leds did not illuminate neither did the indicator bulbs themselves

    Great video. Thank you. One question: What is a "clock spring"?

    • @maxautouk
      @maxautouk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a ribbon that connects the steering wheel electronics with the car

      Agreed. The internet has the ability to bring all the goodness of people like Max Auto to the fore. Unfortunately the inverse is also true.
