Big fan of Joe Henderson, especially from 69 - 75 when he was on the Milestone label when I started getting into Jazz. The Blue Note Joe Henderson came as I got older. The Milestone label had classic Jazz on it like McCoy Tyner, Gary Bartz and Sonny Rollins. The Fantasy Label had more of a Jazz Funk vibe back then. The Meters discography is a tough find even in digital, but you have to get The Meters & The JB's Horns. I think they did two albums together.

Great stuff as always buddy. 👏
I'm actually kinda shocked Dragonfly didn't make it into the rotation. It really blows me away that some guy can just pull up with a bed full of metal records like that 😆

Still have my cassette copy of Meantime from 92, should have gotten the vinyl instead 😆
(I hated [stil hate] cassette's but they were more mobile, so...)

Curious---did you get the red or blue variant version? I got the blue on both cassette and CD.

I would luv to find a copy of Helmet - "Meantime" on vinyl. I only had like 3 times on c.d. Yeah one really is a Heater. I'm gonna have to get a copy of Rolling Stones - "Let It Bleed'. Because wind up finding a copy of it & I'm like I need to get that record. LoL Take Care Dillion

Same here. I'd love to find "Meantime" on vinyl. I have the blue versions of the cassette tape and the CD; it'd be cool if I can find a vinyl version with the red cover. When I got the CD and cassette back in the day there was the 2 color choices so I opted both in blue. So I wonder if on vinyl it was ever or is made with red and blue variants. I guess that's another grail for me. Haha!

wondering if youve picked up or plan on picking up the new randy holden record? got the test pressing of it and its an absolute smoker of a record. its cool to see him releasing new music and im curious on if this is 70s recorded material or newer cause his vocals are on point still along w his nasty sounding guitar sounds

My man i hope you get to a place one day when you realize how much better the Stones are than zeppelin. I'm a big fan of LZ. as well but there is no comparison whatsoever. The Stones a billion times more versatile and better sounding. Those are some great pickups though, carry on. I want to come visit your shop one day when I visit the east coast. I have a question: How in the hell can I track down a copy of Jim James Eternally Even? This record is so unique so i guess it's fitting that there is like two copies for sale on the web right now only.

First of all, the stones vs zeppelin… I’m always going to like zeppelin more, their sound is more appealing to me. I like jimmy page’s guitar work far more than Keith R. Plant is a far superior vocalist, Bonham outplays every drummer they ever had. The music they made with their chemistry is just more appealing to me. The stones may be more versatile, maybe, but the stones made a lot more crappy albums than zeppelin did. But they were around 4 years before zeppelin too, but beyond all that…. I just like zeppelin more. That’s not because you have better taste than me, it’s just because I like their sound better. For you to say “I hope you get to a place one day and realize…” like I am a child, trust me, I’ve listened to the stones and zeppelin for a long long time, it’s not gonna happen man. I hope you get to a point where you realize, 2 people can have different taste and still both be right. It’s a matter of preference.
