    On a different note, thanks for the guide.

    I know I need HUE+ for RGB controls but does this fan would work with other brand's pwm fan hub controller? or do I need GRID+ V3? Thank you

    just installed these today. but no OS so no CAM yet. fans are on without RGB and hue plus controller led is on so i think i did everything right, but do you need to fist install cam for the rgb to get working? Thanks!

    • @Alexplained
      @Alexplained  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's right. CAM will allow you to set your RGB profile...then once you save the setting, it will "upload" to the HUE box and will remain in the unit's memory for the foreseeable future, if that makes any sense. You can even delete the software if you are satisfied with the setting you created. Thanks for the question! :-)

    Did you connect any fans or stuff to the hue + except the power and usb connector

  • @innoxiousart6794
    @innoxiousart6794 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    why won't the Cam software won't detect any fans being connected? I have Phanket chassi (it has it's own mini fan mobo in the back case as well) if i wanted to change rpm fans...
    Where does one fan connection connect on the mobo? Cpu fan or system fan?

  • @nightbot9170

    so i just want to buy one of those fans. I want to take out one of the fans from my case and plug Aer rgb fans directly to the motherboard without putting anything to the in or out holes on the fan. Will this work?

    Is the hue 2 a better option, I wanna install 6 fans
    3in the front panel, 1 in the back and 2 on the AIO ?

    I'm looking to upgrade my case and lighting setup... I'm thinking of basing the lighting around the hue+ with new fans and strips... what do you think a good new case would be to show them off? I will probably fill up all the fan slots with these nzxt fans (even if i have to buy 6 of them lol)

    • @Alexplained

      Geometry Dash Epicerik Anything with tempered glass or acrylic all around. I think there was one new case from Thermaltake that has acrylic on three sides!

    I've got a very important question! What if I want to use 4 fans but the controller in the case has only enough slots for 2 fans? pleeeaasssee cam someone help me out

    sry if I got it wrong but why didnt you plug in your fans to the rgb hue controller from nzxt instead of the intergrated controller?

    Do i need the Hue+ to have NZXT led strip or can I just connect it to the mobo?

    • @Alexplained
      @Alexplained  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can double check, but I am pretty sure that the connector is proprietary. In addition, the strip itself wouldn't have the hardware for the RGB protocol built into it. Thanks for the question!

    Why do you daisy-chain the fans ? Can 't you control them independantly by plugging them in the different Hue+ ports ?

    • @Alexplained
      @Alexplained  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's been a while, but I remember the Hue+ box only having two ports. I feel like I could have done it that way since I was only installing two, but a big benefit of daisy-chaining is less cable clutter. You also technically wouldn't have to do as much work if/when you decide to add more hardware (I added an LED strip later). :-)

    • @kaawabanga__
      @kaawabanga__ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Alexplained I agree, but I'm still going to plug mine independantly, because I want to control them independantly

    Hey bro i was looking for some assistance , it looks like you have something on back for extra connections ? Im pretty bummed got these fans today and i didnt realize u need an usb 2.0 ! Which is so dumb my nzxt case uses one right off the bat for the actual usb ports so i had to unplug my rgb lighting for my cooler which sucks

    • @Alexplained
      @Alexplained  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ty Scott Hey, man! Are you talking about USB 2.0 headers? If so, your motherboard should have at least 2 (unless it's super small or relatively old). The chip on the center of the case is a fan controller. If you are out of USB headers, you can get an expansion card. Depends on your setup. Thanks for the question!
