Finally stepping away from just restroom reno. I am sure eventually people will request for their own office upgrades too. New business possibilities 😊
The black reads a deep Navy Blue on camera (and I'm obsessed), paired with the gold - ugh! Chefs kiss! Also, shoutout to your sister, AGAIN! My girl has great taste.
Awesome job. Even though it’s your house I would paint the inside of your cabinets white so they look finished if you ever sell your home. Painting the inside white makes it look more finished and will be easier to find things.
Excellent choice on the paint colour, I really like the matte finish. The cabinetry design also turned out really well. Another great video deserves another "like" :):):)
I have recently set up an office in a spare bedroom and I keep watching videos like this to give me inspiration on how to make it look nicer than a desk and a bookcase shoved against a wall, that built in looks great but sadly I did not inherit any of my late dad's skill in building things. All your videos I've watched so far have been fantastic, you have a new subscriber.
I used rockwool safe and sound in 2 separate rooms I renovated and only wore gloves and respirator when installing it and never felt itchy. I thought that was one of the many benefits of it over fiberglass insulation.
Your place is looking great! Glad you are sharing with us. I totally get the outlet in the floor. We extended our existing hardwood floor into our dedicated office and I just couldn’t bring myself to cut a hole into them. I too have a cord running to a wall outlet. I don’t even notice anymore and hope the same for you.
21k views and only just over 1.5k likes. We have to do better people! This is quality content; very detailed. Thanks Wolkon. The first video I've watched from you and I'm already subscribed less than halfway through! Keep it up man!
I recently found your channel thanks to the algorithm. I heard you say in another video you're self taught. That's incredible after seeing a few of your bathroom remodels! I do basic DIY and wish I had the skills, and courage, to tackle more.
Yooooo Liam!! Swear on God I was talking to myself saying you should keep a section of that wallpaper & 2 secs. later you were saying in the video LOL!! Fantastically done as always Bud. Your house is shaping up nicely. Blessings my friend, Dirty Jersey out!!!!
Ahhh, man, you've got me hooked and waiting for the floor video! On a main bedroom reno/rebuild right now, myself. Have some sketchy subfloors with a bit of movement so I'm curious how others have pursued a stable tile floor on plywood.
Super nice decor staging. Your sister did great. You guys did awesome on this 'test job' with the built-ins. Again, giving me more confidence for my own projects. Thanks again for documenting your journey!
So funny to see this today, because this is EXACTLY what I'm doing at the moment. I just had one bedroom painted and am moving my office in there. My current office, another bedroom across the hall, will become a much-needed guest room. Unfortunately I didn't have the option of replacing the wall, so my big challenge is running Ethernet cabling. Two of the walls were papered, which stripped off easily but left a lot of glue behind that was a pain to get rid of. The biggest advantage of doing this move is being able to sort out and get rid of decades of stuff I no longer need. If it's not a necessity, it will be donated instead of being moved across the hall.
You should get those battery operated lights in the top of the built in's. It would really elevate them and since you don't have to wire them you can take them down if you don't like the look
I tired alabaster by SW, its an interesting colour, contains a lot of gold and some black to make it a neutral off white, looks great at under artificial light, but when the sun hit the room between 12-3pm, holy retro yellow, I couldnt stand it, and had to go a shade darker to spare white. Very interesting how light plays a huge factor on the color appearance and reflectivity once the whole room is painted
The office looks amazing. Is that a Framed Way of Kings cover art I see at 12:06 ? Edit: I also spotted The Lost Metal and Tress of the Emerald Sea. Good choices!
Should have ran the flooring right under the built in cabinets. This way if they were to be removed in the future, you dont just have unfinished floor.
@@WorkinwithWolkon You can as long as you don't screw down the cabinet into the flooring. That is not different than a stand alone cabinet that is place against a wall on a floating floor.
According to the manufacturer and their warranty it is different. They clearly state in their product specs that you cannot place built in cabinets over the flooring. Again I’m with you that I doubt there would be any problems but I just followed the guidelines. Also if these cabinets ever were removed for the amount of work involved with that installing 3 new rows of flooring would be the least of your troubles (and I kept extra boxes)

It is a skill all on its own to look past a hideous space and envision something nice that you commit to making into reality. Great job Liam!
Thank you! I’m happy you like the transformation :)
I cab not agree hard enough. Artistic vision in indeed a skill.

He literally says that it's a very dark blue. (despite the name having the word black in it)
Thanks again, I love navy blue with gold accents so much. I was happy to be able to use them here
Awesome job.

You did a amazing job as always. I love the dark blue wall.

Thank you as always! I’m very happy with the way it turned out too
Ive never clicked on a video so fast!
Thank you for that!
Excellent, can't believe something so painfully 70's was flipped on its head to look so modernized and professional
I love the color of the built ins. Amazing job Liam!! Thanks for sharing another cool renovation video.
You two and your sister are a great team! These rooms are looking so great. Magazine/pinterest worthy!
Haha thank you so much for that!
We love you, Sebastian! ✨Sailor Moon Throwing Hearts Gif✨
An accent wall will always add style and visual interest to a room. Great job!👍🏾

The office looks wonderful! I think it suits you wonderfully, imo
Thanks! I think so too
I love the renovation and that chair. I wish I had that when I was working.
I am planning to rennovate my bedroom into office and was just watching your rennovation videos trying to find some ideas and you upload this🔥
Really clean, comfortable set-up. Nice work. Thanks for sharing.
The rubber ducky socckkkks 🥰
Those are my fun socks😂
You did really good job. I love it.

Absolutely beautiful! So much talent.
Thank you Marie Anne! I’m glad you like it :)

Another wonderful job!
Well done all❤
Excited to see the rest!
Thank you! I hope you like what’s to come
My man, over 200k subs already. And totally well deserved. Congrats on the house, and amazing job on the study.
Thanks a ton!
I actually have a similar idea for my home office, but i would love to see the desk building process.
This design is beautiful, thank you for your hard work!
Thank you so much!
Very nice end result 👏🏽

Thanks so much, you just gotta send it and learn from your mistakes :)
You took that room to the next level. Mighty fine looking book cases and cabinets. I do agree with you on the desk. A bit blocky, but functional.
Thanks! Yeah definitely blocky but it does the job
It's amazing. Everything you do looks great. I wish I could do this too.
Thanks! You can it just takes some trial and error
Very cheap components but so gorgeous 😍😍

My cat loved the action of this video

Beautiful
Ayy I spotted the Way of Kings book cover 😂
Looks good! How big is the room itself before the built ins?
What paint sprayer are you using here? Beautiful work, as always.
I'm so exited for you to get sponsored by #SimplySafe 🔥
Great transformation and vision. Can you provide detail of the flooring that you used? Brand, model and colour? Thanks.
Thanks! Curate Taiga oak natural

No kidding, lighting is so important it changes everything
Keep it going workin with wolkon
Thanks I will!
Bending vinyl for stair tread? If so currently doing the same 🙃
L I A M! The wood work you're doing is incredible. Keep it going.
Thank you so much!!
Ooooh I see some Stormlight Archive!
Obsessed with Brandon Sanderson
@ my maaan, great choice!

Very nice brother 👍😊🎉
Thanks bro!
Very nice
If you're anything like me you will eventually paint the backside of the doors. Great video!
When cutting the crown molding for the top of the cabinets, is there a trick to that? Or is it still just a 45 degree cut?
where did you learn your carpentry skills? I want to pursue a career similar to yours and don't know where to start.
Is there any reason why you don’t put the cabinets on the newly installed floor?
Hella nice
Thanks!
😅🙏
Don't forget to run some ethernet cables to the rooms you'll need them in, nothing worse than relying on Wi-Fi.
yıou need a red rug
get roller skate wheels for your chair, you'll thank me.
I see the cupboard / closet doesn't have any any doors.
Nope! I hung a moving blanket instead to reduce reverb for my recordings and keep it more accessible for storing my various audio/video equipment

You’re not supposed to put cabinetry over a floating floor. Would it have been fine in the long term? Maybe but this was the safer route
