The worst thing is when your boss only bullies you personally and behaves like a complete sweetheart to everyone else. No-one believes you when you try and speak out, you feel completely isolated and like a pariah.
@@garlandtif8055 I've just been there. There is really no way you can win here. The best thing you can do is find another job and let them deal with the constructive dismissal claim when you are gone

Exactly its the funniest thing ever this is how people get the ish beat outta of them. You have no idea who really who or who knows who. Maybe im calm cool and collected professional but my daughters abd nieces ready and rachet af ..
Yes HR always sides with the manager! When my boss was nasty, sarcastic and stopped talking to me in the middle of a meeting, HR intervened and said it was because my boss was under pressure from above so it wasn't her fault!! Couldn't make it up!!
Bully bosses are no different that other bullies. They're secretly inferior and want to feel powerful To hide their insecurities. These are the bosses who were bullied in high school and no one wanted to be their friend. As a result, they seek revenge by abusing power and becoming bullies themselves to blow off steam from their own tramatic past.
Recognize there is a serious problem at work. You have to confront the bullying or it will only get worse. Start talking to a lawyer depending on how deep in the job you are.
What can a lawyer do though? Unless you are in a protected group and can prove discrimination, the most you can do is get your boss spoken to by THEIR supervisor.
@@myketoside An employment lawyer can advise you on options for the worst case scenario(s) such as constructive discharge, retaliation (wrongful firing), UI (unemployment insurance), workplace harassment, etc. The bigger the entity the better and documentation is key. GL
My child care director is very bullying. No one can speak up. If speaking up, you guarantee your job is done. When employees go to the office, they will be gone and no one knows what is going on. She has abused so much her power. Once she doesn't like an employee, she picks a person small things until quit.
Achieving control and influence over an employee is a type of power that the managers receive from the organisation because of their status. Some managers will interpret this power in a coercive way which may result in its inappropriate use. Organisations usually have some form of recognition of this possibility and HR will let managers know to be careful. However that does not always stop associated poor management behaviours from happening in the workplace.
What if your boss owns his own company? He sometimes nice and the. other times finds anything to put me down no matter how hard I work. Ive never had this problem Ive always been a hard working it affects my confidence tremendously. And its confusing because he can be nice and apologies sometimes , but then he goes back to being a bully.
If this person is not someone you can discuss this problem with (the imbalance & not knowing "which boss" will be in the room) then it may be time to put yourself out there for another job. We should always have a current resume ready because... you never know!

Unfortunately many people are promoted to manager and lack the skills to manage effectively. I left my first corporate job recently, I worked there for 3 years. I have no more savings. No money to live off and pay the bills or we are homeless. Unfortunately I'm stuck looking desperately for another job. Nobody wants me, and the only jobs available are 12-14hr jobs in warehouse or call center, never touching those jobs. I just can't take it or I just wouldn't want to live anymore. I'm just stressed and anxious 24/7. I have a chronic illness which makes everything harder. Nobody cares. I've tried everything possible to make money, even stupid things. I run multiple online businesses, have multiple TH-cam Channels, I spent all my savings on trying to become a voice actor, which was my passion and the most i've made in a year is $30. I worked so freaking hard, even during my full time job all I did was grind outside of my job. I can't do this anymore, how do people live like this. My whole family thinks i'm a disgrace as I left a good paying job, but it was super toxic and stressful. Constant deadlines, daily meetings and managers making you stay unpaid overtime. I'm only 23. I can't do this for another 40+ years. I wish I knew what to do... I'm burned out too, all I do is voice acting for free and I'm too busy nowadays to even take on small paid jobs. Just sick of this bullshit society.
You did the right thing for you . Don’t give up And yes it’s a shitty superficial world and it feels like everyone seeks money over integrity Going through similar bullying crap from my boss stm too

When I signed on for this role I was under the impression that I would be in a particular role with the manager who hired me and that was changed on me fairly quickly. I’m now off the team I was originally supposed to be on. My boss who hired me now finds every opportunity to rub it in my face that I’m now on a worse team, not as important, making way less money, excludes me from all office events, speaks about benefits and trips and all the great things his team is doing in front of me and my co-workers. While making snide comments towards me and about me. I’m starting to feel maybe I’m being too sensitive but it’s really starting to bother me and I’m not sure what to do.
when i came in to work today. the work offices were changed. the maintenance office is now the head operator office. and the new maintenance office is next to it. and only for maintenance. im a laborer. and the only one. i was told by the maintenance guys they were to keep it locked. guessing so i don’t go in. but anyways. now everyone has a work space. and im pushed out to the staff room/ lunch area. where as. before i was allowed in the maintenance office
Lots of things are changing these days - COVID-19 related, of course! See if you can shift your mindset to find fulfillment in. your tasks (laborious tasks provide mindfulness opportunities - so perfect!) and not self-identification based on external factors. That links to pride, and pride is rooted in things we cannot control - so is a very risky place to find fulfillment and meaning.
People will say to me “but every where you work there will be someone you hate.” Uhm it’s the CEO and my other boss and there’s only 5 other people who work there and everyone wants to leave. And we don’t even have an HR
Well I work with the boss and he would make me feel really bad I work I've been there for 10 months the highest people and he takes away my hours and yet he wants me to do everything everything and always find something whether he pushes my hand whether he pushes me or whether he says a bad word and I just can't take it anymore and I work really hard I don't know what to do
Ain’t nobody doing all of that higher ups don’t give a damn. They are well aware of her behavior. She has put a protection on her to prevent them from firing her. She has control on the higher ups to dominate them. My answer was to just get outta there. Find some place better to work.
What’s worse the best way is to let the bully boss lay a finger on you and bam that’s assault and only get fired because you defended yourself which is stupid. Shootings happens because of bullies I wish there was laws against bullies especially here in California. I hate bullies in general and needs to be taught a good lesson. During my previous shift she ripped something out of my hand and threw it while yelling angrily at me. She has made fun of the way I talk. My coworkers have started to join in on the bullying some not as much but alittle bit and others quite a bit.
When i listen to you i want to give up, sorry, but do you think people will look for videos like that if someone is being hard on them... i haven't even finished your video. Maybe you said something right later, but at this point i am disappointed

I'm experiencing this now. It sucks she doesn't want to pay me unemployment, because there isn't a valid reason to get rid of me.

Yes thats the worst
You mean DON'T want to get involved
HR in the majority of cases will
Support the bully Boss.
Boundaries! But personally I will never go to HR. They side with the manager who just happens to be the bully and then fire you not the bully.
It’s illegal to fire an employee for filing a complaint
