In this Cities:Skylines [Sunset Harbor DLC] video you can see a noob, pro and modder building a huge Container Port in Cities: Skylines. The noob has no mods and DLC's and isn't that good in building things in C:S. The pro is better and also uses DLC's (for example the Industries, Sunset Harbor, Parklife or Mass transit DLC) and the hacker has a modded game with all the mods needed for building an huge realistic container port and industrial area.

Really, this should be called "Vanilla vs. light modding vs. custom" because every one of them has Imperatur's talent and tricks backing them up. What you can do with only a few assets is just amazing.

That ain't no Noob build. That's incredible. The hand-made bus terminal is amazing. Love these videos. I learn new techniques every time I watch one. Been applying the lessons-learned in my current city. City looks so much better than in my past playthroughs. Still have a LOT to learn.

You could use the university city content creator pack to make the houses look older.

You may be interested in the “Touch This!” mod, which allows you to modify roads attached to buildings like ports and airports
Yeah i know that mod but forgot to enable it😅
I've been able to fake it with MoveIt but using MoveIt to move the included road out of the way and then placing my desired road in its place. I'll then repurpose the removed segment. I'm actually trying to limit the mods I use, as every major update or DLC becomes a pain to get all the mods updated.

you actually like this music?!?! I've been sitting here wondering why the hell soooo many random youtube videos have this garbage playing in the background. Super curious who even takes the time to make this shite and why, like do they make it with the sole intention of it being used in instagram fitness montages and "life-hack" craft videos? because it is ALWAYS there, why does it all sound the same and why is this stuff used so ubiquitously across the internet, yet you will never hear this type of music anywhere other than internet videos. So many questions, I've really been intrigued by this the past couple days. It's almost like its own cliche little genre, akin to elevator music. Sorry for the rant but I have honestly never heard someone even acknowledge the use of this type of music, nevermind say they like it.
I think that you should build a diverging diamond intersection next. They can be quite complicated but there are really cool!
I have an idea. You can make series of videos where you build the most famous cities in the world, like New York, London, Paris, Moscow, Singapore, Shanghai or Dubai.

Next DLC should be about ports both air and sea, like the University and industries DLC
They can make a Airport or Trains dlc too
In that second version, in that one square area between the ports on the first bit of land, I would of added a metro station there. Good spot and in the middle of everything for those that need to work.

I just watched your last video of building a container port last night (Dream City). I wanted to fix up my harbor as it is not even your standard of noob but I do have good truck and train traffic flow through it. Now I guess I’ll have to destroy it all and start over.

At 21:00 German dark humour make sure you not place some explosive chemicals near the silos and ensure huge distance between your harbour and the city otherwise you will have many broken windows:-p

But tbh something i would really like to see, (but a huge project) but getting some save files from some from the community and u show what to do better, and then make the improvements, i know it can be quite a task, but it could be nice to see the maybe small improvements just to get the traffic flowing again or the economy is just going down.... idk could be really fun to watch :) and maybe it could help the not so fancy players get better :)

There's a mod called "Pollution Solution" that allows you to disable ground pollution, noise pollution and water pollution.
But, because I answered an entire year later, you've probably already found something.

Maybe you should stop referring to the first player as "the noob" and rather start calling him something like a "tryharding noob". If you wanted to show an actual noob, you should add an another player which doesn't even places the docks in a straight line, but rather carelessly in a totally unrealistic and wrong locations, like on a side of a cliff.

Imperatur has vastly overestimated what a noob can do. I have hundreds of hours in the game and I'm not a that noob level.
I mean at some point pro modders aren't really simulating things so much as just painting.
FFS...after years of playing, I am still a noob. Guess I stick to just having fun.
