  • In this Cities:Skylines [Campus DLC] video you can see a noob, pro and hacker building a commercial district. The noob has no mods and isn't that good in building things in C:S. The pro is better and the hacker has a modded game with move it, road anarchy and Traffic Manager: President Edition.
Mods you can find here (imperatur's Modlist):

accurate af, whilst I do like an eye candy city, it does defeat the purpose of the game imho, which is to build, maintain and expand a city.......plastic props don't mean a thing as far as I'm concern, all they do is add " *immersion* " with very little to no purpose.

Mixing activities in districts is the best way to do it. It can save your city from commuting. And usually customers is not the issue, they can use public transportation, the real issue here is supply trucks. If you are mixing commercial buildings with residential probably a good idea is to build some cargo train terminals across the city to provide goods supply without long distance rides.

I'm a modder for sure but watch these to get ideas and inspiration.
    Recommendations:
    1. Mixed use. Add commercial to your main streets, and use "Smilies" (and others) mixed use buildings. You can add "commercial blocks" to the bottom floors with "Move It" to make them functional.
    2. don't use vanilla trees/bushes (with few exceptions). Lots of great realistic trees, bushes and plants in the workshop. "Pdelmo" is the GOAT of plants.
    3. "KingLeno" is the GOAT of commercial assets.
