Glad you enjoyed it! I decieded to try something a bit different this time around, considering that Guff is kind of the MTG equivalent of Deadpool, so I'm glad to hear some folks got a kick out of it!
Been considering grabbing a copy of this precon since I can order it for a damn good price. And out of all the upgrade guides I have looked at for Planeswalker Party, yours is the one that I feel best understands what the deck is trying to do and what needs to be patched up to facilitate its gameplan.
Great upgrade guide. One suggestion I have is to include a screen at the end with all the names/pictures of all the cuts, and another with all the adds. Would make it just a little bit easier to analyze it! Either way appreciate it a lot!
really appreciate the video, have quite few planeswalkers on there I didn't think of and even a few I did. I think I'd personally want to keep nevinyrral's disk just for the hilarity that would ensue from giving it a vronos counter.
Fantastic lore bit with Guff crashing through for a bit, and as always you got me excited for a deck I thought I wouldn't be interested in. Definitely sharing this one with my playgroup!
I ABSOLUTELY love this!!! I had no idea they made a super friends precon. I’m at work till 4pm and I’ll be at my local card shop picking this up as soon as I get out. I have always wanted to make a super friends list!!! Thanks Grazzet!
Because the precon has come down so much in price I just was able to assemble it for a $139 shipped -- just $5 more than it was when this video was made. Pretty crazy how much the precon has dropped but the additions have risen in price -- and that it evens out to what it cost nearly have a year ago. REALLY fun deck to play and I love your builds and videos!!
Im surprised you didn't include Tezzerat the Seeker in your build. He can immediately search out your 2 most important artifacts in the deck. Hell, he can grab both if you activate him after connecting with Chandra's Phoenix. Another suggestion id make is Kykar, Wind's Fury. Really good token generator in this deck, and it also helps you ramp out your planeswalkers.
I second Kykar. Adding her to the deck made my deck pop off extremely well. Consistently able to ramp out any cards I needed from my hand was an absolute god send. I'm currently piecing together a workable deck by pulling from multiple upgrade guides, and Kykar is mentioned in one or two, but is overall an amazing pick, and really lets you cut down on a mana rock or two without feeling the impact overly much.
TH-cam seems to be treating me like Nicol Bolas, making my journey to catch up with all your videos nigh impossible... still, amazing video as always! Especially with that reading you gave the commander! Day 704 of waiting for the Grazzet face reveal. Sorry for my absences, by the way. Notifications decided to be dogshit as of late, making me miss out on a lot of videos. Ain't fully stopping me anytime though!
The peregrine Dynamo is great, he has haste (he's ability coast 1) and can be cast by our Chandra Legacy of fire with only red mana. But I prefer Brago, king eternal Because he can defend our plansewalker against flying and blink our commander to continue burning enemies.
@@GrazzetMTGCome on, cut him some slack. Sure, Urza failed at everything he tried but at least the betraying everyone part had alot of influence from Yawgmoth, probably, i think
Teferi who slows the sunset and Ral Zarek are both better at getting you extra activations of The Chain Veil than the mono blue Tef that has to - to do it.
Hey grazzet I'm kinda new to magic, so I joined a magic league And I got a question So In the League we pick a precon and we can only upgrade buy opening packs from sets after dominaria remastered to now so I picked of course Planswalker party and was curious if you have any ideas to witch set packs I should open the most looking for upgrades
I have a question will kenrith and rowan kentrith are 2 cards but is this meant to be they are one card? Because you said you can both change to teferi hero of dominaria? I hope you understand what i mean
Good catch! Yeah, that's on me.... Goes to show that Mangara has been so expensive for so long that I could even remember what he did since I only build budget and, like all magic players, I don't read the card! 😅
That's not a bad idea, considering that this build has a decent number of ways to inflict damage without attacking (or we could just destroy Pramikon ourselves we we don't need it any more to attack ourselves). Good suggestion!
Honestly, it depends on the context. Since I'm assuming you're referring to Nicol Bolas, the Ravager - he don't really support planeswalkers until we're able to flip him into Nicol Bolas, the Arisen (which costs 7 mana to do so), and even then his only real support for the archetype is his minus -4, which is a solid means for us to get walkers back from the bin don't get me wrong, but doesn't do much else. Meanwhile, Commodore Guff starts supporting the archetype immediately via is his +1 (which allows us to cast our planeswalkers faster), his passive increases their loyalty each turn to allow us to use their downticks more often or get to their ultimate's faster, and his -3 provides superb card advantage generation once we have a few planeswalkers in play (on top of burn to help soften up our opponents). That said, Guff is more vulnerable that Bolas by virtue of being a planeswalker while Bolas starts off as a creature & Guff is incapable of winning games by himself, while brings a lot of generic value by himself on top of a backbreaking ult that more or less eliminates a player from the game - so we would need to take that into consideration as well. So, in my opinion, Commodore Guff is a better Superfriends commander if we're going all in on walkers to get more mileage out of the workers themselves, while Nicol Bolas, the Ravager is a better generic commander that can bring a lot to the table in the form of value, removal, and a game ending ult that is still capable of supporting a Superfriends deck via his planeswalker reanimation. Hope that helps.
Very true, but it also limits our attacks and, critically, we can't change or "deactivate" its effect once its onboard - which may make it awkward to use at times. Still, it is a superb pillowfort piece to protect our walkers, so I can easily see it slotting into the build!

The reading about the commander was great.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
The Guff taking over the lore spotlight was such a highlight! Love starting my morning off with a laugh and Grazzet deck video!
Glad you enjoyed it! I decieded to try something a bit different this time around, considering that Guff is kind of the MTG equivalent of Deadpool, so I'm glad to hear some folks got a kick out of it!
So glad I waited to get this deck. I only paid 36 for it. And a lot of the upgrades are still decently priced as well.

This is probably the best upgrade build I’ve seen for this deck so far. Nice work!

Another great video Grazzet, thanks as always for amazing quality content, much appreciated
Thank you and my pleasure!
easily my favorite precon ever.
Im most excited for the enchamtment one!
Can’t wait to see the Enchantments upgrades.
Working on it now (and its turning out quite well if I do say so myself), so stay tuned!

26 planeswalkers, now it's a party.

I took out Kazuul and added Pramikon in there. Copy him with Spark Double and now there can be no attacks and that should buy you some time.
That's not a bad idea, considering that this build has a decent number of ways to inflict damage without attacking (or we could just destroy Pramikon ourselves we we don't need it any more to attack ourselves). Good suggestion!
Does Nicol bolas is stronger than guff as superfriend commander?

@@GrazzetMTG ic, thx for the explanation
Why would I get those creatures when I could get ghostly prison or propaganda instead ?
No isperia the supreme judge?
This might be your most unique build yet. Tempted to try it out just to do something WAY outside my normal motif
Pramikon works as a deterrent against a certain player.

I also remembered the deification card. Make guff hexproof and can't be killed because he makes a creature.
Turns out Guff didn't only rewrite history, he also rewrote the script.
I couldn't edit it out, he just kept doing it!
@@GrazzetMTG turns out your edits were part of his rewrites so it was futile from the start.
