      If it's your last time riding.. always wear protection gear. My parents just tried to save 3 people a week ago on a vacation trip on two bikes that hit each other at a cross on a highway. One didn't stop at the light. No one made it out alive. They fought for an hour to save them with paramedic experience, until authorities arrived and took the scene. No helmets..no gear. Ground his face in half and was still breathing. Think before you ride family.
      Stay safe!

    Hey man, just wanted to say that you shouldn't use tools to tighen down an oil filter. Just tighten them down by hand and you'll be alright, the tools might make it harder to take off.
    Also make sure to dip your finger in some of the new oil to spread on the oil filter's rubber gasket. Saw your newer vids and like what you're doing, keep it up!

    I always get grips first, but i do respect the drive to get back on it. From the initial takeoff i knew something was bound to happen lol Tires, Tires, Tires, and rotors Pads, etc. If you cant stop or grip your screwed. Also bike was quite large in cc size for your first, just always remember Gear+MSF+Maintained bike+no speeding= ALIVE p.,s you fell because you were dragging leg and facing that direction

    I have that same bike, it’s pretty fast for a first bike. I bought it from a guy who crashed it, I had to put new plastics and a stator cover on it. The 1st thing you do wrong when you put it in gear. You see you have your foot understand you have to balance a bike to move it off 2nd thing. Yes it could be the leaf because if it's wet underneath and we'll hit it a different angle it will make The bike blues control

    Of course it was the leaves! And, they're 100 more slippery when they're wet or just damp. Many moons ago, when I was a Lineman for NJ Bell Telephone Company, my friend & coworker, Sal Garcia, bought a beautiful, brand new BMW touring motorcycle, & he drove it up to New Hampshire for the weekend to see all the colorful Fall foliage...he had never ridden the big before that weekend. He was coming around a curve up in New Hampshire going from bright light into shade & he hit a patch of "black ice" & damp leaves...the bike immediately slid out from under him & separated from him & he slid along the roadway (in brand new helmet & full leather pants, jacket, boots, & gloves) right into an oncoming pickup truck...he was killed instantly...he was a young man, newly married to a beautiful woman, & earning a great living...he was the guy who trained me at Installation...I still remember it like yesterday--after our shift on Friday afternoon, he & I threw a football back & forth for a little while in the Garage parking lot...he left for his weekend trip the next morning...that Monday morning, when I came into work, the told me, "Sal is dead." Man, that pained me very deeply, & it still does now remembering it...I remember going to his viewing, & I kneeled at his casket & said a prayer with my other buddy & coworker, Ken Pieklo...after we stood back up, Sal's sister approached us & thanked us both for coming...I had never met her before, & I offered her my condolences...she smiled & thanked me...I looked over her shoulder, & I noticed Sal's wife, whom he had introduced me to once before, sitting in the front row of the small chapel inside the mortuary, quietly weeping...it is one of the saddest images in my memory...RIP Sal...&, RIP to all of the other countless riders out there who have taken their final fall...please do follow you own sound advice 🙏

    avoid anything loose on the road surface!

  • @TwoWheeledBooBear
    @TwoWheeledBooBear ปีที่แล้ว

    Definitely wasn't the leaves. One of the most important things you can do on any bike is get weight on the pegs. Without it, you have no stability on the bike, and the bike itself isn't going to have the same traction it would otherwise have with your feet perched up on the pegs.
    Leaves can make things sketchy but it won't make you crash if you're riding correctly - otherwise every MX, ADV, DualSport rider on the planet would do nothing but crash 100% of the time.
    Get some riding gear, and maybe hop on a dirt bike and ride around in some loose stuff to start with. Learning to ride dirt first makes paved riding a cakewalk.
    Everything on a bike is about finesse and practice. We all crash, especially those of us that ride dirt. Just gotta get back up and keep going - it's a part of the process.
    Oh, and keep the rubber side down!

    This is the reason why a Motorcycle license is required in most other countries. It will literally save your life. This can also happen at higher speeds, first thing you learn is to avoid leaves, stones, dirt and other debris because it will get you gliding no matter what the state of your tires is.

    Bro, be careful, that is not a beginner bike. Too old, no electronics for you to handle the mistakes you will make as a beginner and definately too much power on the wheel. Also, wear at least helmet and gloves so that you don't die at least, but even a small accident can make your life a mess. I wear a full leather suit whenever I go to the twisties and even with that I know I can get hurt. Enjoy the experience, but have in mind this is not a toy.

    first bike should never be street bike and first rides never on street with any bike. Skills need to be learned in safest place the dirt. more first time riders die on streets due to lack of skill. I grew up around bikes not one of the many kids who went from dirt to street got killed on street. many whos first bikes were on street never saw HS graduation. lack of skill kills more than speed drinking and pretty much any other thing on a bike. sad but true riding a bike takes much more skill than driving a car tons of coordination and balance. Brake in leaves crash on bike not in car. Any 6 yr old with 6 months riding in dirt is safer than this guy sorry dude but you are going to die riding on street, more likely than living

    with out a doubt the leaves! you cannot ride on leaves, holes, oil slicks, water, sticks, rocks, dirt, grass! i almost die every day on my bike because of dogs, dead animals, people cant drive, every other car almost hits me dont see me. the rain, gravel, leaves, people on crack, cops ect...
