I got one that the owner couldnt get running for £100 and it turns out that the carbs were really out of sync so it wouldnt start. Got a 600cc for £100

sorry to hear that man if I were you I would sell the bike and buy a fuel injected 600. try a 08+ cbr600 many owners have over 80,000 miles with no issues at all.
