    nice setup! just a tip for everyone if your looking for a way cheaper heavy duty draw slides, skateboard bearings and inch box section are the way to go for a fraction of the price only draw back is they take up about 50mm per drawer instead of 20-30mm

      this is true i just wanted the full 1500 slide n to be super strong, tax write off too so win win really lol

    Loving the upgrades you've done from Scott's version, very well thought out. If I ever upgrade from the ute I'll definitely be stealing some of your ideas!

    Nice setup up man, I have one of the new hiaces and built a floor setup for it for all my flooring tools. It's like the 4th one I've built and have it down to the point I can do it in a weekend on my own haha.

      Hey man I'm a floorer as well, about to fit out my first van. How did you fix off the base of the draw set up? I feel like its gonna shift around with the van unless i cut it dead neat. Cheers

      @@Reece-em7rtwell I only put draw in the sides and they aren't on tracks yet so they just sit in there neat up to the closed doors. You'd be surprised how little things move around if you fit them neat.

    Ended up with van that only has a passenger side door. Going to have to get creative with the draws to get around this drawback

    Car shock absorber attached to the end of a timber diagonal brace, to absorb earthquake energy. I have designed 3 homes in Wellington with Monroe shock absorber 45 degree (approx) braces.

    This is the best setup for low roof vans too many hiace vans in Australia still using shelves not ideal since you have to crouch inside.

    While Scott BRowns was a good leisurely watch, this was much more informative from a learning point of view and detail. LIke how u held the camera for a tad longer so i can actually see and absorb it rather than having to go back and pause. Cheers Gary!

      hi Ricky, yes couple things. mainly shrink the area allowed for the 2 saws, if I had gone tad tighter the pockets on the side could have been larger. also the drawers could have been longer so that the end if the unit was just past the edge of the side doors, semantics really also iv since added a set of plywood drawers next to the drop saw which improved things greatly!!!

    saw the frkn broken makitablower... did u see how much contact it is for the 2piece to come together... barely a chunk... i know cos mine was new n it frkn broke like that... i lost receipt n patch with silicone... FYI if u do patch urs... be sure bond is good n air tight for the air suction... otherwise will be a weak blow.. mean setup...

    I’ve got actually the same van so I’m wondering if I can grab your measurements if that’s algud with you?

      thanks brayan, um no was a custom build ie made ut up as i went haha i can throw a tape over a bit of it if ya want... 800ish for sliders n about a grand in ply and timber

      hi Lewis, in all honesty it actually improved the overall handling of the van as it bounced around quite a bit beforehand then add all the tools, still no real problem on rear wheels it rides smooth as

    Hey mate. I’ve currently got a hiace but only the 1 slider. Good van. Had it kitted out and now going to rip it all out and change it up. Or I sell and use a Ute. How did you find the Ute? Did you need a tool trailer? I’m only looking at one because I’d like to drive my son around

      hey mate, single slider is fine just have to customize to suit your needs, utes are good but not like a van 😉

    Hey mate how did you setup the inverter? What are the draw handles like? And do they auto lock?

      hi Ricky, the inverter can with a positive n negative lead which I wired directly to the battery which Is under the passenger seat👍 yeh almost 6 months now n still solid, they are from brunsco, not lockable but yes the catch is very good never fails

      cheers bro yeh i added draws on the dropsaw side which helped heaps, n other than that maybe hinges on the wheel well area but other than that i love it!!😁

      yeh definitely but I also used 20x20 pine in areas that need extra strength but yip for the drawers etc its plenty havnt had an issue yet n its been 7 months of hard every day work on them
