    You know sometimes with people living in their cars or vans i think how nice it would be to have a business that caters to this type of person, whether by choice or otherwise. What i mean is touching base with a place once a week, getting a pre-chilled efficient cooler stocked with a weeks worth of frozen tasty meals, having access to a laundry machine and shower and other comforts one would want access to, and a battery exchange to swap out an empty power bank with a full one. It would be like a one stop shop type of thing to resupply and get back on the road.

    Beautiful setup. Sometimes less really is more. Having a storage unit or a homebase, makes living out of a vehicle, so much more comfortable. I found I actually prefer my daily driver for my roadtrips to the class b, van that we got the year before my husband passed away. For one I just don't need all that space and the daily driver is stealthy, nimble, gets better fuel economy, and is a better ride for driving. I have escaped winter 2 years in a row in my daily driver and just like it better than the big van. Thank you for taking the time to create this video, you have 3 items that could definitely make my travels in my daily driver, more comfortable than the lold clas b van. ❤😊

    Dude, that's awesome. I have a Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Matrix in disguise. Similarly set up, I like your power options! I also have 2 tents. One I can stand up in, the other is just a small one person, that the wind in the desert won't destroy. I'm 59 & have loved camping & travelling since a kid. I'm going back out to the southwest in October. I live in Virginia, but over the next year, I'll be car & tent full time. Best of luck my friend.

    Wow...I've watched tons of these kinds of videos. Your setup is top notch, one of the best I've seen. You definitely have checked all the boxes. I would probably add a rooftop storage box and an optima yellow top deep cycle starter battery. On my vehicle I also added a 12 light bar to the front bumper. I call this low beam assist. When traveling at night it's a real game changer and perfectly legal.

    I love the simplicity of your setup. Then, you have tons of power. Good fridge, air conditioner, great bed. All the important things. I wondered about toileting, cooking and food storage other than the fridge. Do you cook? Make coffee? Are you always in a city? And you mentioned plugging in your big cord. Where do you do that? I camp out of my CRV and am always looking for better ways to do it. This video made me a new subscriber.

    Clever ideas. I notice your setup is more minimalistic compared to a year ago. I have a Thule roof and bike rack, and I’m only using my 2015 Rav for road trips and camping, so I don’t really need to stealth it, but I’ll definitely use some of your ideas. The battery for the fridge looks great.

    Great tour. I’ve started car camping whenever I travel since getting a Tesla 3. It’s much smaller than yours but the camp mode keeps the temperature perfect and with the back seats folded there is a perfect flat space for a regular twin mattress. I stay in state parks with RV power usually so I can get a nights sleep and 300 miles of range for $20-30 the camp mode works without plugging in but if I need to charge anyway the campsites are good value. I’ve been thinking of getting an old Tesla X and stripping out all the seats to do something like you’ve done. I think that would be the perfect budget car camper.

    You know watching all these videos I think a good business model that would really help vehicle dwellers or even homeless is a place for services that would help them or be useful. Like showers and laundry. People go to the gym and many times it just for a shower. all that equipment and they are just getting cleaned. perhaps bath houses should come back. a business that has showers, laundry and microwaves to heat up hot meals. Perhaps also a food pantry that would work better for some one with no fridge or needs dry goods donations. What about sleep pods with lockers to hold personal items daily and be cheap. i am thinking like in japan. And it be very clean that someone would want to stay at. And safe. Not to mention mail services and additional help getting your official documents reordered. If you loose everything imagine trying to get it all back.

      I also have a Rav4 hybrid (2018) and have been trying to make it work for camping as a test for an upcoming 6 week road trip. It's a challenge with those batteries taking up so much room and preventing a flat space in the back. And then the little slanted-topped storage cubby unit that comes in it. I think I may take the back rests on the backseat out, as well as have the front passanger seat taken out. Was hoping not to do that. 😢

    I lived for a year and a half in a 2003 Pontiac vibe, and it had a factory 110v plug. Awesome car to live in, no modifications, just recline front seat. I had too live in it while avoiding fake charges, my wife mother moved in my house and in 3 months i came home and law tried to arrest me, because mother n law said she heard me tell my wife i was kicking her out, and she heard through bedroom wall. Of course as a southern man, i defended my house and myself, whooped a couple cops and went on the lamb for almost 2 years, until her mom was deported because she was here illegally. Long story short, because I didn't allow them to arrest me, all the facts came out, a cop and detective was fired and a judge cant hold office anymore, and i was proven completely within rights , which local law do not except. I have never been on drugs or alcohol, and i use to be a deputy. So i can say by my own experience, NEVER allow the law or anyone, control your life. Thank you Pontiac vibe.

    Yov'e been doing this for a while but your doing the power thing wrong with what you have and how its setup and you have most all you need to do it right so here is my 2c worth, Bro (ozzie slang for mate) get some good gauge wire (30A capable) and run from the 12v/200A batt into the bluyeti power input (crimp or solder the right power in, I think its XT60). Now get a. 20/30/40/DC/DC+SOLAR charger fitted from your alternator to the rear of the car and put the DC connectors clapped or screwed to the 12V/200A. When the cars not running buy a ($70 350V Flexible Solar Panel for tossing on your car roof when not moving and run the leads(2) to the Solar in on the DCDC/SOLAR. The extention cord can be run into the back of the Bluyetii or into its recharge adaptor. WHY DO THIS? A) normal 12v car lighter is 10A max 120whr in the DCDC can do 40Ax12=500whr into the big 12v/200A beast and it will always keep charged the Bluyetii. Driving with now be x5's faster or shorter time more effective! If you even buy a DC12v>24V 10A ($30 and no solar, 240whr) it will be better than what you have. And then Buy the FlexSolar (they are lighter and tough and cheap! With a MMPT 20A Solar to DC and feed that into the 12v/200A. BTW if that little charger take input power other than the 110V adaptor, then run the Bluyetii cig out into the 12v SOLAR in charger... SO LIKE WATER DOWN A MOUNTIN, the POWER in is optimised for driving and recharging optimaly into the BIG 12v/200A and then it overflows and keeps the BLUYETII full (and if possible the baby last of all) and when stopped and you have daylight, SOLAR to keep the 12V200A full and then downstream full. At night, maybe the 25m cord will on a hot day be able to keep things full and run the aircon, to awake to full charges to make brekkie with! Run the Aircon from the Bluyetii and it will in turn keep the aircon batt full and used last when 1) the 12V200A is empty, then 2) the Bluyetii is empty and then when 3) when the aircon batts empty. And you would still in the AM, without solar, 110V or driving, still have 200A in the baby to get some coffee and toast, maybe irion a uniform or get on the net, charge your phone.... The bits your missing is sod all! Ecoflow might even toss you a 800W DCDC as its the best but its not suitable for the Bluyettii as its 'intelligent; prioperty plugs and such but a eBay one 40A/12V (with dual alt/solar which saves you buying a seperate MMPT SOLAR to DC) are not expensive (I paid AU$150 on Ebay and it works with everything unlike the new, awesome ecoflow DCDC. Flip the Bluyetti for an ecoflow/river, and the ecoflow DCDC and if you drive an hour or so a day you might not even use the solar, but its nice to have, light and free energy when your not burung, what you americans call gas and we ozzies call peterol! Lastly if you got this far, 25m car lead is smart but so too is 10-20m starlink and SOLAR as you often want the car in the shade but you need clear skys for starlink and sunlight, not shade for solar.

    • @mrsrhardy
      @mrsrhardy 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      All you need is a 20/30/40/upto 80A with the new Ecoflow! DC to DC (optional dual SOLAR in most aftermarket ones) and this goes to the alternator, the lead to the rear cabin and into the 12v200A. You can buy a Flex350V you can toss into the roof when stopped and it goes into the 12V200A too. From the terminals, into the SOLAR IN XT60 via a flylead. You already have the ecoflow aircon plugged into the bluyettii and its battery. Optional, power from the 12V out car plug into the little yellow thing inputs if it can recharge this way. Worst case you can buy (its also an alt ebay alt to fancy and fancier DC converter like the new Ecoflow 800w beast!) to just buy the small DC conv like the 12V to 24V 10A or whatever converter if the solar in base requirement is higher than what the DC is on the uphill side (think of it like water flowing down hill. the DC converter is a cheap way to pump up or down volatage or wattage to meet the requirements on the other end! At the very end is of course the yellow UPS and then your mobile and laptop battery, same as the aircon batt. Worst case, you run the aircon all night so it send the BMS to sleep on the BIG batt first, then the next Bluyettii is depleted and BMS sleeps, then the onboard ecoflow to 0. By now you should have had a good night sleep, a nice lay in (warm or cold with the ecoflow) and you still have the yellow UPS to start the day! Go for a drive, powering up, then 'filtch some 110V with the 25m lead! Solar when you find a nice bit of shade with leads so you can also have starlink and SOLAR from the sun. Between it all you have way over 3kwhr power from full daily to use. AND one last thought buy a 12V/USB Electric blanket as for most of the year its the cold that sucks! Its a dribble of power use makes your bed nice to lay, sleep or sit on and it will also keep the car warmer. 120ahrx10hr is

    How does the 12 volt compare to the Togo and Bluetti? I'm assuming it's more powerful, but would it be possible to charge the fridge using one of those as an alternative? If so, how long do you think that charge would last and can the fridge hold a charge when not plugged into a battery? Awesome video man!

    • @RavRoving
      @RavRoving  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      The bluetti and togo will power the fridge but not for as long as the battery. The battery is more just raw power, where the bluetti and togo have more features like outlets, usb ports, flashlights, etc. the togo would only power the fridge for around 7-8 hours max, and the bluetti will power it for maybe a day and a half straight. And no the fridge has to be plugged into a power source for it to work. Thanks for watching the video bro!
