There are so many of these instructional videos on youtube and this one is actually the best! Should have many more views! You've done a great job and it's very well explained. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks a lot!!👍🏼
Brilliant, the perfect example of the use of the ticking stick, didn't think anyone used this method these days, great video thank you
Thank you for the comment! It is a very handy method for doing some task isn’t it!👍🏼
when you laid that first board in the back of the van it all made sense lol, tidy job
Thank you!😆
Like some other comments. I’ve seen loads of videos on this but nothing as accurate and professional as yours. I’m still trying to work this method out but your work is outstanding! Thanks George
Thanks a lot! If there are bits you are unsure on I can try and explain it a bit better? It is a very useful method once you get the hang of it. Thanks again for the comment I appreciate it!👍🏼 @georgeshaw2607
Thanks for sharing this information. This was helpful, useful, clearly presented, and the videography was really good for your first video. I liked how you slid the tie down covers into place.
Thanks a lot! Appreciate it! Definitely need to put some more time into it and make a few more videos soon! Hope they will be of help to you as well😄
That’s the best I’ve ever seen, and I’ve watched lots of videos on this 👍🏼
Thanks a lot! Really appreciate it😁👍🏼
Outstanding job. Brilliant. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you! Appreciate the comment😄👍🏼
Pretty sick...I just used a template of floor protecter sheet
Yeah that is a good idea using that. It does come in very handy for templates👍🏼
Wow, thanks a lot. I've never seen this method before, excellent stuff. I'm at the floor stage of conversion, and I'm definitely going to give it a go.
What grade sand paper for the ply edges is the most suitable from your experience.
Thanks a lot for the comment. I have since got rid of my van and just have a car… keep thinking about getting a van to convert and I’m getting very tempted! Hope yours goes to plan!
I can’t remember what I used exactly but for most things 80 and 120 grit covers most bases so I would recommend them.
Thanks again👍🏼
whoa, that took a minute to process, but once you get your eye in it's very simple and very clever. now i need to do this on £60 a sheet marine ply with no mistakes........
Yeah it’s quite simple just hard to get it across in a video😆 well I wish you luck! I wouldn’t say it needs to be done out of marine ply if you have something a bit cheaper. I just used the cheapest ply i had because it shouldn’t get wet at all. One thing I would definitely recommend is screwing it rather than just sticking it down. I left my van parked in the sun one day, opened the back and they had lifted up😆
Cant believe how many dog- sh vids i had to watch till i found this. Will take a minute to worl out wth is happening but i know this is whats up. Thx and hope you get more views in future because this is top-tier
Thanks a lot!😁
brilliant well done mate.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comment👍🏼
Very skillful work
Thanks a lot!!
I've got a better idea: Buy the mat (rubber or carpet) that is custom made to fit in your van. Now you have a template. It give you not only a base for all the ridiculous angles and cut outs, but you also have a nice surfact to lay over the wood after you put it in.
I get your point 100% and them rubber mats are great but in terms of costs, this only cost me around £30 for the ply and that’s all I really needed. After the video I also got an off cut of carpet and fitted that on top.
You also have a great approach sir and your video was awesome! @@mwjoinery
Appreciate it👍🏼 and thanks for your first suggestion as well. Always open to any criticism/ suggestions😁
Pure Brilliant 👏
Thanks a lot! Appreciate the comment😁
You deserve it. I had never heard of a tick stick till this video. You made a hard job easy. I have watched tones of videos of guys taking each measurement and writing them down then going to the work peace. Nice work, bud.
Thanks again!😁👍🏼
Top job
Thank you!😄
Coming from a bad boy carpenter like myself I can see your also a bad boy carpenter 👌🏼
Thank you😄👍🏼
I was looking at doing my lwb connect but don't think I will now not got half them tools didn't realise there was this much involved.
Thanks for watching! Yeah in all fairness it is a bit of a tricky task. It’s definitely doable with more basic tools but if you aren’t 100% confident doing them i think you can buy pre cut ones on ebay for that type of van👍🏼
Cool
Thank you👍🏼
This is commonly referred to as the "tick stick method"
It is indeed👍🏼 Thank you for watching!
Hi there, what did you use to glue the wood flooring onto the floor of the van?
Hi, It was just some all purpose adhesive. I would definitely recommend you to screw it down if possible rather than using the adhesive. Thank you for watching😄
pucker job .... new sub here
Thank you! I have plenty of new videos planned for the near future!👍🏼
@@mwjoinery super your doing some great content need more 👌
Bro what hole saw are you using? My ones like takinng my wrist with them
It’s actually an unbranded one i found in the garage what is probably as old as me!😆 just don’t apply much pressure and keep your drill on the slowest setting!👍🏼
@@mwjoinery 🤔 Nooice! Will try that
what glue are you using ?
Hi, sorry for the slow reply. I just used some multi purpose adhesive because it was a fairly new van so didn’t want to be screwing through the floor. I would say it would be better to screw it though looking back now. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the Reply will screw it @@mwjoinery
No worries😁👍🏼
Where are you based? Can you do my van please :-D
Hi, I’m based in yorkshire. I’m sorry but I haven’t got time at the minute to take on any side jobs. If you have a search on ebay you can get some decent pre cut sheets to fit your van and they was fairly cheap when i last looked mate👍🏼
Another instructional video with stupid music to distract.
Seriously with this music...🤮
