Crown looking good my guy! I’m 8 months in and definitely loving this journey. I’m really digging where my hair is right now on, some nice Congos forming, most of my hair is mature, and it’s definitely got a unique feel to it. Keep it up bro 🤙🏾

Do u separate some of your congos?
I’m about 7 ish months in on my journey and having similar experiences with my crown. I have the same hair type as well. Definitely gotta be patient. I’ve noticed towel rubs here and there help tighten things up. I don’t do jt too often. Keep at it tho bro!
The only thing about the towel is the excessive drying and lint, personally i lather my hair and do circular motions around my crown to tighten my forming congos etc up. Respects tho im only 4 approaching 5 months in
@@Loc6aby yea, you make great points. I stopped with the towel and do exactly what you mentioned. Usually in the shower after a wash. I’m a year in now. Keep going on your journey bro!

ur locs look so nice bro to the point where it scares me that im six months on my journey and the ones on the side of my head look like they have no hair behind them and massive balls at the tips

My Problem Area is the crown and front area of the crown (seems to be a weak area and it gets oily af with much build up) . It’s all maturing well but it’s just that the top isn’t as full as the rest of the way around. I have plenty congos going on (some triples and quads showing up with plenty of doubles) but I just wish the crown was a full as the rest of it. I don’t plan on separating until after the first year or way later.
same here, my front is weak too. the locs there are thin compared to the rest .
I'm also 6months in with my manipulated hair. I couldn't deal with all the dandruff so I would wash my hair like twice a week since march and I'm still surprised I have a congo or two. When it hits a year ima shave my head and start brand new.
If this is where you’re at after 6 month then I know I was approaching this wrong my 1st year. I wasn’t freeforming from the start but when I did start I stopped using so much product and my crown is recovering

I started my own journey January 1 from bald and it's 7 months now....it hasn't fully formed the locks though but I can feel some locks down my hair. i guess I'll start to see changes at 9 months or a year

same here, my locks have just began to form but the shrinkage is huge, seems like they are not growing at all
@@iankabaka6529 same here....i started to notice the locks already but my issue now is that they are tiny curly locks....they aint thick/big but tiny...kinda spiral look. If I draw it, it stretches out, if I leave it, It returns back to being spiral.

@@70MMY0L1V3R are they clumping together or are they just thin evenly, for me i have a certain portion that has clumped together but another part is thin, some locks are beginning to join forming thicker ones

@@itsrye going in circle help alot when just starting and you can wash your hair 1or twice a week I washed mine twice a week but now my starting to get thick so it take along time to dry so now I do once but if you wash your 2 times a week do it two days apart I used to wash my hair garbage so I never forget (witch is Tuesday and Friday where I'm at)
