I have a question. I don't know if you'll see this but what causes hair to change to brownish color? I've realized that as my locs nature, they stop having the usual black color
Leave them freeform as is that’s the point of free forming I’m 15 months in my journey. I make my own hair products. Soap wise I use some sort of Castile or clarifying soap. I do herbal rinses with different herbs I boil it helps me with dandruff and overall strength/health. I also put fresh aloe/cactus gel in let it sit for like 30-60 minutes and then rinse it real good as a natural moisturizer/conditioner. Then acv rinse every few months. I don’t oil my scalp. Sometimes spray hair with aloe/essential oils but only as needed. Keep routine simple and minimal.

The sun mostly but also chemicals in the water or if you use certain products can cause it too
It's called sun kiss. I spend a lot of time in the sun, so the new color is spreading pretty fast.
