Some people think the length of the loc equates to the length of their hair when combed out. Also if you’ve combined locs & cut ends off you will experience much shorter hair when loc is undone, be prepared for uneven patchy length that will need tlc. I have interlocks and have combed out 3/4 locs in my 1st year it was a beast of a task & I would not do it again took far too long. Good luck with finishing your hair & the new journey 👍🏾🇬🇧
Tbh I’ve seen people with thicker locs comb out their locs and their hair is actually longer than the loc . I think us with the skinny locs are the ones that don’t retain as much length
I just finish combing out my locs I didn't use any leave in just dry picked, and I used an meta ring off an keychain it basically just unraveled I only had an small paper bag of hair that I lost..I think y'all losing all y'all hair cuz y'all tugging with em combs put that thang down..my locs reached my shoulder when my hair stretch it touches the tip of my rib cage..my hair most def longer than my locs appeared.. I only wear my fro or mini twist tho..best wishes to you on your new hair journey🥰
This is crazy relatable! Omg, everything you’re saying. I’m combing out a few a day as well! I’ve only taken about 8 and I’ve ruined two combs and the amount of build up was insane. I was shocked at the amount of build up fore I do acv rinses as well! I’m combing mine out bc I want to start over but I can say getting rid of the dead weight and build up feels so much better physically and energetically! Thanks for sharing 🫶🏾
Loved this points and I admit I’ve never thought about the inconvenience when combining out locs. I’ll be definitely going with the cutting it off method…🤣 Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
Baby I got down to my last 2 locs and I cut in the middle or what I believed to be the middle of the buildup like it literally takes an hour to get through buildup like the root Omg
How do you feel betrayed? Who promised you easier hair to deal with? There are drawbacks to any decision you make no matter what path you choose. Having loose hair presents its own set of challenges and will require you to fiddle with it constantly. And if you wear a "protective" style you're protecting it against the things you were spared from when it was loc-ed!
You had me laughing at 4:15. I Know about them Broke Rat tail combs...lol Thanks for Sharing. I Said if I ever cut my Locs I am going to cut it all off. I would wear a Low fade.
It looks like you tore/snatched out your dreads tbh I did that my first time combing or should I say (picking) out my hair smh last time I used a actually thin comb and took my time just with a few dreads and keept mostly all hair from that dread you couldn't tell I combed those out same length and texture as the rest after few months
Mmmmmm no. First and foremost everybody didn’t lock their hair the same way. I combed my locs out and my hair was soooo long compared to the length of my locs. Also the hair that came out was already hair the fell out over the years.
I feel so bad that you’re complaining 😂💔, because I just combed out some of my ends because they were locing up. Took me two days with breaks in between
Are you going to be a loose natural for a while before you lock back up? I'm on my first set, the lint is a annoying, but happy with them so far, ready for more hang time...
I have my new set installed now and was only loose natural for about 2 weeks, was not enjoyable cause being a loose natural is a lot! this time round I will definately be more cautious of lint.

yesss, the locs I cut to combine were definately shorter. I ended up cutting quite a lot to make it all even. loving my second journey so far!
Day 4, I’ve been taking out about 8-10 a day. I’m so tired of this. And I’ve broken 3 combs already. My scalp/ head is sore from all the tugging.

I always used a metal fingernail file that has the dull pointed end. It still takes a while but it was a lot easier than using a comb.

I combed mine out as well! Made a video in fact. Conditioner and warm water helps sooo much

haha! girl, I'm not going to go through this process ever again!!

I have close to 200 locs don’t use conditioner use just water

Do you have Any Regrets Not having Locs Now?

82-61=21
21 is a really close number to how many you have left to take out in this video 22. Do these numbers make sense lol?
Why not just combine ??
ehhh, I just wanted a fresh start. to combine them the way I wanted would need a lot of reconstruction that I couldnt do myself.
Just use water makes it easier don’t cut them off it’s really not that hard
