You are so welcome, thank you for watching! ♥️
Very useful information Jen, thank you! The information about 'bloomed gold' makes some pieces I have seen, that had confused me, now make sense. And great visuals, love the comparison of GF, RG, gilt etc.... I took some screenshots for my future reference, thank you so much for what you do for the jewellery community! 💖
You are so welcome, I'm glad it was useful! 💖
Hello Jen and everyone ❤
Really great info this week Jen! Thanks so much! ❤️
🥰 Thank you so much!! 😘
Thank you so much Jen! Your videos are the best tutorials online. Couldn’t you do one on Berlin Iron?
Hi Jane, Thank you so much for your kind words! Great topic suggestion! I will include Berlin Iron in an upcoming Georgian Jewelry video ❤

B & C
That Skythian harness is made roughly 2500 years ago, so 500 BC. Iron Age.
Yes, you are correct! Typo on my part 😅
Is there a gold with greenish tint?
Yes, there sure is! “Green gold” and I have an example on the Arts $ Crafts period slide (it’s set with a single green tourmaline 💚)
I'm assuming all.those early gold pieces were not marked ..
You are correct - Edward I was the first the introduce a hallmarking statute in 1300, requiring silver to be tested and marked. I’ll cover the fascinating history of hallmarking in an upcoming brunch 😘
I heard if you rub your piece on white chalk and it turns grey it could be gold or silver.....??
Interesting, I’ve never heard this before! I’ll look into it 🤔😘
