    Appreciate the review Nick!
Kindly noting: the sheath you have is the Multitool Push Up (MPU) + XL light for standard tools like a Wave/Charge and 1 inch in diameter lights. We do have two light sizes for this model.
The Big Boy, also available in both .91 and 1 inch light sizes, holds larger tools such as a Surge or MP600. All handcrafted in the USA!

  • @dtom420
    @dtom420 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Not my cup of tea. My belt carries a pistol most of the time and that’s more than enough. My knives have “pocket clips” so they go in pockets. Same with flashlights. Same with a multi tool, IF I carry one. I tried to like them but every vehicle we own has a tool kit in it so I have no use for a multi tool - their tools are sub-par in comparison to the actual, real tool. So, it’s just easier for me to go grab the proper tool.
The quality of that leather work is “meh,” at BEST. So I’d buy something like that from a better leather worker. I’ve found just about ANY belt carrier to be much improved with canted belt slots; which make removing tools or knives much easier as a result of improved ergonomics.
    Great review as always Nick!

I’m both, and I can say with 100 percent certainty that if you are a tradesman (finish carpenter here) this is an integral part of my edc. I have one with a pen slot in chestnut brown and it fits my leatherman free p4, tactile turn medium bolt, and Rey light LAN perfectly, and it’s super comfortable for me. Much better than carrying all of that in my pockets.

Other companies make them cheaper by using a different leather. The leather they use is very thin. Usually its called crazy horse, or saddle leather, or oiled leather when you look on Amazon.
ToK, at least from what I know, uses full grain leather. Which is thicker, and the patina looks far nicer than what you get from the other folks.
Plus the cheap stuff doesnt even have a nice leather smell for a time.

    Dork here.
I have worn a similar pouch from another vendor for years. Dunno how long. Since well before COVID. I wear it every day, all day, casually and at work. My work is in an office building. We dress business casual at work, except for board meetings and special events, for which we wear suits and ties. Regardless, my pouch is always on me.
We regularly receive visits from the governor, our US representatives, and such. For those not familiar, these people have security details. Their security people never noticed my pouch. I have never had anyone notice my pouch in public, and yes, mine is larger. My pouch is part of my person, like my thumb or my knee. I wear the pouch unobtrusively, like my shoes or my shirt. My pouch does not stick out. I can lay down on the floor and roll around with the pouch, without discomfort.
I expected the leather of the pouch to wear quickly, but it has only developed form and a patina. It looks great, after years of use.
Tale of knives would have a high bar to beat.

I run a community centre, so I always have to fix things in our dilapidated building and I was really interested in one of these, until I tried a sling bag.
I've got most of the crap out of my pockets, all my stuff on my body when I want it, then when I have to meet the mayor I can just take it off and not look like a crazy person.
I'm fully converted to small sling bags for my gear.

I got a left side carry t tux without keypster and with the double clip not belt loops the leather will confirm to your waist shape over a couple weeks just proof of quality of leather I added in the notes that I wanted to fit a 1 in flashlight and they did so at no extra cost. One thing I would advise to anyone reading this is size up for for whatever flashlight your getting..great product wear it everyday as iam In the trades

I think this EDC tool holster is really cool and I like it but it's overpriced by a lot I occasionally carry a 1911 with two extra magazines and I use a 1791 Gun Leather holster and mag pouches The holster is $50 and the mag pouch is $35 and they are made out of American leather in America and they still come in cheaper than this tool pouch so like I said I think it's really cool but it's not worth the price.

Love your reviews, humor, and great content. I will say that as a Tale of Knives fan -- and EDC aficionado -- I'm guessing most guys who're packing a full-sized Leatherman, EDC flashlight and pen on their person aren't worried about booking a flight to Paris Fashion Week. Also -- just a note that's not responsive to your comments -- these are handcrafted and stitched using traditional leatherworking techniques (e.g., "saddle stitch") which is way more durable than the machine-stitched knockoffs. Finally, comfort is, of course, subjective, but there's a lot of overlap in the EDC community with guys who also conceal-carry, and this is infinitely more comfortable on the hip than any firearm. I routinely forget it's on my hip. Thanks for all you do, Nick, and happy holidays/New Year.

I used one for a while, but it started giving me lower back/ hip pain. That's too much weight on one side, unless you carry stuff on the other side of your belt to balance it out. Just a word of warning, otherwise they are great and very handy. Now I have smaller pouches spread out on both sides, no back pain
