My Sport is fantastic. The behind the edge geometry makes it very slicy. The Magnacut runs at 63-64 Rockwell. I sharpened mine at 17 degrees per side on a Wicked Edge sharpening system and love that long lasting edge.
I too wince at the 'preachy T' on UltiClips. Reminds me of Spartacus' suffering on the Appian Way. That said, I haven't found a better solution for many of the smaller fixed blades with kydex sheaths in my collection.
TJ in fact WAS the designer of the Arius. He had a really nice little home machine shop that he makes these out of. The overland and sport model both have been on my list for a while. I like the look of the sport more but the size of the bigger one is ideal for me. I’m just going to have to buy both lol.
People started throwing out “Sport” to denote “smaller” or “less significant” a lot of car makers call their base model the Sport now. Just my .02 on that. The overland full size is just the overland. I did buy one!
TJ is absolutely wonderful to work with, too. He seems to exist in a world of pure reality rather than one in which “our policy” is treated as if it were a law of physics, the latter being something I have dealt with over and over again and only seems to be getting worse.
Something about ulticlips. Is you can use them on your belt if you want I'll ad. Personally i think leather makes more sense for a pocket sheath. Idk if kydex makes as much sense.
I mean it's cool to look at the knife, but do you actually use them. How does it cut, does it cause hot spots when using it, stuff like that are important
Good review Nick. Man, I’d love a mid sized edc version. Bigger than the sport but not as big as the OG with the sport style scales. Taco kydex sheath to save on real estate. I like it a lot but one is too big & the other too small. Large hands cutting with small knives is challenging & uncomfortable. Plus I never pocket carry fixed blades. Scout carry on my waist with soft loops is the best way for me
I use flat Kydex sheaths without a clip of any kind. I put the knife and sheath in my pocket. When I want to use the knife, I take the knife and sheath out of my pocket, remove the knife from the sheath, and put the sheath back in my pocket.
Even in a modern market context, people have been carrying little EDC fixed blades for a LONG time. If you search a forum or something for the ESEE Izula you'll see people packing them back decades. It's just always been a minority preference compared to folders.
He’s back!!! Ohright

those Ulti Clips are nice. I use one on a small fixed blade in the pocket, and love it. This knife looks very interesting. Thanks, Nick!

Dcc 2.2 clip is pretty solid as well as the mummert
@@slalomnorth I'll look those up, thanks!
Nick my boy, nice to see ya man!! Love the overlands personally.
Nice fixed blade. I need more. Thanks Nick
I'm not a fixed blade guy (illegal in Spain) but I think I'd go for the bigger one. It looks very useful.
Wonderful, wonderful lil fixie
I have one of these and I love it. I found out my preferred way to carry it is with IWB loops. I can't seem to find a good position in my pocket.
Just got mine in yesterday, I love it!
Overland, still have. Overland Sport, gave to my son since do not like small knives where they can be ouch. Literally that wonderfully sharp and metal
hey i have one of those! the grind is absolutley superb!!!
Awesome little knife.
If Jschlatt and Swaggersouls had a baby with a higher pitched voice, Shabazzy would be the outcome.

T6 bit man himself!
I finally pulled the trigger on one of these. This video was making me drool. He just needs to add a couple more colors of micarta.
I just did the same and also wanted a different micarta but I'll take the green. Looking forward to holding this little beaut.
Just bought this knife today.
my dad introduced me to mad magazine as a kid I loved the reference
It’s a perfect neck knife.
still the best. thanks for the review
A good knife review from”The Nick” is a nice addition to a rainy Saturday afternoon here in the Volunteer State👍

Nick, you are the man, brother.
This is a great EDC fixed blade. I carry mine in a leather sheath that rides much lower in the pocket.
TJ is absolutely wonderful to work with, too. He seems to exist in a world of pure reality rather than one in which “our policy” is treated as if it were a law of physics, the latter being something I have dealt with over and over again and only seems to be getting worse.
Thanks, Andy. That means a lot!
omg. Everytime I think I'm satisfied with my collection.. haha this is a beautiful little knife
I like pocket fixed blades ... Might want to add that to my knife box

Love to see fixed blades!
George Castanza reviews knives. Got it.
Im getting serious deja vu here
can't stand squeaky metal complex , so i'm always happy when nick releases a new video, no matter what.

Are we allowed to call you T6 now? 😄
Ps. I could absolutely see this being my first fixed blade. Awesome review.
Taco over pancake every day and twice on Tuesday.
That would look great in my yoga pants! Can you get it with half serrations?
Random Q: Have you ever used a knife made of obsidian?

That's not necessarily a pocket sheath. You can tie it to your belt vertically.
Good thing about fixed blades is no moving parts
AKA ...
And more appropriately known as The MILLIT Aireus 👍🏻
I've wanted one of these for months. Unfortunately the "great economy" is squeezing me hard right now.
Ultimate clips are great for keeping a sheath in place, but they are a Danger to car door paint. ☠️☠️☠️
door frames, countertop corners, steering wheels, kids faces, etc... :)

Niiiiick!!!!!
Niiiiiico!
We going to see the confidant soon?!
I still think TJ Schwartz is a men's clothing store chain.
Another homerun
The man. The myth… The Legend
The Good King Shabazz posts a video? I watch. I like. I comment. I confirm the subscription bell is set to "all". Good day to you, sir!
Enough on the sheath already! There are options that don't require pocket carry, Nick.
For me, the sheath works best as IWB rather than in the pocket.
Yoga Pants
the edc fixed blade, another fad like timascus, fat carbon and jade handles

Decade of only fixed EDC. Mostly because of the size of these and the fact that flippers might sound cool but I’d rather get to business.
