- Check out how we did the Stok Kangri Expedition, the highest trekkable mountain of INDIA: Stok Kangri (6153m). This video will help people in understanding what not to do while taking up this challenge.
The shortest route to the peak is from the village of Stok; this expedition can be done in 4 days if you are already well acclimatised to the altitude.
Make sure you have established a good grip over the gear and your fitness before taking the first step forward.
Proper gear, Trekking shoes, your trekking pole, head lamp, clothes suited for the ascent are absolute must.
To face this challenge efficiently, you need to ensure you are physically fit. I was running 10 kms within one hour on a weekly basis before my Stok Kangri trek.
Before you plan please check if climbing Stok is allowed or not.
In December 2019, the All Ladakh Tour Operators Association announced that Stok Kangri is closed for trekking and climbing from 2020 to 2023, due to over-tourism.
If and when you do, bring your waste back with yourself.
Happy Climbing!
Hope you all enjoy it and share with your fellow trekkers.

Which year ka video hai?? Stok kangri not open right now
Is this trek open? How did you make your journey on 2023?
Awesome man gr8 video.. can you share your guide details
Thank you so much! For sure, his real name is Stanzing- 9682305087, & 9469215001 . You will have to call him several times and may be leave a text, the connectivity in Ladakh is not the best and he is constantly taking people to remote places and may not be in a network area that often. You are going to love exploring Ladakh with him. Good luck!
I think the yoga and pranayam has helped you
Wonderful bro❤️..I have ridden motorbike from Manali Leh Manali...and now after this video I think a trecking should be done to Stok Kangri soon❤️.. kindly tell the entire expenses brother ❤️👍👍 you got a new subscriber 👍❤️🙏best of luck for the upcoming Adventurers bro❤️🔥👍👍
Thank you bro! you totally should do Stok, just check with the locals before you go to Ladakh. total per person expense was about 20K INR give or take 1K. If you do it with a bigger group, you can bring the expenses down to even 14K. All the best to you too.
@@traceurkeshav thanks a lot brother ❤️❤️.... kindly keep making videos 🔥🔥👍 outstanding efforts ❤️❤️ very creative contents 👍👍
That would not be fun, open glacial crap @ -15C 😅I attempted it in 2018, but did not get past base camp due to heavy snow. It would appear many people come unprepared! Hopefully it will be open soon and more care will be taken to preserve the environment. Kang Yatse 2 is slightly higher than Stok Kangri and is classified as a "trekking" peak.
Noted the Kang Yatse 2 remark, I will check that and the fun is subjective. Some of us find this fun..
Hey that was a great vlog. I had read that Stok Kangri was closed due to some ecological reasons and I was surprised to see this vlog in 2022. Could you please tell us how you planned this trek and through which trekking company? I'd appreciate if you could share some information.
Hey Karan! Thank you! We did this in 2017. I read the same about 2022, you need to check with the locals again before you plan. I did not plan it through any trekking company but I reached out to a guide on my own and planned the whole thing with him. You can contact him too, his name is Stanzing and his mobile numbers are 9682305087, & 9469215001. You may have to leave a text or call him a few times to finally connect with him because of the nature of his job and the not so good network of Ladakh. All the best !
@@traceurkeshav Thanks a lot. This helps 👍
wonderful..... in which year and on which date ...you've done this expedition ?
Thank you! We did this in Aug 2017.
Can bignner can go witha expedition package pov: physical n mentally prepared
Preparation is a must, you should not go there without proper preparation and acclimatisation. I am a very active person and do at-least one workout every day still I suffered a lot without acclimatisation. Once you are prepared, booking an expedition with an agency or a local guide should be considered. I have also heard that Stok climbing was restricted in the last few years, please check in with local agencies around April , May for the 2024 climbing season.
Stok kangri summit was banned for trekkers since 2020, right? Is this video older.
yes sir! it is indeed older, we did this in 2017. keep an eye out for this year though.
Well done guys....plz suggest any contacts whome I can get in touch to arrange a trip, I would highly appreciate it...Thank you....
Sure! you can get in touch with Chota Akshay 96823 05087. he is an amazing guide and a wonderful cook as well.
@@traceurkeshav thank you so much....👌👌👌
Nice vlog. How much did it cost from Airport to Airport?
Around 25 k per person
Thank you!
What month are you going?
This was in September
This trek route open now or banned??
I heard they don’t allow trekking on Stok Kangri anymore, it would be worthwhile to check it with the locals once. In any case the trekking window is between July and Oct.. I would recommend checking it around April, May..
Whom to contact for this trek? Any contact number?
is stok kangri open now?
not right now but it opens in August September. You could check with a local guide, it you want I can eve share their contact information.
@@traceurkeshav Can you share the contact number i am planning to go
Yes please share. I'll be in leh in September
easy hai ..solo hi ho jayega ye toh
It is indeed, if you are well prepared
