Congratulations! Amazing footage from an amazing mountain. One of the best I've seen from Ama Dablam. The climbing parts up to camp 2 is sooo much fun. :D
Thank you! Appreciate it The climb to camp 2 is really awesome indeed. But I would actually say that the climb from C2 to C3 was the best and most thrilling
Drone flying look at the facade of yellow tower, and flying over the camp2, climber cross over the washroom....all looks so shock and greatly, 4K clearly footage and music also so super and professional. :}
I've climbed similar heights, but those camp 2 tents look farking gnarly. Some huge winds and snow storms and everyone would be blown off the mountain. That is some crazy stuff. Great video. Liked and subscribed
Major hats off to whoever discovered/pioneered/led that route and set up those anchors and ropes. But even with fixed ropes, it looks daunting, so hats off to those who dared to climb it as well.
@@markboelskifte Couple of questions if you don't mind: How old was your father at this time? Base camp had many structures, but it looked like you had the mountain to yourselves. And did you have any bad weather days?
Congrats mate! Great film. I remember being mesmerised by AD when trekking to EBC back in 2019 and questioning how people even scale it. Been wanting to climb it ever since. Hoping to give it a crack later this year! Look forward to the future climbs.
Congratulations! It's a very good compilation, it reflects the atmosphere of climbing and the challenges. The sunrise of the summit attack has a strong spiritual content for me. The pictures are beautiful and the background music is very good, overall the whole video is excellent!
Natural beautiful mountain views really great thanks for sharing very informative video and excellent photography congratulations 👌👌👌 please take care of your life 🙏
Beyond incredible! Maybe is a dumb question, but how does Ama Dablam compare to K2 as far as overall difficulty and risk? Ama Dablam looks steeper to me. Anyway, great to see a fellow Dane conquer this!
But DTS ratio has little or nothing to do with technicality. At 8600 there will be a lot more complications with altitude than at 6800. Also K2 has higher avalanche risks since you are on the mountain for way longer.
Amazing footage guys, such an incredible mountain. Could you let me know how much was the expedition? Im planning to go next year so it would be pretty good to have an estimation at least. Cheers!
When school bell rangs and I reach home with my bag, I use to feel the same level of adrenaline rush n satisfaction as these climbers felt at the top of mountain! 😂
Cher Baptiste c'est pas cool...😊 Tu l'as fait au moins? Certes c'est de l'Himalayisme avec cordes fixes. Et alors? So what? Thanks for this vidéo. Dream will become reality
Congratulations on your summit!! Very well put together. Ive watched your video several times already!! I'll be attempting Ama Dablam next year myself, and am considering what guiding service to use. Did 8K do the drone footage at an additional charge for you?
Thank you! I hope you will have a great expedition! I would highly suggest 8K over the other service companies. They have much more personality and are very professional. In regard to the drone footage - I made an agreement with the team. It is not a service they provide normally 😅
Thanks! The price very much depends on where you are flying from, what time of year, how long you will be there, and how luxurious you may do it for yourself. So it is quite hard to tell the average cost
Yes that is the most common way. However, we wanted to summit from camp 3, as this would give us more energy on the summit push. It also put us in front of everyone else, so we were the first on the summit (06:13 am). Because we then had more time, we were also able to climb all the way down to base camp on the same day. People usually don’t want to camp at c3 because of the dangers of the overhanging ice serac.
The summit of Ama Dablam has temperatures varying between -20 to -30 degrees. Down in base camp, it is also cold, but if the sun is shining, it can get quite warm. The trek to base camp can be quite hot in the lower altitudes (10-20 degrees)
@@nayankar3290 I have a Kilimanjaro video yet to be edited. I’ve been busy being in the Danish military - but maybe the video will come soon. Thanks for following along tho 🤗
Well done and beautiful pictures but you never really climb , as the first climbers did on this mountain ; you just follow the ropes put in place by the real heroes of Himalaya : the Sherpas ! It's the same on all the hn peaks . If you have good legs and arms and of course enough money , you can try .It's not mountaineering anymore but commercial expeditions all inclusive !
I feel where Andre is coming from. however is when the unexpected happens that the experience of a proper alpinist will com into paly. in a perfect weather/physical condition/ knowledgable sherpas/good equipment theoretically many well acclimatized fit people could achieve an hymalaian ascent. But if any of the above changes slightly? and if your head start working against you? the mental toughness that is still required is enormous even with fixed ropes!
Brother if you think that you’re deluded. Ofc it’s not the same as back then, but to climb in the 80s 90s the death rates were insane. Someone I know just got back fro ama Dablam, just about. His Sherpa abandoned him and he almost died on the decent. These mountains are still brutal and are absolutely a mountaineering achievement to summit and make it home
I wondered how a mountain like Ama Dablam is summitted while gazing its majestic peak from a hotel in Pangboche. Congrats from Karakoram. See My EBC trekking story @Third_Polar

Ama Dablan es mucho más técnica.
K2 has a 25% death to summit ratio. Ama Dablam around 0.5%.
But DTS ratio has little or nothing to do with technicality. At 8600 there will be a lot more complications with altitude than at 6800. Also K2 has higher avalanche risks since you are on the mountain for way longer.

Do you need an extra permit to fly the drone there?
Yes. You need a permit for the whole area around these mountains
