In this video we share the list of essentials that you need to carry for the Stok Kangri trek in Leh, India.
Stok Kangri is one of the highest peak in the Stok region of Ladakh. At a height of 6153 Meters (or 20187 ft.), it offers an ultimate climbing/trekking experience. One can view a lot of high peaks (mostly 7000 Meters+) from Stok summit but the highlight is the K2 peak which is also visible on a clear day. Stok Kangri Trek does not involve a technical climb but it requires a good fitness level. Wanderers team ensures highest safety standards for all the trekkers and also do multiple briefing sessions for the trekkers attempting Stok Kangri.

Things to Carry for Stok Kangri is given below;
1 Nos. - Backpack (65 to 70L) with sturdy frame and water proof sack cover
1 Nos. - Day pack (8 - 10 L) Its a must of the summit day
1 Nos. - Trekking shoes (water resistant and high ankle)
1 Nos. - Summit Day shoes need to be hired. Check with your trek operator.
2 Pairs - Trekking pants - quick dry/ basic tracks
1/2 Pairs - Trekking pants - water proof/ wind resistant and thick
1 Pair - Fleece lined wind stoppers
2 sets - Upper and lower thermals (base layers not too heavy)
3 pairs - T-shirts quick dry half sleeves
3 pairs - T-shirts quick dry full sleeves
2 pairs - Fleece upper
1 Nos. - Full sleeve thick jacket, water proof/ wind proof
6 to 8 pairs - Undergarments
5 to 6 pairs - Cotton towel full length socks
2 pairs - Woolen socks for keeping your feet warm at the camps and during night
1 Pair - Flip flops/ sandals with a good grip - suggested to carry
1 Pair - Water proof/ resistant gloves with inner lining
1 Nos. - Sun cap
I Nos. - Woolen cap/ balaclava/ monkey cap
1 Nos. - Woolen scarf or muffler
2 Bottles - 1 litre trekking bottle (one thermostat Milton bottle at least)
1/2 Poles - Trekking pole
Sun glasses - curved ones will cover your eyes well. Avoid blue coloured sunglases as they don't block UV rays that well. Having mentioned that, category 4 graded any colored glases should be fine 1 Pair
Light towel, quick dry ones
LED head torch with extra pair of Duracells
Lip balm and vaseline petroleum jelly 1 each
1 Tube: Cold cream and Sun screen lotion (SPF 40+)
1 box: Anti-fungal powder
Personal toilet kit (minimal), sanitizer, small mirror as per personal choice
