    I used to work for an Indian bank and my life was hell. I don’t know how I survived that pressure and anxiety. I have seen one colleague have a heart attack in office and pass away. There was always threat of transfer to bad locations and me being a woman it was concerning. We used to leave office at 9 daily and no one bothered if as a woman I’m reaching safe or not. In one year March they told us forget your family come to office everyday even Sunday because bank is most important, it was that day I submitted my resignation. It was a risk I took, I had no offer at hand. I moved to Canada and now work at a bank which is a global bank bigger than HDFC or SBI. My job is fully remote, my hours are 8-4pm. Today I was online till 5 my manager was asking me to log off or she’ll be in trouble 😅. My request to all is please don’t tolerate It’s okay to quit, your health comes first. Job will come and go.

    Post my two covid infections (second one was a bit serious), i find that i dont have the stamina to keep working for 12-16 hours as i did previously.. I am a 32 year old Ortho surgeon.. I used to pull 48 hour shifts without any major problems, but nowadays, even a 24 hour shift is pure torture, and i frequently get sick.. My stamina has also come down.. Used to run 5km, now tired after 1km..
    I think Covid has drained the vitality of our youth.. If companies keep pushing them like they did in the past, we may see several more deaths.

      My friend is a grade A(IRS) and his wife is grade B(ITI) both of them grind for 12-14 hours daily, I work in SBI and Grind for 12 hours daily.
      All beacuse of chaiwala and his policies, beacuse before 2014 we all had an okish workload, went to office daily and return on time, staff strength was adequate but now our strength is only 1/3rd of 2014, he made department heads to fire contractual basis staff like cashier, peon, messengers, guards, janitors.
      That illiterate reduced clerical staff so much that now there are 1.5 times the officer strength which is pretty stupid as recently said by JP Morgan that Indian banks is suffering from lesser clerical staff than managers
      Vacancies nikaal nahi rahe , chahe woh bank ho ya nagar nigam.
      Officers nahi toh kam se kam clerical staff toh complete karo kam se kam.

      HR person is a sellout. Just a stooge who pleases top management. I worked in that pathetic field for many years. The MNC I had worked for said it is only a 9-5 job, but I was engaged from morning 8am to 9pm night. And even after office phone calls lasted till 10 pm. There was no Saturdays off, and even on Sunday I was made to do work from home. The workload actually needed 2-3 persons in my job role, but the modern corporate strategy of giving additional responsibilities on 1 person to avoid hiring another will drive most people like me nuts. The top management is not bothered and only cares about cost cutting and they know if one person quits, there will be another one with equal CV's in this overpopulated country and desperate market. I drew the line when they put additional responsibility on me for handling office functions of another location, as if current one was not enough, and surprise - no additional pay or perks. I was fed up and fortunately I resigned and got my life back.

They will start tallying at 4:15 and end it in 4:45. They all leave the bank together at 5:00 pm. The principal was an evil man who took away chairs from the class so that teachers can't sit while taking the class. At the end of the day my back used to hurt like hell...even after the
    dispersal of students he used to make us to do work that is not required at the present moment. After returning from school I had to check bundles of copies, prepare lessons for the next day, also had to update daily class activities in the school app etc. Since schools start early morning, I was unable to take proper sleep which led to migraine and eye problems. Decided to leave my job for the sake of my health and mental peace. I really don't know why employers forget that we are humans not machines.

Not thinking about practical possibilities and like stuffing the food onto mouth in a kid similarly stuffing the same with employees.

    If the work in HDFC can cause death ....
    How many people have reasined after realising the fact they can die of work stress ?
    How many people belong to a family who loves money lesser than their family maember earning from HDFC ?
    How many people feel that earning money from HDFC is more important than their life and they are ready to die earning money via HDFC?
    Why cant people who think they has tiny bit of brain to stay alive and earn from any org or in worst case being a maid, rather than die working as a employee of HDFC?
    I keep thinking why people get attracted to things that they dont want.

      @mathangikarthikeyan5292 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That I won't agree .
      It's not about population sir
      It's about how you distribute the work among the employees .
      Highest population in the world is China have a analytical look of work culture over there.
      Employ more skilled works instead of 1 doing 3 people work share the work to all 3 people let them also contribute they are also a part of this work place right not an outsider .
      Same way why blaming one people when the work isn't accomplished.
      Over all planning is the very sucess to good management

    • @madhavi19june
      @madhavi19june 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      So by that logic, we also have more people to employ and distribute work. Instead of hiring one employee and get him to work for 20 hours ,why not employ 4 people for 5 hours each. Atleast 4 people will get jobs and can run their household, plus they will have work life balance, the stress and work will be distributed.

    I sympathise with this girl and her family.
    But I don't know what is happening with these youngsters. Stress and work pressure , conflicts , part of professional life. That should toughen us not take away our Life.
    Students should read biographies, should know what it takes to achieve.
    Time -one should welcome with curiosity and accept it as challenge. Tough job will not kill anybody in civilian duty, only on borders soldiers die.
    Maximum risk is you may have to quit that's all. That is not end of world!!
    Greed, competition and rivalry part of professional life.
    Commit yourself to a bigger cause, See your death everyday, your time and yourself becomes very precious and nothing will let you down!
    When supporting pillars like family members- parents, spouse, sometime siblings, kids is not supportive during your tough time (exception being their own medical conditions) then it adds to your problems, then take a look at your stupid decision of staying back with such family members!!
    Don't take away your life!!
