I love the fact that you always mention the SPR and it's relation to sizing. I forget, or will act too fast and be off, too often. Watching you has drummed it into my brain. Those small errors from thinking too fast really add up. Awesome content as always.
I also struggle with acting too fast, it's tough to slow down sometimes. SPR is a really nice one, I don't have to think about bet sizing a lot, and won't give off any bet sizing tells
Best poker vlog on TH-cam, hands down! I eagerly await each video, insane how you have one almost every day, must be a lot of work dude.... we appreciate it!
Pleasure meeting you at Peaks. I introduced myself when you were at the cage buying in before the live stream. I had mentioned I hope you continue with the indepth analysis, maybe at the end of the video so as to not piss off those that aren't interested. It's been enjoyable watching your journey.
just came across your content and within 3 hands it's so clear that you play infinitely better than nearly any other vlogger i've seen haha. subbed and glglgl!
Great video. I was the guy playing that pulled off the KJ off suit bluff after the stream. Was a fun time playing with you. Hope to see you down the road.
I’ve been watching for a while now, I can safely say, watching your videos has made me more profitable. The decisions I make are more sound, and I’ve been studying pre flop ranges which have been so crucial in my win rate. Also, having a decent bankroll makes me more confident in my decisions as well. Even if I start out a session down 300$, I’m never discouraged and I don’t get tilted. I can usually climb back out of it and book a win too! Also Lfg 39 min video hyyyype
Great mental game. It's tough for me to play my best when I'm in my 3rd bullet. Nice comeback 👍 Also, insane bluff w that queen high, holy shit. "I want to pressure an ace", LOL, no one is folding an ace at my local 1/3. Very nice play
Absolutely sick bluff against the A2d. I always think about making that move but I never feel like I can get an ace to fold in that scenario. You have excellent reads.
hey man, been watching for a while and just wanna say some of the most impressive progress i’ve seen in this span of time as a poker player AND a vlogger. Vid quality and content is great, love the aggression!
Hey Sam, now that you have concluded your US tour. Would love to hear where you would play professionally if you were to do it in the US. I know you ran super hot in Dallas, how much easier is that game than Vegas? What about game availability (I assume more games & wider players pool in Vegas)? Would be great to hear about other factors (ie. lifestyle)
On the QJ hand, what would your strategy from villains perspective on calling down? Is it too tight to only call with full houses there? Villain could have AK, A8, 88, A5, and fold everything else? Better to have AQ there? Although Qx would block the bluffs villain would want you to have, vs A2 etc
Vs 95% of opponent's I'd just snap muck it. If I had to call down though, I'd have a lot of full houses in my River range. I don't have many raises facing that Flop and turn action. I'm not sure about MDF, I never use it.
Wow that QJo bluff was pretty insane, takes some serious balls, although tbh probably a bit of a torch blocking the Jd and also needing to get a fold like 75% of the time is kinda rough, but now youre for sure gonna get paid in the future when you actually have it!
Man your editing has really improved in quality. The music the vibe. Definitely improving! One thing that is annoying is how dark your camera is. Can’t see much. Also that bluff with the QJo hand was SICK.
On that AJ hand early on where you made the straight, why did you go all in when you said you felt he had a whole lotta nothing? Wouldn't the play be to check and give him an opportunity to bluff, especially since you both checked the turn? Did I miss something there?
Probably misplayed it, but I will have a huge amount of bluffs on that River, I'd probably call any two vs that raise just because it makes so little sense, so having some value in with a ton of bluffs was what I was thinking in the moment
What's your thought process around how often you buy back in. Sounds like you bought in around 4 times at 1/2 and on the stream. Do you just limit it by how much money you bring?
The 1/2 was $500 max and I was whaling about. I don't have a limit anymore, I used to stop at 3 buyins (900bbs) but now I just keep on going as long as I'm playing well
In that spot I'd be shipping an absolute ton of bluffs, so had to have some nuts there as well, at that point though I don't think a single $ more is going into that pot
@@BluffaloSam My point is that your play is completely counterintuitive to your read. Yes, you should be bluffing there sometimes if you think he actually had a hand like 2 pair or sets. But you started off playing the hand with the read he was full of it the entire time and you thought he still had air on the river (he is very unlikely to have a J when checking the turn). While it is most likely no more money goes into the pot there, you guarantee 0 more dollars going all in there by shipping while there is a non 0 chance he spazz rips when you check or block bet river.
For the livestream I just watch it back, and I don't have any trouble remembering why I played a hand a certain way. Otherwise I'll just note down the action for off stream hands
honestly after seeing the hands the other people were playing, it is insane that they are even playing these stakes. like printing money play these buffoons.
Naw, it's a livestream. Incentived to play loose. You don't really see these hands shown down in your casino game, but people are probably still playing them! For a lot of the 2nd session the Nit game was on as well
Sam, your poker mind is beautiful lol, I can pause the video when a card hits and have very similar thought processes. I enjoy seeing nut-nada or middling pairs float raises. You sniffed out your opponent- like is he raising trip K’s there?! Merry Xmas
I’m far from being a pro but it seems like you pay off people a little too much.Seem to frequently put your opponent on a bluff. However, you are a great player and I wouldn’t won’t to be at the same table .
Bluffalo Sam gets raised “I really don’t think he has anything” on repeat. How do you know? Intuition? Edit- never mind I see the hand where you called down when he had AK, you just like to call down.
A lot of them are due to board texture, and getting reads on what your opponent did from previous hands. But a 4b pot AKQ and you get raised just feels very bluffy
SAM PLEASE SHAVE THAT CRAZY FLUFF OFF YOUR FACE THE MOUSTACHE NEEDS TO GO HONESTLY YOU SUIT NOT HAVING ONE BUT BESIDES THAT Great content and definitely keep posting it's thoroughly enjoyable to watch

Please Please continue these vlogs. I’ve been watching tons of vlogs for the past 5 years and this is by far the best and most informational
Thank you
Absolutely:))
Great quality, love your work buddy..keep it up.
You’re really good man.
I fricken love it when u pick off bluffs and are correct about your reads. Thanks for the upload streak.
Not always correct, but being sticky makes you a lot harder to play against
QJ's hand is crazy. This why I like higher limit games; at a 1/2- 1/3, that would have been snapped called.
Best poker vlog on TH-cam, hands down! I eagerly await each video, insane how you have one almost every day, must be a lot of work dude.... we appreciate it!
Thanks a lot fella :) it's going down to 1x/week in the new year, with more emphasis on longer, better quality videos
first time on channel, rly love how relatable this is and great for helping me see thought process :)
That QJ bluff was an amazing play
The runner runner flush versus ur wheel… ouch. Bad players getting bailed out is the most tilting!
Nah, wasn't tilting at all, we all had a laugh! Can't be upset over things like that
You know you are a good poker player when you get sucked out on a lot to lose hands.
Much more tilting to put money in a pot bad and lose.
Subscribed! Only watched 2 of your videos (1st and this) Amazing how fast your bankroll grew! Very inspiring!

Damn! That was insane my man, well played, it was a great game :)
way to battle through, love the grit!!
Dangerous session.....very tough, hard going....
really enjoy your vlogs and predict subscribers be huge this time next year!

By the end of 2024 you’ll have at least 25k subscribers. Make my words!
What a great video, serious effort to edit and incredible commentary! What more can you ask from a poker vlog?
One of the best contents ive seen after mariano
Qj hand is insane kudos on that one it is really hard for him to call with just trips
I can’t believe you got that bluff through when the guy folded trip aces. WILD
That one was nuts hahaha I did think he had an Ace, but I didn't think he would call
Great mental game. It's tough for me to play my best when I'm in my 3rd bullet. Nice comeback 👍
Also, insane bluff w that queen high, holy shit. "I want to pressure an ace", LOL, no one is folding an ace at my local 1/3. Very nice play
Yeah, dropping a few buyins early is never fun, but match the stack let's you get back in the game!
Yeah, probably not a 1/3 play 150bbs deep 😂
Absolutely sick bluff against the A2d. I always think about making that move but I never feel like I can get an ace to fold in that scenario. You have excellent reads.
Very tough to do when shallow, also gotta pick your spots
That qj bluff was so sickkkkk

It seems like you have really good poker instincts dude
Love to see the progression up in stakes, hopefully 50/100 one day!
I actually just played my first 25/50 a couple days ago, I'd love to play even higher in the future!
He will never make it to those stakes unless he plays like a man and not a little gto bitch bot
The line to get into that game must have been around the block . Fish city 😂
Maybe complaining about my downswing to you about you stating you are on a downswing will help with my downswing. Cheers to you man, happy new year!
You got this!! I just came out of mine!
Great 😂

He’s a bluffalo soldier hahahaha. You have to play that song during your big bluffs. On a video..or two
I'll also get a sponsorship from Bluffalo Trace, and the Bluffalo Bill's!
Wow that QJo bluff was pretty insane, takes some serious balls, although tbh probably a bit of a torch blocking the Jd and also needing to get a fold like 75% of the time is kinda rough, but now youre for sure gonna get paid in the future when you actually have it!
I wasn't gonna bluff hearts. But I also just didn't think he was gonna call an ace
Man your editing has really improved in quality. The music the vibe. Definitely improving!
One thing that is annoying is how dark your camera is. Can’t see much.
Also that bluff with the QJo hand was SICK.
I can turn it up, the gain is set quite low. But thanks a lot, I'm enjoying learning new tricks to film/edit vids!
I had to run it back with that QJ hand!
That was a good one!

how did you get so good at hand break downs i wanna learn from you out of anyone else on the internet?
@1:20 Let's fucking go bud!
Lmao that guy with KJ is a lunatic.
Absolutely maniac, love that bluff there tbh!
"I thought he had nothing" while holding the nuts, so you decide to ship it in his face rather than giving him a chance bluff. Logic checks out.
he’s such an ass player that’s just on a heater
In that spot I'd be shipping an absolute ton of bluffs, so had to have some nuts there as well, at that point though I don't think a single $ more is going into that pot

@kevhwang yeah, made a mistake there. Didn't really know what to do on the river. I generally lean towards aggressive if I can't decide
How do you recall all the details of each hand? Do you write notes on your phone immediately? Or do you manage to get all of the action on camera?
For the livestream I just watch it back, and I don't have any trouble remembering why I played a hand a certain way. Otherwise I'll just note down the action for off stream hands
Cool! yeah should have specified off-stream
@21:13 guy was trying to do a reverse-tell to get a crying call out of you lol
Nahh as soon as he bet I announced "I fold" was just checking my cards after he said that
hugs
17:25 you only need 16% equity to make the call. That has to be a call on the turn and expect to loose all day long.
Tbh, just expected to have 0% equity 100% of the time vs that player. Kudo on him for finding that ridiculous bluff
honestly after seeing the hands the other people were playing, it is insane that they are even playing these stakes. like printing money play these buffoons.

You nit roll with set of 4’s in pot and the next hand ya hero call and then your Ak fold for such little raise
How does 910 at 16:10 not raise with the nuts...
There's a flush out there, and I 3x overbet
Oh I saw it wrong. I thought it was 2 diamonds and 2 hearts 🤦
@@shhname hahaha all good :)
Folds trip aces. Real boy needs to try something else.
It's like 60 hours of winrate for a lot people, big decision to make if you're wrong!
@BluffaloSam I agree. But if you play A2. And get trips. That's your bed. Really enjoying your vlogs. Keep up the good work.

Merry xmas to you too! Gotta love poker :))

Please remember to mute the videos the chip shuffling is piercing!!! So happy to see you run good this stream. Can’t wait to see the next!

you are such a bad player.
The way you play is still very bad. Trash hands! That's why you lose so much.
