I've always been a glutton for long grinding sessions specially at 1-2s 200 max way back when ... I've had a couple 4k stacks doing that now I think about it.. that's like days of playing tho lol..
Anywho good stuff man.. keep it trucking, deep stack is where's it at 🤸

Hey man, great vlog, you just got a new subscriber. Just a little tip :When you are involved in a hand that ends up All in, even if you fold, please show the action until the river. I think us viewers will appreciate that! (I'm talking about the A10 hand). Thanks!
Ahh yeah, no problem! Thanks for the subscribe fella :)
Nicely done!!!
Man you wasn't kidding. Nice one Sam!

Thanks fella:)
Sam I've really enjoyed this vlog..cheers
I'm glad you did!
Currently on episode 24. Found your vlog last week. I like your thought process. See you in the comment section in the near future once I catch up.
Sounds good! Glad you're enjoying them :)
23:50 you should add some semi-bluff steals to your game. That pot was there for the taking and with your image - boom.
Love the vlogs! Curious if you could expound a bit on your decision to check the river w/ KK on K7679. Does the possibility that you have AQ/AJdd/missed diamonds widen your bluffing range sufficiently such that you can profitably shove the river and get called by JJ, TT, 88, or any hand that riveted a 9? Or do you feel that you simply don’t have enough bluffs? I ask because I instinctively would have shoved the river as I feel that villain has mostly showdown value with very few missed draws, though I didn’t actually enumerate the combinations.
I figured if he has trips, he's gonna bet himself when checked to, I don't think his pocket pairs below KK call Turn, so I thought he was weighted towards trips, or missed draws. Missed draws aren't calling a bet, and trips are most likely betting River. I also really like having monsters in my River Check range, just incase I'm bluffing with something like AQ that still has SDV vs some missed draws, they can't just relentlessly bluff me when checked to
You play so much tighter than what I'm accustomed to. It's nice to learn from a different style of playing. I guess also when you play 2/5 you have to assume opponents have strong holdings almost all of the time
We're multiway a lot, and most of my opponents are thinking players on the tighter side. Nearly everyone in live poker is severely underbluffing, and I think moreso in Vancouver, where players are a bit more on the conservative side.
Love your commentary
Vamooo gl ,i from Brazil 👍👍👍 tamo junto 👍
I think on the kings top set hand the river is a pure value bet. Maybe like 280-350 get that crying call from 10s as stated. The frequency he’s gonna turn any hand into a bluff is very seldom compared to the amount you would just get a call
great content really like your game . would to see you get to 10k subs soon,
Thank you Russ! Me too buddy :)
Hey Sam!! I love the content man!! Was wondering what days you usually play? Would love to meet you in person and say hi
I don't think I'm going to be able to get another Vancouver session in before I leave unfortunately. I'll post my return date on a future video though!
NICE WORK on and off the felt 1500 1-1 home game
Jesus 1500bbs hahahaha home games are ridiculous
fun timeya 1-1 plays a bit bigger@@BluffaloSam
How is checking too full house going for it all? I think I small blocker bet or shove is best.
If I had bottom set I really like betting a lot more, but with top set I think check and induce is best.
I was the 500th like on this video and subscribed I can now say I’m a day one pre 1200 subs!!❤
Amazing, thank you!!!
Im the villian in the Ac6c hand, i called you down with QcQx, my read was you had 86 exactly, but im also beating 8/7 7/6 6/5 type hands that would bet river, and my Qc plus Kc on the board blocks a lot of 2 club broad way hands. was thinking between jamming and calling tbh, . Guess i saved money not jamming if you were gonna call off. Good hand see u next time
I was thinking QQc was the most likely holding! Solid read though, that's my entire bluff range you figured out. I think I'd be around 50/50 between calling and folding River, almost anyone else I'd just snap fold, but I reckon you could definitely find some creative bluffs like that. A lot of fun playing with you!!
Sun run
Let’s see a full session at the Wynn 1:3 game!
I may do another full session, but at 5/10 in the future
Lol never folding turn with a 7 that’s just crazy
It's not THAT crazy!
I’ve heard you say a couple times that you were getting older. Exactly how old are you?
With your smidge and my now bigger phone, because my old small one crapped out, I can now see the graphics
Success!!!
how are you randomizing at the table? I know alot of people use suits
The second hand on my watch
@@BluffaloSam Wow, thats even more ingenious. Too bad I can't get myself to wear watches lol. What do you do to study? I'm in a kind of crappy limbo situation where I hate playing online but arn't really able to play live because the big city i'm in has a casino that's been refusing to reopen their poker room and the closest one is like 1:15 min drive. I keep hearing that they're going to open their room sometime in the next half year and i'd like to get ready to see if I can start out at 1/2 or 1/3 and get anywhere.
@SuicidelG my drive is about 40 mins each way, it's not too big of a deal if you do 8+hour sessions. If you wanted to really study, join a monthly subscription coaching site (I personally like upswing poker) it will help a lot.
10:04 what tough spots is he gonna put you in anyways? You have the stone cold nuts lol.
I really think this 2-5 game at your casino is really tough. I’ve played alot of 2-5 games and this one is definitely tougher than most. If i were you i'd stick with the 1-3 game you were playing (as you were consistently profitable there) or find a softer 2-5 game. At least until you have a bigger roll anyways.
Either way nice win! Glad to see you book a win after the last few beatings. Also, glad you reduced your buy in to $1000. Smart move
I meant if I alter my strategy here, in similar spots when I'm bluffing if he's paying attention he can reexploit me.
I've almost always done a 1k buyin at 2/5. Sometimes if I'm down to $300 I'll just top up another $1,000 on top. I really like this 2/5 game, it's great practice for tougher bigger games. Hope to one day play higher than 5/10!
@@BluffaloSam Ahh got ya. I misunderstood what you mean.
I thought you said in a Vlog a while back you were doing $1500 buy ins. Which is massive compared to your roll.
If you’re enjoying the game and think you can beat it for the same or better win rate then by all means!
Enjoying watching the progression!
@nicholi2789 ahh gotcha! I wanted to get up to $15,000-$20,000 in my roll before shot taking 2/5, but I just couldn't help myself
How u don't bet with top set?🙄🙄
Hello Sam,
I'm french so I'm sorry if my english is bad 😅
Can you tell me in which city are you playing and what's the name of the Casino please ?
Vancouver, BC! Grand Villa Casino
Ah these are canadabucks?

29 hands an hour after breaks! Those must be incredible dealers. The players are very lucky to have dealers that good.
Yeah, no kidding. At a 2/5 game as well!
Bet youre in Texas where 20/hr is the max you'll see esp with bi-hourly bomb pots
@@MrSkill_420 I'm in Portland now, and it's like 10-15/hour. No auto shufflers, bomb pot every orbit, and players take a bit longer
Played k7 horribly lol solid playing tho man 😂
So so so so bad hahaha
How do you actually "randomize" in game?
I look at the second hand on my watch
You keep talking about deep stack poker being a new concept…so what do you usually play? Low SPR poker or something? I don’t understand the implication
I've almost exclusively played 100bb poker up until now. 3b ranges change, postflop is more defensive, mistakes are more costly
Nobody ever folds full houses, don’t like bluffing river with k10
Yeah, had to be much much bigger, but probably not worth it
AA: Do you think a jam will make JThh fold here? Villain has 9 ❤outs, 5 2pr/trips outs, and 3 GSSD outs. That is 17 total outs. Villain needs 32% equity to call the jam and has nearly 37%. When you jam, you make it very likely that the only hands that call are those that are ahead (QJ/T9) or have plenty of EV to draw. Why not bet something like 40% pot and get called by hands like Qx, maybe Jx, some non-flush draw JTs/J9s/etc.? I think this was a polarization error.
AsJh: Solver donks this flop with only 50% of range and slightly less with the Jh (slightly more with Ah). Solver also continues against this large bet 100% with Ah, 23% with Jh. I think you made the right play for this bet size, but don't forget to consider your overcards and BDFDs!
JJ: I think you played the hand fine. After a bet and a call with a possible flush, you don't rate to be ahead of both ranges. I can see UTG2 betting with the Ac, but what do you expect BB to get to showdown with? Tx? That has to be the very bottom of his range, other than lone clubs.
J4s: I agree that this was a polarization error.
99: I agree that this is a checkback on the flop. For her to be underbluffing, she'd have to bluff less than 28% of the time. That's how often you need to win against this bet size. As for bluffing hands, I'd think Ax would bluff less often than Kx or Qx, especially KJs and QJs, which both block likely Tx hands. I don't know the frequencies of people in your pool, but I am guessing they might play several of these hands as calls against a 3bet.
Nice win! It's always fun when the cards cooperate.
AA: He's the type that could call it off vs a jam with a flush draw just cuz he's in the mood to gamble, so I don't hate jamming here
JJ: I'm mostly not happy with my Flop play, Turn is a pure fold I think.
99: yeah definitely needed to check back that flop
great vlog. Would be great to do a stack size at end.. always great to see the chip porn
I forget to do it so often, I'll try to remember 😂
Why can’t we see the boards in real time lol
What do you mean?
Which casino is this?
Grand Villa my man!
@@BluffaloSam thanks man. Great session. Keep it up!
Do you have to pay taxes on your winnings?
Non professionals don't have to in Canada
@@BluffaloSam You're not considered a professional? I heard the bar is even higher than just professional. Like you pretty much have to be guaranteed to win. I still haven't played a live game. Studying, studying, studying.
Do you know any games around the London area? I know you're out in BC. I just can't find anything within an hour drive.
@@compscilaw I am not. I have 2 other jobs that are full-time and pay higher. As well, I've only been winning for 3-4 months. Could just be variance.
The bar is very high for taxed, I am not a tax professional though! Good luck at your first live session though
@@compscilaw I wouldn't know, sorry
You want to fold the turn after calling the flop at 21:43 for a pot sized bet? Seems like a horrible fold if you made the flop call imo. Dude never puts you on a straight in that spot given the pre flop action.
He's not really thinking about that. When he leads here at best I'm chopping. I am never ever ever winning more than half this pot once he leads
@@BluffaloSamI couldn’t believe my ears when i heard you discussing folding on the turn there. Please run this through GTO and you will see this is ALWAYS a call
@@nilsundeby4557 I'm never winning that hand.
It’s a 3 bet , no such thing as a cold 3 bet
I know 😂 I was gonna say cold 4 bet, but then realized it was a 3bet only
Lose a lot of value checking ur premium holdings
We do benefit from having strong hands in our checking range, allows opponents to bluff when they have nothing, and makes us harder to play against. Betting is almost always preferred with strong hands, but you do wanna have some Checks in there from time to time.
With the J4 hand, I think I do like your bet on the turn for $100 for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, you won't get respect for hitting the overcard like you would if it was an A or K, so you can extract value from a wider range of weak holdings.
Secondly, it means you retain the betting lead on the river and are unlikely to get lead in to.
I would prefer to have a hand like JQ or JK in this scenario but you will almost always get to showdown without any more action
I prefer something like 40% on Turn and blank rivers. Pot just seems a bit much for my hand there
If your BR is around 10k then 2/5 is too high to play sir.
It’s just 20 Buyins which is not recommended.
Conservative players say you need 50-100 Buyins not to play with scared money.
Just saying 🙏🏼✌🏼
Recommended by who, and why? I'm clearly not playing scared money, and I hate traditional BRM numbers pulled off Google. You should be aggressively shot taking to get to 5/10 as fast as reasonably possible. I can lose 7k in the roll and be totally comfortable building it back it up at 1/3.
Bro you are so results oriented like you akwats say I should fold this or that after the fact you kno you lost the hand but in real time if you are thinkin if folding a str8 with your 7 on the river when dia miss you are a knit. Even in the turn, the guy could have the hand he had or 8-9 dia a9 dia, a lot of hands that you beat. You can’t be folding a Str8 on river kuz your chopping 70% of time. And the fact your vlogging it ppl are going to play at you so more aggressively I kno I would pick you apart every time I’m in position knowing your playing so close to the belt. You as a blogger need to call lighter, be more aggressive and bluff knowing ppl have that perception of you. An example is Lex O he used to play like you and now he switched it up and is having his best year. Not hating bro jus telling you wat I see.
Great episode bro! Trying to send you an email if possible?
