I have six 1791 holsters. Every one of them is superlative in design and craftsmanship. The leather is thick and the stitching is strong. You'll have to be a little patient when first getting your 1791 as it will likely need to be broken in. There's an instruction sheet that comes with each on how to do that, it's the old gun wrapped in a plastic bag method. While you may think it's never going to break in, it will. The only downside to dealing with 1791 (and the company and I have argued about this) is their delivery time. It's free shipping, but it takes forever for them to fulfill an order.

Very nice! I got one of these for a TX22, then I traded it for a Beretta 92x RDO Compact, it fit the thing perfectly, now I need one for a Sig P938.!

This was a well thought out and explained review. It obviously is holding up very well like a good pair of quality shoes.

The leather on mine actually goes over the mag release. It's left an indent from the mag release button. If I press against it, it actually can release the mag.

Looks rough inside. How well is your firearm’s finish holding up to holster wear?

Which one did you get for your p226? I'm looking at the Ultra Custom 1791 OWB

How secure is it in the holster? Does it “click” in or is tight because of the construction?

Very tight, especially at first. It doesn't click in, just slides in tight.
