Snapdragon X Elite 🚀 🚀 🚀
I can’t wait to test it out hope it lives up to the hype!
It's X Plus not Elite
Onestly I think amd ryzen 9AI is significantly better
Impressive video and an equally impressive hotel room. I am interested in the ProArt PX13. It is a stunner.
Thanks it is a nice room. And the PX13 is impressive so much power for the size. I just want to benchmark the final release product and see how it handles heavy GPU/CPU work loads.
Good coverage as usual, Chris!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great content and hand on video as always Chris Sir
Thanks for watching!!
The new Zenbook is gonna be a direct competitor to the previously released Surface Laptop. The Zenbook line-up is already premium thin-and-light, but this year it's super sleek.
It’s very nice and so far I think the laptop to get but I need to get in there and test it properly stress out the chipset and see how thermals and battery life are.
Thanks Chris for the Glimpse of what to come. It's really good to see AMD chips in Asus' high end Ultrabooks and productivity laptops. By the way, this time AMD is going with 4 Zen 5 + 8 Zen 5C core for their 12 core CPU design. Unlike Intel, Zen 5C corrs are exactly same as Zen 5 but has lower power consumption and die size, due smaller L2 and L3 cache and lower clock speed
Thanks these chips look very promising and looks like they 1 upped Intel with this. I agree great to see them back with AMD in a big way.
I'm really looking forward to the comparison between Asus ProArt PZ13 2-in-1 (HT5306) vs Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x 14 Gen 9
I would love to do that but Lenovo doesn’t really send me anything now.
@@Techtablets Hopefully soon they will send the product to you, sir
No more numpad on the ProArt P16... :( That's a *HUGE* deal breaker! I gladly cut down on audio quality. Just give me a numpad, please!
The dial integrated in the touchpad is also a weird choice to say the least. What about the GPU? Sadly it tops out at the 4070 again, but what is the voltage and how much VRAM are we getting? Honestly, this model seems disappointing for creators at first sight. I need to update at the end of the year, I was crossing my fingers for the new ProArt, but I'm kinda disappointed. The form-factor is a hell lot worse compared to the 2023 model - at least at first sight.
The table, however, is a nice surprise! It's the first decent Surface Pro alternative I've seen in years and that's always very welcome! An integrated kickstand would have been preferable, but I like the solution a lot still. Questions: Is that a new Asus pen? I guess in collaboration with Wacom once more, the grip feeling will be nice like always! What are the pressure levels if it is a new one though? Only 4000 would be annoying! And the keyboard, is it bluetooth perhaps? that would be a nice addition, especially considering the price of the MS flex keyboard.
Thank you a lot for this first hand-on mate!
i sure want to see the benchmarks. if you can, try and see how much power will these laptops draw from the wall when battery is 100%. some laptops draw more power whenpluged in
Yes some the battery drops a little but lately that hasn’t been a thing. It was a few years back. My old MSI did it. I’ll find out once I can benchmark and stress them out under heavy loads with the display brightness right up.
All of those Looks and sounds great. 16" is big(i normally use 14"=more mobile) but that weight does seduce. And that tablet is very interesting. We'll see whats what on real hands on...
Great video as usual. Have fun there!👑
Thanks I will and see I can’t wait to properly test them with apps and benchmarks but these are prerelease units not 100% finalised.
enjoy food, Mos Burger is the only one i can remember. probably already a video on Taipei food / Taipei akiharbara!
Thanks we have been to some local places proper food from here and it’s been great.
Looking forward to the Snapdragon 2 in 1 ❤
Same here! It should be very interesting
Excellent video!
Thank you!
that task manager report calling the CPU a Ryzen AI 9 HX 170 makes me wonder: was the descriptor change a last minute thing on AMD's part?
it can be "somewhat" called a 3rd gen "AI" CPU if you count the 7000 and 8000 series separately, but it's still mighty confusing and intel-like in naming sense...
Wasn’t final in this engineering sample chip
Cool line up!
Very cool, especially that Zenhook S 16 and PX13 with GPU.
How portable is the P16? Im an on the go video editor and really like the form factor of the PX13, but also love the screen of the 16
finally AMD went from 8 cores to 12 and it seems they have efficiency in check too. zenbook in 14" would be my choice and hope they ship it with 64GB ram as well. snapdragons doesn't interests me at all BTW. and please use LPCAMM2 modules in future devices.
I wont consider any asus product till they manage to understand the importance of customer service. Also i want to see if these are diy repairable
Good video thank you mister!
Thanks for watching. I’m sure it’s top priority after the recent press on the matter from Steve especially they are aware.
Very informative, thank you! 🙏🏼
Glad it was helpful!
PX13 looks awesome
It should be more powerful than the ROG X13 if the RTX 4070 inside is at 90Wh
The stats say 90w but will have to see if it will pull the full 90w under load.
Last year i bought Asus ROG Z13 tablet with RTX 3050Ti and core 9 12900 in a chunky windows tablet. Motherboard and battery failed ( common issue of ROG X laptops too) and processor bottelnecked at 300 MHz after only 5 days of usage!
I was lucky to discover this and send it back within 14 days. Thats why im very sceptical about that companyafter my first purchase!
Snapdragon X Elite ❤️❤️
It's X Plus
I was considering buying a ProArt Studiobook 16 very soon as i am a graphic and motion designer and i need a really powerfull working station. I saw a lot of people telling that still today, the studiobook 16 is a very good laptop to buy and a smart choice. But now that i see the soon (i suppose) release of the pro p16, should i wait for the p16 ? or stick to the studiobook ? What are the differences ? I intended to buy the pro art studiobook H7604 with intel i9 13980HX, nvidia 4070 and upgrading the ram to 64go.
Any advice ? thx
Hi that’s correct that is still a very good laptop. Cheaper now than when it released and the 13980HX is very power combined with the 4070 it will be great for your needs.
lol any windows laptop sucks in graphic and motion design. Buy a macbook, thank me later.
Zenboos S16 is so clean
It sure is and my favourite
Hi! What do you recommend between Fiido Titan bike and Engwe E26? Thank you!
Fiido Titán with the torque sensor is a better ride.
Gonna get that Zenbook S16. Two of macbook airs did not even reach 2 years and their repair is ripping me off. Going back to Windows now on ARM. 💣
Apple is now jokes, Mike broke on 13th month, 1m out of warranty
Wow 2 under years and two units broke?
PX13 looks great 👍
Sure does!
Insted of spending money in influencer, asus should spend it on their CS..
Good work Chris. I hope you told Asus as customers how disappointed we are.
Yes I did talk with them about the recent CS issues RMA etc they are well aware.
Kinda weird to not have numpads on 16 inch laptops
Yes felt like it is missing something to me.
It makes working with "blender" not convenient
PZ13 looks great at the asking price £1199 inc keyboard cover
It sure does and I can’t wait to properly test it out.
Compare to the Huawei X Pro. Which is better?
The Mate X Pro is lighter
It is nice to see OLED displays on IT devices 😍…
I wish it would be 1Hz to 120Hz LTPO tandem-stack OLED displays (like Apple M4 iPad Pro) to lower power consumption while also increasing brightness with always-on functionalities, especially on the tablet 😉…
Also, a thinner (5mm ish), and FANLESS, very low power tablet, with a display that have symmetrical small bezels all-around, and gorilla armor type non reflective coating (like Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra) with magnetic back would be great to stick on the door of the fridge 😉…
We might start to see fanless Windows laptops in a few years if the new Snapdragon ARM chips really take off and become a thing.
As for the displays some of them do drop as low as 48hz for power savings. But OLEDs are taking over now which is good.
@@Techtablets I am hoping for for low-power, fanless design for such a long time, and I am also hoping that with more and more companies making ARM SoC for computers (Qualcomm, but maybe from 2025, Nvidia, Mediatek, Samsung,…), there will finally be some fanless ARM SoCs with reasonable performance to design fanless, thin and responsive tablet (that ideally could also be charge wirelessly through Qi2 / Airfuel wireless charging).
With a low-power tandem-stack always-on OLED display, it would make great tablet to magnetically attach to a fridge, or any other dock (speaker like Google Pixel Tab,…) to display date, time, family schedule/calendar,…
@@Techtablets Yes, OLED technology open new technical opportunities, like LTPO 1Hz always-on functionality, and tandem-stack to lower power consumption.
Also some sensors could be integrated either below the display (ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, 3D FaceID, Metalenz polarID,…), or directly inside the display (Samsung organic photodiode inside each cell)…
All those technologies probably need a bit more time to mature, but in theory, it seems technically possible to have a device with all those technologies sometime between 2025 and 2030.
Ryzen AI 9 HX170 not the HX370?
Sorry the HX 370 naming was changed it seems
How are the FAN NOISE of these asus machines? ASUS KEYNOTE DO NOT MENTION ANY BATTERY LIFE I THINK WE KNOW WHY HAHAHA
These chips run with 28 watts of power and have large battery sizes. The battery life will be fine lol
Around 8-9 hours. Far so far good but I need to stress test it.
Exactly 👍
Can you confirm the PX13 is 120Hz? 9:02
The PX13 is 120hz the P16 is 60hz
@@Techtablets mmm... I just checked both Asus specs description sites and it says 60Hz
Regarding Snapdragon X devices, my impression is that it's the next "16GB ought to be enough for everybody" - 32GB versions, if available at all, are ridiculously expensive (like in case of Surface Pro 11). Asus PZ13 tablet looks impressive but for God's sake, do we really have to solder higher capacity RAM chips ourselves?!
Yes 16GB it seems but they really need a 32GB option.
WTF? Why does that ProArt P16 have a 60hz screen? Last year's version had a 120hz and that smaller PX13 with the similar specs has a 120hz screen. WTF ASUS?
There’s prob configurations for 120hz
@@josephle2381 Nope.
@@WrexBFYeah mb it’s only for the 13 inch version
It's strange because it's essentially a modified Zephyrus G16 which has a 120Hz variable refresh rate display (though the G16 does not support touch).
i don't think this cpu is all that efficient
Battery?
Yes, these laptops come with battery included.
@@keithframe3489No, sold separately
It’s meantioned in the video
Pretty skeptical of this company these days after the most recent exposé by gamers Nexus.
Explain pls
Thanks
asus = 💩 customer service, borderline scammer territory. @@tomislavbosnjak66
@@tomislavbosnjak66 Long story short: costumer service scams. Look up Asus Nexus!
Are we really going to pretend Asus doesn't have an RMA issue?
money talk, man. Weird seeing these people calling for asus boycott a few weeks ago, but then covering their laptops today. what a joke.
No ones pretending that. Steve and everyone has covered it enough. I have nothing to add but have talked to them about it.
I'd be very wary about buying anything from Asus, given their reputation for appalling customer service
its kinda sad because these products looks amazing
I don't care about customer service as long as the products are good.
@MartinzW You will once the glued on hinges break on you, and you'll need assistance! :)
But to be fair, I never had good experiences with HP, Apple, MSI, and co. either, so... Yeah. The examples we saw from Nexus and other sources have been especially outrageous however, gonna have to admit that too. I hope they improve, considering they are among market leaders. If they do, the competition must follow. The pressure absolutely is on ASUS in this regard. Also, I doubt the EU will stay put for long.
@@MacBamboochaAfter the recent press on the matter it’s definitely too of their list to improve things which is good to hear.
@@MartinzW until you receive a lemon
if it doesn't have amd x86 I'm not buying it
arm is for phones and tablets I already have samsung dex why would I pay 2000 bucks for a glorified version of that💀
Why is AMD RYZEN AI 370 NPU NOT SHOWING IN THE TASK MANAGER? WHILE INTEL CORE ULTRAS 1 YEAR OLD NPUS'S SHOWS UP IN TASK MANAGER SAME AS SNAPDRAGON X ELITE. DOES IT MEAN AMD's NPU IS A SCAM? L0L 😂😂😂
Pre release unit and engineering sample chipset so naming wasn’t final.
@Techtablets AMD CPUS even for Ryzen Zen 4 2023 2024 CPUS do not Show their NPUs in Win11 task manager not just Zen 5s. But intel core ultras show up their NPU's in Win11 Task Manager So basically AMD do not have NPUs funny they hype it as AI PC LOL THERE IS NOTHING AI ON THESE PCs you cant even voice command it to boot turn on and off 😄
horrible naming AMD 😑
why did they had to copy Intel's horrible naming style
Can’t say I’m a fan either of them changing it. They followed Intel on this.
