      Too thin. Prefer more ports and a bit beefier cooling. And squeezing lithium batteries that thin can be dangerous due to the dendrite formation issue.

      I am old enough to remember that each laptop bigger than 14inch had a numpad, except Macbooks of course that they were always focused on design and symmetry more than function. Forward years later, everybody is convinced that they cannot work if the trackpad and the spacebar are not exactly centered. And everybody has become a content creator and nobody needs a numpad to enter values.... And I see all this wasted space around the keyboard and I just get upset.

      Intel and QComm have refused to allow slower RAM in their premium chipsets so as LPDDR5X is currently not available in a modular design you have to have it soldered. There is no alternative. We have CAMM2 coming next year to ultra books which will solve this to a point, but until then, this device can only be released with soldered RAM.

    Also facial regeneration on Windows has the worst implementation ever. You cannot rely on the camera for 100% and when it fails you need 3 clicks to back you to Pin or password. Usability nightmare! I always keep it off. The fingerprint scanner is the only decent option!

    • @MatthewMoniz
      @MatthewMoniz  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sure when it fails which isn’t often you do have to enter your pin. But those are far and few between. I personally like windows hello facial recognition but yes a fingerprint reader is faster and more reliable

    What’s the battery life on this new CPU? If it doesn’t hit the same as Qualcomm then I don’t want it. Asus warranty issues also NO GOOD. Don’t buy anything Asus until they fix their stupid warranty and service issues. Just a note on the new CPUs, TOPS is the new sexy benchmark I guess. - got this from Verge The Ryzen AI 9 300-series also appears to have the most TOPS compared to other NPU-configured chips already on or soon to be on the market. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X series has 45 TOPS, Apple’s M4 has 38, and AMD’s last-gen Ryzen 8040 series chips had just 16. Intel’s Meteor Lake Ultra 7 165H has approximately 10 TOPS (but the upcoming Lunar Lake is supposedly going to even the playing field).
