Walaikum assalam. You can use them on a 17 year old. Start using either azelaic acid or alpha arbutin in the night. Rinse with a gentle cleaner in the morning and use sunscreen afterwards.

In pregnancy, you can use vitamin C serum and sunscreen regularly. Also cover your face when going out.
