    Hello Dr.,
    your video is incredibly informative. I wanted to ask for some clarification on the usage of Hydroquinone 4%. Could you kindly advise if it should be used once to twice a week when mixed with tretinoin 0.1%, or if it can be used on other days separately?
    Also, I'm curious to know if the OBAGI product mentioned in the video is OBAGI blend 5 or Obagi Clear 3?
    Thank you so much for sharing your expertise through the video. greatly appreciate 👏👏👏

      It can be used on its own without being mixed with tret, sure. Both have hydroquinone in (3 and 5) as far as I'm aware. However, check out my video coming tomorrow for something even stronger than hydroquinone before you buy anything.

    Doc! I just came across your channel today and I just thought of jotting down some of the queries.
    -when should we use the cleanser? Both morning and evening?
    - can we directly apply the mixture (hydroquinone & tretinoin)
    - Could you suggest a good quality sunscreen easily available in the Indian market?

    • @Dr_Abs
      @Dr_Abs  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Cleanser can be AM and/or PM but depends on the skin and when you shower - over cleansing can worsen the situation

    I recently used hydroquinone for my hyperpigmentation which my dermatologist recommended. But after applying I got rashes on my face and I stop using it . Later after a week or 2 later I went to see other dermatologist which she prescribed me steroid ointment hydrocortisone that also made worst . So I stopped using it but I had black color pigmentation on my cheeks near mouth and eyes . My dermatologist referred to a skin specialist to see what cause me skin reaction so they will do a skin patch test to see for what I got this with food or anything else

    Good day Doc.. I'm Genie Tee Ellis from Philippines..
    I have a Melasma at my check area fit about 3 years now.
    I currently using kojic soap evey morning, aha bha every weekend..plus sunscreen rinted spf 50 at Daytime,and reapply it every 2 hours,,.
    vitamin c serum at night time, retinol plus niacinamide ..
    It goes into my skin..it lighten up..
    But my Melasma is still there.. I heard about your channel and i like and try to use hydroquinone..but im scared ..i need your advice Doc..

    • @Dr_Abs
      @Dr_Abs  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Its still there because your routine is quite weak: retinol is a weak form of vitamin A compared to others, aha/bha once a week is a low frequency, suncream needs to be certain types, vitamin c has many forms and concentrations, niacinamide also has many concentrations.
      A stronger retinoid like a prescription one + prescription pigment inhibitor + protecting eyes with sunglasses + avoiding sun with umbrella/hat etc on top of SPF is a good start. Then something can be added to boost the result like Sciton BBL to remove the pigmentation in 1 or 2 treatments usually.
