I like how you're reading as you type. This is a great series of videos. I've watched almost every single one. I just wish the GPD Win 2 was something I could afford but sadly I cannot. Not right now.
I can thumb type when I am on the bus, but when at a desk I prefer to two finger type (using my index or pointer fingers) on my GPD Win. I suspect I would get similar scores to this. If I really need to type, I just plug in a USB keyboard and go 10 fingers. I've taken over a year's worth of lecture notes with the GPD Win, it's really good for that purpose. Also if you have a gaming PC, can you try Steam in home streaming from the gaming PC with the GPD Win2 as the client ?

Rodion Raskoljnikov windows arm can run older apps via emulation I wonder how will it do regarding gaming, it's going to take a year at least to see the results not a single arm device is released yet
It is one thing to run programs, but with gaming they need to fully support DirectX/OpenGl with 3D acceleration and all that stuff, that is why I am skeptical, but we will see.
Get any affordable ultraportable you can find with a nice keyboard, like a HP Envy x360. Anything but a macbook. Don't waste your money on overrated garbage.
+Digitalguy I have a Pocket and, my personal preference, I prefer the Win2 over the Pocket. Mind you, you can only type with thumbs on the Win2. My problem with the Pocket keyboard was that my left hand felt fine when typing but my right hand felt cramped. Also the Del and Backspace keys on the Pocket weren't ideal for me. But, again, the Pocket you could type with all of your fingers. On Win2 you can really only use your thumbs. Win2 button placement, shape of buttons, force to actuate are all excellent.

I feel exactly like you about the pocket, the right hand is cramped, above all because the keys next to and below the letter M are too small and close, plus some keys in the right hand side are in an unusual position.... But using all my fingers is a must for me as I want to use the device to write emails, blog posts etc. I have a 8" tablet keyboard by Zagg and it is great to type, so much better.... I think I'll have to wait for a Pocket 2, hopefully with Core M and SSD, and maybe an inch bigger to accommodate a better keyboard. And with better wifi range, as the metallic case of the pocket destroys the range (I have to use a wifi dongle to have good wifi signal, which blocks the USB A port...)
Interestingly enough, I got similar results as you did on my GPD Win 1, except that with the way that I type, my right thumb begins to cramp up a little bit, because I have to stretch it out a bit to get some of the keys with the way I hold my GPD. I actually wonder if it were a little bit thicker, if it'd make any sort of difference as well. Hopefully someday, someone might be able to come up with a solution to retrofit GPD Win 1's with new keyboards that are more functional and comfortable, but that's a wish!
+Dumpling King that's a big question. But at default settings with half brightness, you can play a game for 5 hours. For regular Windows use, I still have to determine that.
starmangaiden I’ve used that in a pinch, but the directional nature of a the light of an LCD means you have to angle the screen towards the keys to see anything.

Well, if so why they did this second generation when first was powerfull also. Each year there are new components and also GPD would like to make more money, also price can't be too high to not limit customer base. We will see ;)
Kuba W. the first one was not powerful at all. It was decent. It couldn't play triple A games. It relied on smaller less intensive games like shovel knight and emulators.
I don't get the point of that keyboard, it's too small to type text and you can always use onscreen keyboard, this device have touchscreen. It would be more appealing to me if there is no physical keyboard, but better gamepad buttons placement (like xbox or ps) and clickable sticks. Spekers placement also really weird.
Rincewind The Wizzard Onscreen keyboard would obscure the screen, which is horrendous in landscape especially on a small screen. Especially in MMORPGs or other games with an ingame text chat; an onscreen would be completely useless in those cases. Onscreen keyboards are only useful for web browsing and nothing more.
Yeah, you can get Android devices, like the GPD XD, without a physical keyboard and they'll work just fine with the onscreen keyboard. However far too many PC games - especially the older ones that this is more suited to playing - assume the presence of one and will rely on the occasional button press in the middle of the action even if you don't need to actually do much typing with them. As such, they need to cram it in and it's a case of making the best possible one they can fit into the limited space. If you go to slightly larger devices, like the GPD Pocket, you can get ones that are possible to touch type on with a bit of practice. However, that lacks the gaming controls and has the same processor as the original GPD Win. Still, maybe they'll make a Pocket 2 eventually that offers the best of both worlds. You'd just need a slightly bigger pocket for it.
Yes, test the Hdmi output which is very bad on the win 1 and switch off the fan for a reason when connected and was constantly rotating the screen even with the lock. Test the windows update which was taking hours. Test the WiFi and Bluetooth range. Test all the things that was making the win 1 almost unusable. Stop saying only good things. Do a real review. Nobody wants to see you playing all these games. Peoples want a 10 min complete and objective review.

I get thumb typing but is desk typing that impossible? I really do prefer it, one of the reasons I'm still preferring the P2.
I know a guy who types with his index fingers on it, but keys are way too tiny for me to touch type on.

Devices like this are cool, because you can play most of your old games with it. I highly doubt Windows on ARM will be fully backwards compatible.

Make review of game controllers, especially can You click the sticks like in Xbox controller.
You can't click, R3 and L3 (the joy stick clicks) are by the shoulder buttons. So you have all 3 buttons on the shoulders of the device
still impresive machine, but I think I will wait for next generation, probably next year for better specs

Oh, i completely forgot about old games which not supporting xinput, and mmorpgs, built in keyboard make more sense now.
