Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
Enjoy paradise! Thanks for making this island known. I love quiet islands versus the super-touristy ones. 👍
Great series in Thailand so far! However I did miss a proper explanation of the seasons which can impact the experience greatly. Right now is the absolute best time of year for Thailand: The cool and dry season, roughly from december untill march, depending on the region in the country. After that it really starts to warm up. In summer time its extremely hot and getting more and more humid, so quite uncomfortable. In the autumn the monsoon arrives with tropical storms and heavy rain. Its still quite hot so the place basically turns into a giant sauna. Just something to consider when planning a trip to Thailand.
Nailed it.
It’s the best time of year weather-wise for sure, but also by far the most touristy. My personal favorite times in Thailand are either just before, or just after winter. Like November and March are great months to visit. The weather is still beautiful, and the crowds are gone. Honestly, anytime in Thailand is pretty nice though. Even during the summer rainy season it’s usually only a brief intense downpour in the evening. Most of the days are still sunny. It can be oppressively hot and humid though.
I was watching your Japan videos to get more information for our upcoming trip to Japan in March 2024 and this video came up so clicked pretty fast
I'm in Japan. Can I help with info?
I just love the adventures! And the chat Gabe has while riding his bike! Nicely done..
You need a bit of rain for the cicadas to begin, so go ther right after a rainstorm and you will see :)
I see, good to know.
Are cicadas year round in Thailand?
@@s125ish mostly in rainy season, but those sings after the rain, not during rain, so hope for a rainstorm and enjoy the sunny time right after when they are singing :)
Another great work of showing these beautiful islands. Very informative. Thanks for sharing your Kauai video also. Amazing! Well done.
Beautiful island ! Feels quiet and clean !
Thanks for another great video Gabe. Such a beautiful island. A brief escape to paradise to beat these Winter blues. 🏝️🍹😊
Great video
Cassowaries are my favorite birds..Nice tank top! Happy new year and thx for taking me along with your awesome life.
. Keep up the good Job !
Hooray, you got the Ko Phayam tank top!!!
Love your series ! Would be interesting to know what kind of wildlife are in the woods .
Well worth visiting (little) Ko Chang - i really liked it when i was there - though it is very chilled
actually, little ko chang is Ko si Chang, not too far from pattaya. so theres 3 ko changs in tailand :D
Thanks!
Thanks. 👍✌️
Nice one Gabriel to say the least ❤️👍🙏
Nice Gabriel 😎🙌☀️🌊
this place is very beautiful
Looks beautiful 👍
Love the beaches....thx
Hi Gabriel, You Have Best Time.
Thanks, that's the plan.
That is a beautiful print in that t. Good choice
Man. Looks almost like wood
Block?
Gabe, it may be the actual year, not time of the year for the cicadas. There are different broods for when they emerge and start singing. For example, in my area the 17 year brood are the loudest and most prolific.
I see, good to know.
Nice peaceful island. 🤟
💡👍Brilliant !!
Doesn’t get much better than that beach and jungle. Love your new colorful shirts. How many countries has your Hawaii hat been? I love that you hold value to items and not a throwaway guy.😊❤
I bought the Hawaii hat in Honolulu last spring. So if you include the US then it's 22 that I've been to since then. The perfect hat, hopefully it sticks around for a while.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Awesome, your a great treasure of a guy.🤗🍺Cheers.
a beautiful beach 🏖️
When you first said Koh Panyam I thought you were mispronouncing Koh Phangan, the very popular island in the Gulf of Thailand. Thank you for sharing your experiences in this exquisite unknown island!
That Island looks more green than most others i have been to .I am thinking of giving it a try .Airasia flyies to Ranong from the old Bangkok airport for 33 Euro currently .
Beautiful place to be, every ride is an adventure 😍🌳🌴🌊🌞
Every day is a winding road. 😊
@@GabrielTravelerVideos 🙏💫🌴
It's been two years since I've checked on you. Happy to see you're still going strong.
very cool the dogs
funny you release this video after i met a girl from that works on that island earlier this week. I hadnt heard of it until this week and then you also mention it.
Whoa.
Seems like those dogs knew a secret view point spot! lol
What country are you going to next
No idea yet, I'm curious to find out myself.
this is one of the best country to visit .
Gabe, what's your favorite island of all time? Keep up the great videos, please!
Koh Chang - do it. I randomly clicked on "Mama's Bungalows" and yep i'd definitely be going there! Looks amazing 👏
It's amazing.
Perfect place, I prefer the quiet cultures😃
Jungle feel
Cicadas very loud atm in Queensland Australia. From 4am to 4pm
Okay, I'm booking the next flight there.
Giday Gabriel 😎

Awesome! I live in Chiang Mai and intend to visit there. Thanks for all the great info! Is there freediving there do you know? 🐬
No idea about the freediving. Ko Tao is more popular for diving. But I guess you can freedive wherever you want.
Thank you!@@GabrielTravelerVideos I’ve been to Ko Tao, but it’s too touristy for me personally. Philippines is next on my list. Maybe see you in Chiang Mai!
Super ♥️

@@DaltonMirklestein is this a thing on TH-cam? I’m not aware of this. I’m very happy when I see Gabriel posts a new video and always watch, I think it just shows I’m on my phone too much lol, it’s only channel I have notifications on, my favorite travel vlogger. I have missed Gabriel in a few countries by only a day or 2, maybe one day our paths will cross, I love to travel♥️
@@522sunpaz Congratulations on your silver. Travel is great. Travel wise. Follow Gabe 👍
You should sell your own line of tank tops based on your favorite countries you've visited and wear them on your trips. I bet they'd sell well!
Gabriel, Nice adventure , seeking a nice beach ! As long as the water is clear enough that you can see your feet , no trash, garbage or vegetation , the water ought to be nice . No sharks , rays, jelly fish ? That is a huge bonus . The jungle is rather creepy , so do you need to yell , hey snake … ( as you say say hey bear ….on other hikes 🤣) ?
Great adventure again. Can u tell me if this island is excessive in the months of July august. Thanks so much enjoy your travels for years. Donnie in Arizona
What do you mean by excessive, in terms of heat or crowds? I'm actually not sure on either one since I haven't been there during that time. But I think it's the rainier season as well as low season. Temperatures are probably similar to now, hot and humid but more rain and maybe less people.
Love it! I lived in Thailand for 10 years and I’ve never heard of this island. Is it lesser known than Koh Si Chang (not to be confused with any of the Koh Changs!)?
I suggest adventuring your way to Mae Hong Son up in the north. Also Chiang Dao. 🙏🏻
I did the Mae Hong Son loop back in 2007, fun times.
I will be there in February for a few days
Thanks for the notification Gene
@@DaltonMirklestein You're welcome
What are you doing tomorrow Gene?
Wow all those round stones resemble crystals!
I've had a familiar experience, but with mosquitos in Manitoba . not as fun but I remember being overwhelmed Ike you said (was in a tent). cheers good stuff in Thailand.
It's gotta be crazy there. Worst mosquitoes I've experienced were in Denali Park, Alaska. Absolutely swarmed.
I met beggars in Flin Flon. Terrible
Where are the tropical flowers?
The crabs are filtering plankton from the sand, eating it , and leaving a sand ball.
I see, very interesting.
Do they have power and Internet over on the main beach where you're staying? When I was there in 2014 they only had generator power after dark until around midnight. Ahh, the good ol days. And I stayed a few nights at this hippie place built on the cliff for $5 a night. They had a live eagle there too and when the tide came up you were trapped there.
Yep, there's electricity, wifi, etc.
😎👍
👍👍👍
You should go to The Philippines next....
Hi from Arizona 3 AM 40 degrees
Hello friend ❤️❤️
👍👍
Next year Koh Phayam will be just like Phi Phi thanks to Gabriel Traveller.
Any scuba diving there ? Imagine there must be some reefs
Can you recommend an old school dive watch?
Gabriel, why is it that these beaches are so deserted? Is it the off season there or something?
It's the high season actually, this island just isn't that popular.
What kind of motorbike is that
Spooter
I wear glasses and am blind without them. I’m wondering if there are any prescription goggles out there for snorkeling or general water/beach fun
Not sure about that, but it seems likely they exist. Might be expensive.
Hell yeah looks like a really cool place. The number of totally unspoiled Thai islands is getting fewer and fewer. I think I read a while back that you used to be able to take a ferry from that area of Ranong directly over to Myanmar. But with the current political situation I don’t know if it is still possible.
Yes, I did it in 2014 on a visa run from Thailand, and stayed the night in Myanmar:

Try easten Indonesian islands mister Gabriel
Cruise down over the road in strange village of the island
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF KOH KOOD AND ( KOH CHANG EAST) ARE THE SAME VIBE..IM GOING TO BOTH COMING UP SOON HERE...IVE BEEN TO THAILAND SEVERAL TIMES BUT NOT THEM ISLANDS..THANX PEACE
Ko Chang is a lot more commercialized. Ko Kood is quieter and kind of wild. I recommend them both, also Ko Mak.
😊😊😊❤🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇦
❤❤❤❤👍
2K 2 Go! What can we do? ☆ 🌲😎🌲
Those beaches need rows of coconut trees.Or don’t they grow in Thailand?
Some of the cicadas in Thailand sound like circular saws at full rpm.. deafening.
What is the Cheapest hostel/guest house Price you have seen on Ko Phayam ?
I don't remember the prices of other places when I was looking online, but you could check booking.com
where is the best milk? I am also a milk lover. Dalat Milk in Vietnam may be. (aside from USA Canada)
You should definitely go to Vietnam 🇻🇳 since you’re in the neighbourhood. It’s a short flight and super cheap for a return flight from Bangkok to Saigon. You won’t be disappointed 🎉🎉🎉
I spent a few weeks there five years ago, really liked it: th-cam.com/video/9uv5Nc4ustQ/w-d-xo.html
I hear ya, but Gabe, that was 5 years ago bruh. 😲
We might see you there then. So many great places to explore for you. Hanoi, Saigon, Danang and Halang Bay I think it's called. @@GabrielTravelerVideos
@@jacksoncornbreadmcbride6763 It's worth a revisit soon but probably not this trip, I'm headed back to the US this month to take a break and consider the 2024 travel plans.
thailand is just the best landscape, best food, best travel infrastructure and most affordable country, all other countries are just watching from the shadows. its just the way it is ....
It also has its downside but you will only notice it if you stay longer than the usual two week tourist vacation...
i spent 5 months here never saw a downside that a man didnt bring upon himself.@@PauloGaetathe_original
The guy who drove down past you on the bike could've told you there was nothing further up!
350 baht each for a tank top/vest, he definitely saw you coming lol
I don’t know how to ask this question without it sounding judgemental but you’ll just have to take my word for it that’s not what’s intended… but how do so many people get to hang out on a beach playing bongos without a care in the world and afford to do so?
Life's a 🏖
I dare you to go to koh chang
Please visit Famous INDIAN 🇮🇳 Lakshadweep island sir ❤❤❤
We are thankful he left. Hopefully he'll visit Pakistan soon
Noooooooo!!! You’ve unlocked the secret, my paradise…. Noooo!!! Here we go, Another Samui here we come 😩😩
That place is hardly a secret at all LOL 100% a clickbait title 😂
Selfish attitude.

All good. Thnx for clarifying..😊
Are there sharks in Thailand ?
🐋🐳🐳
Yes, you can even do a shark dive.
Yes, I saw some when snorkeling, but they're harmless: th-cam.com/video/RAqtGhiKe0g/w-d-xo.html

You need to upgrade your camera. The colors look like something from the early 2010's. It doesn't really show the beauty of the island.
You should have carried on down the last path you were on. There is a resort at the end of it. Bungalows on the beach type of place.
I spent a week on the island 18 months ago. No bike, walked everywhere.
Great place, except getting bitten by a dog at the temple.
I went there the next day: th-cam.com/video/FKFNl_SB9l8/w-d-xo.html

I don't think you have been to the Andamans, the beaches there will blow your mind.
I visited there in 2006, loved it. No videos but there's a whole crazy story about taking the ferry there from Chennai.
haha maybe you have never heard of it, ive been there 20 years ago already you pipe 😅
Same here, once before in 2008. Point being it's not nearly as well known as other islands such as Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, etc.
Why don't you come to Myanmar although you are travelling around Neighboring countries of Myanmar? WHY? BECAUSE OUR COUNTRY IS POOR?
He's been to Myanmar years ago and he showed it recently on a video. Bit of a stupid comment about it being poor as he has travelled in many non wealthy countries.
Indeed, gab was in Bangladesh as well .
1) If you are begging for something, basic logic tells you to at least beg with some respect.
2) Don't be lazy....Do basic research, before accusing someone of something.
3) You are entitled to NOTHING.
The reply was on your man saying why not Myamar, thought indeed not relevant as Gab has a plan and a job how he sees best, Gab is doing an amazing job for a lot of years. And hope to bump in to his travels and treat him on a good beer.
Wow that's an ignorant thing to say
yes!
