Just bought my plane ticket, 15 hour direct flight from Chicago to Seoul, 50m layover and landing in Bangkok at 10:30 pm, mid February, can't wait.
Woo! Hoo! We did TC to Chicago (3 hours which included the mandated two hour check-in prior) Chicago to Doha. (14 hours) with three hour layover, Doha to Phuket (7.5) total of Needless to say, I was stumbling after I got off in Thailand. We stayed two months and are looking into retirement visas at this point. The flight is rough. We enjoyed Qatar Air very much tho. Good luck on your travels.
@@5thdimension625 Thank you s much, I've heard good things about Qatar Air but the layover in Doha was 3 hours, Korean Air was only 50 min., have never done a 15 hour flight before, should be fun, and I am too wanting to get a retirement visa, that's why I'm going, Happy New Year!🎆🎆🎆

A 50 minute layover is risky. If your flight from Chicago is delayed, it may be difficult to make the connection.

Perhaps the greatest asset Gabriel has is his health: no dental; issues, eye sight problem, stomach or other mobility issues. Despite having rarely a home cooked meal in 365 days he does what he does because he is not held by lousy ailments like I do. Very blessed indeed. The amount of money dentists have had from me I could have gone around the world 3 times over.

That’s a price one would pay in anywhere usa not Thailand??? Spendy! I do appreciate the fact that you give important details for getting around etc and not just commercial like content that’s basically useless to someone who wants to visit an area you’ve been to. I had Thai food for the first time years ago in Bangkok and I consider it to be the best that I have ever eaten..Fresh spices give it that distinct taste and aroma.There are Thai restaurants here in our country -like elsewhere in the world but somehow it is not the same anymore.The food ,and especially in your presentation ,was very tempting!Cheers and happy new year,2024!Enjoy Thailand.

That beach right there is my biggest nightmare
Why?
I think you maybe stayed in the Khoa Takiab area last time. It's a little further south from the centre and a nicer beach imo. Spent many holidays in Hua Hin visiting family over the years. My parents are actually in Hua Hin right now so I was keeping an eye out for them in background. 😂 It's a lovely little town but it had became A LOT busier and more touristy over the years.

Came to bangkok yesterday. Would have come one day earlier if I would not have missed that transiting with air india between delhi and mumbai would require a visa. I get to the check in counter and is refused to board.Go home a long way from the airport to book a new flight sunday night.
Luck would have it we had a flight attendant that looked like Mona Lisa, with that smirk and then I had a wonderful rock climber as a seat companion on the long flight from vienna.
She took my flying outside europe virginity, while herself having visited 80 countries already.
Have taken my first long walk in the scorching heat around the don mueang area today.

Yeah I'd say so. I still do pretty much all the same stuff, stay in somewhat nicer places sometimes and rent cars but mostly doing the same thing.

220 baht is the common fee of ATMs in Thailand. AEON is the only one that used to charge 180 baht for withdrawals, not sure if they still do.
