I work there and I do make the blooming onions I work in cold prep and I work hard for everything that every single customer eats I take pride in my work and I stand over 8 hours a day trying to provide everything all the way down to the Bloomin Onion the handmaid dressings the salad the diced and sliced onions and tomatoes the shredded cheese the rattlesnake bites it's a hard job just to keep customers happy overall I think our food is awesome
Right! I also work at a Roadhouse in Charleston, Wv. And there are absolutely days where you have a random employee who just does not take the same pride in their job as the others, and the rest of us just have to do a better job of catching the not up to par product that may go to the table. IF ONLY every single one of us actually love our job and care about the quality of what we serve. Unfortunately things will slip by and hopefully we are given the opportunity to fix it for them!
I know you guys do. That is one place I can go and know 100% my food is going to be consistently great. You guys are awesome and always nice. Thank you, I hope you guys get paid/treated well
There's way better steak restaurants that serve waybetter steaks and I could cook a way better steak at home then Texas Roadhouse especially if I cook a ribeye or a New York strip
Me either. Practically enjoy everything on their menu that I've tried. I like the ribeye to but the few times I've ordered it, it had a bit too much fat on it. Same with the prime rib. But seasoned & cooked well
This has to be the biggest hatchet review I’ve viewed recently, I eaten at Texas Road House lots of times and never had bad steak (I order mine medium rare), the salad you get is great and the baked potato never half cooked, buns are tasty too!!!
This is a hatchet review. Not accurate in anyway and should be banned from yahoo etc. Totally unfair for the people who run these restaurants trying to please these kind of people that review. Not fair. We will decide for ourselves. Your "Unprofessional opinion" really doesn't matter!
The Country fried sirloin and Country fried Chicken was good in 2003 when it was twice as big (yeah they had big plates back then) and 3 times as thick. But yeah it sucks now. Also, the Fort Worth Rib Eye is not too good because it is less than half as thick as what they show at the door, which makes it also too thin. So, what is good there?
@@davekulberg3215 I have eaten at one in Dallas, Texas and one in Viera, FL. The plates were tiny (compared to 2003) at both places. The Country fried sirloin in Viera FL and the Country fried chicken in Dallas both too thin and didn't even fill the tiny new plates. The employees were nice, even offering to let us drop peanut shells on the clean shell free floor. But I suspect you don't have earlier years to compare to and I am sure some places don't serve ribeye cut less than half as thick as what is shown at the door.
*Can't speak for yours, but Our TX Rd Hse has a line of cars wrapped around the bldg at all hours-My pers favorite, Good food, Good atmosphere, Svc is very good /friendly)
Every bone-in ribeye I've had at Texas Roadhouse has always been excellent, and I have the bread pudding every time I go; so what if it's loaded with calories and sugar, it's not like I'm eating it everyday of the week.
They're coming for the wrong restaurant. They better try that shit with Applebee's. I dont play about Texas roadhouse. Their bread alone makes me wanna smack my momma 😭
I love Texas Roadhouse, the food is outstanding. I have the onion to munch on while my steak is being prepared, which is delicious by the way. My baked potatoe is baked just right with all the toppings I asked for. No meal is complete without bread and the rolls are perfect, I usually have extras. I would recommend Texas Roadhouse to anyone wanting a fantastic meal.
I’ve always loved their food! Ate nightly at the Texas Roadhouse in Florence, Alabama. Met many kiddos (employees of Tx Roadhouse) that I love to this day
I eat the bone in Rib eye every time I. go there! I have never had a bad steak! Rib eyes are high in fat that’s why I love them. No better steak house💗
All the negatives reviews can be blamed on individual locations. People factor has big influence of food quality from chef competency to restaurant management.......
True. But I liked it in 2003. Didn't go again until 2008 and plates were smaller and servings were smaller. Went recently Texas and Florida and plates tiny and food so thin it no longer taste good. And the Viera FL location served Fort Worth Ribeye cut less than half as thick as shown at door (that was probably the location issue you mention). But not the others.
I think it comes down to kitchen staff. If you have cooks that don’t care and don’t want to be there, your food is gonna suck no matter what you order. Here in Buffalo, NY Texas Roadhouse is huge and pretty much everyone’s go to. It’s affordable, delicious & you always leave there full. 😋
I guess that Mashed never stopped to consider that the negative reviews might have been from a disgruntled ex-employee or the competition down the street trying to sabotage the restaurant
I've eaten the ribs and ribeye before, and they're honestly really good for the price. I can understand the ribs, but I don't know why the ribeye would be considered something to avoid.
I'm 82 and I'm not overweight (135 lbs), no major health issues and enough money to eat what I want and like without consulting some dietician whose knowledge is valuable to those who eat like pigs. I eat until my hunger is satisfied and then I stop regardless of how much food remains on the plate. Most food is never good the next day so I let the restaurant have it back if I don't eat it.
When you are one of the best restaurants in the country your bound to get a few bad reviews. I've had just about everything on their menu and I've never been dissatisfied with anything. As a matter of fact, the best steak I've ever had in my life was a Texas roadhouse 20oz ribeye. (Note) not all Ribeyes are alike and not all cooks are masters. I just got lucky that day.
So there’s basically a few people alive who you found that don’t like everything on their menu. Are you new to planet Earth? Texas Roadhouse food is outstanding.
In middletown NY, my Texas Road house is THE BEST! I have been to many TR in other and other states, good quality but not flavorful. Mines is different and the best!
I love the Cactus blossom I've never had a problem with it. I will say though I have got prime rib my cut was a bit of a thin cut and, yes, I know prime rib has a lot of fat on it and is suppose to but the level of meat to fat ratio was mostly fat :( overall, I love the Texas Road house!
Hold on here…the chicken country fried steak is one of the best around by any measure. I’m a huge fan of country fried chicken steak and these folks put together get an A. The gravy is outstanding, chicken super tender and crispy. Do not believe the negatives on this dish.
I've been to Roadhouse dozens of times and have never had a bad meal or experience. Burgers, prime rib, steaks and ribs are excellent. Dont know what location the doubters went to but the two I go to are on the money everytime. Ashland,ky and Pikeville ky are my go to restaurants for food and service is always good. Order medium rare burgers, prime rib and steak next time if you wanna complain about overdone.
My experience at Texas roadhouse has been nothing but excellent excellent! It sounds like there’s a whole bunch of haters out there trying to slam Texas roadhouse but guess what, you are wrong!
I’ve never had problems with the food at Texas Roadhouse. This seems like a hatchet job by this channel masquerading as food connoisseurs/critics. As far as calories, the food at many restaurants have huge amounts of calories.
I think some people don't like TRH because they cater to families so their food isn't thermonuclear spicy hence to spice fanatics bland we love it and order any cut of beef well done its going to be tough as old boots
I personally worked at txrh for years. It's TRUE the porterhouse is not hand cut. It is not a big seller so they order them individually vac sealed. Every other steak is hand cut. I made the cream gravy every day I worked there and if you complain about the gravy it was made incorrectly.
I have to say this is the only restaurant who served me a country fried steak that I liked. I would go try it yourself to get a better idea.....a cali person eating texas food..... reviews make sense now lol
I like their sirloin steak; cooked well and tender. I get mashed potatoes because the baked potatoes has too much salt on the skin. Their buns are great and salads, & sweet potatoes. Never disappointed.
Gee, amazing that a deep fried onion would be greasy (and not taste as good when cold)! What powerful insight for a food reviewer! I rate Texas Roadhouse far above Longhorn Steaks (probably its main rival in the franchise steak restaurant business). Longhorn uses far too much 'seasoning' on their steaks and their steaks are generally tougher than TR's in my experience.
Last couple of times I have eaten at a Texas Roadhouse the meals were just very, very good! Had an 8 oz. N.Y. Strip and the meat was so tender it nearly melted in your mouth! You can tel very quick if the meat is tender when you first start to cut your steak! I have started eating the baked sweet tater and like this more then the regular potato. Really can’t complain about any of the steaks I have eaten there but one time I did get a tough one. Very enjoyable place to eat in my opinion!
The fried onion blossom is not meant to be eaten by ONE person, but is 'normally' ordered for a group. I've been in groups of 8 people (250 cal per person) and we could not eat the entire thing.
Looks like someone has it out for Texas Roadhouse, possibly a competitor? Sure they are not a 5 star establishment nor do they claim to be. But I've never had a bad meal and it's affordable. In fact, this vid has me in the mood for a burger. Placing a take-out order from them as soon as I close this out.
Say what you want about TR ribs but every time I order them the meat falls off the bone and it tastes fantastic. There might be more I'm not aware of but that's my honest opinion! 💪mrwtby
I’m guessing the patrons of the Texas Roadhouse near me must not have watched this hit job. Always a wait for dinner. I guess to be a “critic” you must criticize. I have never been disappointed with any visit.
I go to the roadhouse and get the same plate for my birthday the last 18 years and only been disappointed once. 8oz sirloin WELL DONE Texas fries House salad
You could make a video like this about ANY chain restaurant. They're serving colossal volumes of food, somebody is bound to get a dud and complain online about it.
I can’t think of anything I have eaten that’s bad at TR. we go all the time and they are very supportive of veterans. Next time I go, I will be sure to order the deep fried onion and chicken fried chicken. You can’t trust folks on yelp or otherwise. The world is full of whiners. Oh by the way…. Texas Roadhouse does not bill themselves as a health bar. That’s why I love it.
I've had every meat they mention. Few problems. Mostly not cooked to the way I like. The wait staff took it back and brought me out one cooked just right. Those who were complaining a bit of advice. You are at an establishment that is there to provide you with what you want. Send it back and asked for another. Only an idiot would sit there and continue eating something that they hate. As for the ribs, do you know the size of a full rack? So yes the calorie count and fat count will be up. What do you want two ribs, a slice of backed potatoes three beans and a salad with one leaf of lettuce and no dressing?
B.S. I've only had one or two disappointing meals after going to our Roadhouse for over 10 years now. And both times the waiter/waitress made it right. I might agree about the cactus blossom on a "unhealthy " basis but that's an individual choice. Ignore this posting. It's Probably created by one of their competition trying to sabatoge their business!
Quite obviously, this woman has never been to a Texas Roadhouse. I've been there hundreds of times and never experienced anything short of perfection in the food or the service.
Sure, one place rates Texas Roadhouse as being close to Ruth Chris's Steak and this one review is running everything in the ground. I ate steak there before it was real good, ate chili once and it was very good. Everything I ever ate at Texas Roadhouse was very delicious.
We eat at Texas Roadhouse a couple of times a month and have never been disappointed in any of the food and I would and do recommend it to people I talk with
I’ve never gotten a bad meal from T-R and I tried almost everything they offer. One of my favorite places to go. Problem is it’s always packed (with happy customers).
I once had a combo plate with sirloin steak and bb chicken. The sreak was tough and the chicken drenched in liquid smoke. It was so smoke flavored, it was inedible. I know the flavor. I make my own jerjy and liquid smoke it a key ingredient. The bread and cinnamon butter was the best part of the meal. I wont be back. I think ill give Logans a try.
I'm a bit of an BBQ snob and can honestly say they nailed it with the Ribs. I ordered them several times and only once did I get a decent rack out of it. Never again...
I eaten at Texas Roadhouse last Saturday I all was get their ribs and bake potato the ribs had no meat on them all fat. And the bake potato are sooo small now. I think i'm done with Texas roadhouse. Their going down hill fast.
lol I used to work there and the only accuracies are that the ribs are bad and the bone ins are not cut in house because they don’t have a saw… but the burgers are amazing lol
I have eaten at TR in 7 different states, every time my meal has held up to their standards!!! As well as mine. This is HOG WASH !!!!! The only true thing is ----------Yes, the Calorie count is high, WHO CARES !!!! It's an Awesome place to eat at..........Enough said !!!
All i got from this was that they searched social media for negative reviews.
They always do that.
Exactly, I was going to post the same thing.
Reviewer must be an Oklahoman!🤣🤣🤣

I can only speak for myself, but I don't go to the Texas Roadhouse to eat healthy. I couldn't care less about the calories.
I know right? The video is like "Don't order this steak because it's high in calories and full of fat." I KNOW, THAT'S WHY I WANT IT.
I was just saying that!! The only told us the calories and how unhealthy the bread pudding was, they didn't even have anything to actually bash
The title should say "if you worry about calories, don't go to any steak house"
I think it's funny that anyone would go to a steakhouse and be worried about calories.
thats right !

I can speak for our Texas Road House and the food is always superb! From the appetizers to the 20 oz Rib eye steaks. I find displeasure in this video.
If you think you’re eating at a steak house to eat healthy you should go to Burger King & enjoy the mayonnaise
I LOVE TO EAT AT TEXAS ROADHOUSE 🙂😊🤗
I always get the bone-in ribeye and it's always been delicious across locations.
I’ve always had good food at Texas Roadhouse. I love their ribs.
I ate there last night and every thing was amazing.
I'm a bit of an BBQ snob and can honestly say they nailed it with the Ribs. I ordered them several times and only once did I get a decent rack out of it. Never again...
They got to be kidding me the TRH in Valdosta Georgia is the best steak house we got & the staff is the very best love it
I eaten at Texas Roadhouse last Saturday I all was get their ribs and bake potato the ribs had no meat on them all fat. And the bake potato are sooo small now. I think i'm done with Texas roadhouse. Their going down hill fast.
I've had the ribs 4 times at the Spring Hill TN location and always very good - best ribs I've had.
Well at least they didn't pick on the pork chops! My favorite menu item.
lol I used to work there and the only accuracies are that the ribs are bad and the bone ins are not cut in house because they don’t have a saw… but the burgers are amazing lol
first of all, i work at a Roadhouse, and yes we do not cut out t-bone in house, it is because we do not have a ban saw to cut the t-bone`s.
