Well, actually, even though you guys don't care for it, the chopped steak smothered with onions and mushrooms is my favorite and always consistent. Almost everything I've had at Longhorn has been good, with the exception of always too much salt. Also, unfortunately, almost all soups (canned, at restaurants, etc) have way too much sodium.

That’s weird about the Parmesan Chicken. It’s always been really good when I had it. I like many things there but Parmesan Chicken is one of my favorites. Maybe it depends on the location.

Not like it isn't right in the name and all... lol.
Always get Ribeye or NY Strip if you're after flavor. Get Filet if you're after tenderness(only when ordered rare to medium-rare), and get sirloin if you are simply after a cheap price. And the Chocolate Stampede is not good, skip this and try one of the other deserts (caramel apple goldrush is good).
My wife likes the chop steak. I've had it too, nice value meal.
6:33 970 Grams of salt ... that's almost a Kilogram of salt in one bowl of soup ... surely that can't be correct ?

Salt and butter is how restaurants get you, they stimulate the taste buds, so they add extra.
@@rochellebayne2515 ya, but the point was that they don't add a kilogram of salt to a tiny bowl of soup. The video just mistook grams for micrograms. But ya, adding tons of salt is a cheap way to lower cost by substituting for other ingredients that might actually make the dish taste better, and be healthier.

The chocolate stampede is one of our favorite desserts. Maybe you just need to be a true chocoholic to really appreciate it, and yes, my husband and I share and there is plenty to go around.
Wife and I get the Porterhouse and share it with an extra side, and that fills both of use. Plus we each get some of the filet and strip cuts.
Don't mess with the chocolate stampede. It's my kids fave. We order one dessert and share it.

I've only tried their hamburger and I was very disappointed, but this channel raves about progresso soup being fantastic and I find all of their soups inedible.

The Parmigiana crusted chicken is amazing in this steakhouse. Chicken places usually only serve fried chicken. Great food is great food no matter where you get it
Rumor has it Red Lobster has a great hamburger.
You have to accommodate with your guests. Best to master multiple things. Longhorn and outback steakhouse steak, hamburger taste like s**t.
I always get the chopped steak. I think what they top it off with is very tasty. 😋

The 20 ounce Outlaw Ribeye or the 22 ounce Porterhouse are both excellent. Don't bother with the 12 ounce small boneless ribeye, it is hard to cook it to order, they will overcook it almost every time

I work at longhorn and I can tell you I cook and make tons of parm chickens..
On the Chop Steak: While I'm no fan of LH -- what you described is exactly what they describe on the menu >_> It's a chop/hamburger steak. That means ground beef.
You can cut out some of the sodium by ordering light seasoning.
Tried the chops in two of their restaurants. Super salty each time.
Next time request light or no salt. If you say no salt they must scrape the grill/ stove.
I ALWAYS request no salt or light at McDonald's ordering a 1/4 pounder because it's bombarded with salt on stove plus they add more

The chopped steak is delicious! It comes with caramelized onion, sauteed mushrooms and a very tasty sauce! The baked potato and salad round it out nicely. I order it often and it's reasonably priced.
The Chocolate Stampede is a chocolate lover's dream come true! I received a free one for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Took me 6 days to finish it ( it IS rich!), but I wasn't complaining!
Don’t agree with this at all. I guess my Longhorn has wonderful cooks cause everything was delicious. It’s one of my favorite places.😋

I've only tried longhorns hamburger and fries or baked potato, I forget.
I will never buy their hamburger again. It just simply was a failure to sell at a steakhouse and it should be a tough choice to decide for one vs something else.
The seasoning was a mismatch and tasted like cooked on a pan.
Potato was ok.
The Porterhouse or T-Bone, med rare, mashed potatoes, house salad w xtra cheese, no cucumbers, and a red Mondovi. Trird and tested forget the rest...
Also keep the bread and butter coming, add the Parm to the steak and add Mushrooms and onions on the side, now were cookin!

I went to longhorns the other day. Bread was cold and hard. Vegetables were ice cold.
The stuffed mushrooms are a ✅ app... most locations make them great...
Have never been to LH, Roadhouse or Outback so cant speak to steaks but wouldnt a good steakhouse have cheesecake on dessert menu?
I don’t agree with this.. the chicken crusted Parmesan is amazing and sometimes makes me get it over a ribeye. I always make sure my wife orders it in the larger portion so I can get some if I get a steak

A Longhorn Steakhouse opened up by me this year and I went to check it out. I ordered the bacon cheese burger with nothing else on it. What I got was a cheese and pickle burger. I sent it back and waited, and waited, and then the burger showed up. It had cheese, it had bacon (not much bacon) on what I would call a meh bun and the fries were mundane too. The meat of the burger was excellent but everything else mediocre at best.

That’s a lie the Parmesan crusted chicken is my go to!! And it’s not dry not even the littlest bit! Maybe certain locations but never the ones I went too😂

Pretty sure they served me a cut of chuck eye instead of ribeye to tonight. I've gotten the ribeye a tom of times, I can tell when it's not the right cut of meat. I've been going to the same one for about a year....we moved to Georgia and went to a new one and I swear its chuck eye. Someone out here trying to save a dime on other people's dime. We're pissed
covid took away the prime rib forever and i am now leaving lh for a place to eat a great prime rib. bad move on lh part. im gone and i take 1000s with me
Pet Peeve when it comes to food reviews, "Has no flavor." Please come up with a description of whatever, or what little, flavor there is, but ... "no flavor?" So it's basically ... water? Put a little more effort into describing things you don't care for than just dismissing it as having the same taste as water (or at least stop overusing that actually impossible description).

Have you eaten there more than once? The parmesean crusted chicken is one of their most popular menu items. I've eaten it there for a decade. Sometimes there is more parmesan, never had an issue with that item.
I worked there.....everything is premade and shipped in.....including the steaks

In this case I TOTALLY DISAGREE with you! My FAVORITE dish at Longhorn is the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and it is NOT dry or tasteless! (My only negative is that it is sometimes too salty.) I also like the Salmon better than their steaks! And the French Onion Soup USED to be great but they seem to have changed the recipe a few years ago and it is no longer as good. (Ditto with their formerly great Caesar Salad dressing.) It seems you must have tried these at the WRONG Longhorn location. Try a different one and report back.

So, the first half of the video is all the stuff they didn't like and say you shouldn't order - pretty much the opposite of what the title promised.
And they couldn't even get that right. The parm chicken is the shit along with the chocolate stampede. A buddy of mine had some dental work so he ordered the chopped steak and it was super good, by the way it says what it is right on the menu(Freshly ground and smothered with grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions, and savory garlic herb sauce.)
t bone= porterhouse why do 2 segments. quit the filler or i quit you
A t-bone doesn't have the full piece of filet on it like a porterhouse does. It's about what section the steak is taken from, like the difference between sirloin and New York Strip.
Stopped watching after they disparaged the parmesan crusted chicken. We specifically go there so my wife can get this. She loves it and has never had a bad serving of it. For me, this calls into question all the other opinions of the author. Bailing now.
